wasr a best

...

WASR indeed a best.

But...but I need those DIMPLES

Attached: IMG_20180406_204250.jpg (1680x1260, 684K)

What is a better sling mount option for my vepr 12? I fucking hate that it mounts on the right side at the end of the receiver. Awkward to carry and gets in the way while shooting.
I love the sling mount on the wood stock vepr 12, so easy to carry.

This is the only gun I ever actually use my sling for, and it's the worst mount. It's like a 1/8 mile walk from where I park, pic related, and where the trap range is. Have to carry my clays and launcher and ammo, so need my gun slung

in for 5.56

Dimples are for ladies.

Getting a vepr12 folder for $856, what am I in for? I thought that was a decent price since I’ve seen the slant ones go for 7-800. I know some of you guys have them so I’d like to get some first hand opinions. Not a noguns by any means, but realized I had over a dozen ak’s and no shotgun so I thought it would be an appropriate impulse buy. I know mags are expensive but not too worried about that.

What magazines are those?

black beryl magazines, unobtanium now.

They are sexy. I've been looking all over for Beryl magazines and cant find them except for some sketchy seller on Gunbroker. Hopefully AoA will get a new shipment soon. My hopes are low though.

>wasr a best
>literally made from rejected SAR parts
It's okay, I like to pretend sometimes too

Yeah, keep telling yourself that
While you're at it, enjoy your poor tolerance too, and I'll enjoy my rock solid mag well

>Rejected
Imbligations.
You mean old police/patriot guard parts kits, senpai.

Guys, WTF do I do if my Arsenal’s muzzle brake won’t come off? It’s legit stuck. Someone help please.

Spray with oil.
Let soak.
Make sure you're turning it the right way.

If the front sight is facing towards me, which way is correct?

Oh my bad I didn't even notice it was an AK general. I thought it was just a memorial day thread. Embarrassing...I'll see myself out.

And stay git.

SAR 1 is best 1

Only flipping you shit as it's something that hasn't been practiced in some time, but even the first three results of a basic google search tell the same story

.... is that a Russian optic and mount

That's old fuddlore.
10/63s are dated from the 60's, 70's, and 80's, but all were rebuilt into WASRs after being cut back up and made into parts kits in the 1990s.

SAR-1s were completely new production and made to very good standards on military receivers, that is true.
But 10/63s definitely weren't "reject parts"; Cugir didn't keep rejected parts laying around in bins on the factory floor for 30 years.
Cugir cut them up as police and patriotic guard units turned them in to be demilled and then rebuilt them into WASRs.
"reject parts" was an old fuddlore saying to shit on people that bought $250 WASRs rather than spending $400-500 on Mak90s and other more gucci guns from the era.

"Yes"

Looking at a Pacific Firearms Romanian Ak 74, and looking through the buyers guide I didn’t see it mentioned.
I was wondering if that would be a decent AK? Says it is made of surplus parts?

Source? Scrolling through more results, they all confirm the same thing, and not a one has proposed - let alone sourced - anything otherwise.

Link to where you're looking?

Feels interesting man

Nigga, your only source is like three people on random forums from 10 years ago saying "these were probably rejects" back when everyone hated WASRs.

Common sense/Occam's razor dictates that there's no reason that Cugir would collect all matching "reject parts" from all different eras in bins on the factory floor, keep them all together and matching by serial, and let them sit for 30-40 years before using them.

All 10/63s were produced in the 1990s.
They weren't sitting there in 1995 pumping out trunnions with different era cugir arsenal markings, different years, etc... just for the memes.

Spraying with oil helped a ton. I was turning the right way already. Thanks, user.

Sorry, it’s actually Atlantic arms
atlanticfirearms.com/component/virtuemart/shipping-rifles/romanian-aims-74-rifle-bfpu-detail.html?Itemid=0

Oh okay, "because I said so", gotcha
Have some more examples while you continue to cough up nothing
>forums.gunboards.com/archive/index.php/t-271461.html (talks about 90s WASRs like you reference, and also contains a since dead link to Nalioth's old website which confirmed the info as well)
>akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26124
>sksboards.com/smf/index.php?topic=140054.0
Sure, they might be forum posts, but better than nothing. The only thing I've seen say otherwise so far is Wikipedia, and it was oddly the only thing on that page that had no source
The cool thing about making claims with no evidence is they can be dismissed with no evidence

>4150 US nitride barrel
>doesn't even say from who
Hard pass.

who made your front hand-guard

Almost every single link you've posted is people arguing over whether or not they're rejected or demilled.
You don't have a single solid source stating that they're rejects, for every one random poster backing your opinion in those threads there's another random poster backing my opinion in it.

Explain to me why you believe that Cugir would store thousands of rejected parts with military stamps in all matching kits for 40 years with absolutely nothing to do with them until the mid-1990s?

I own more SAR-1s than I do WASRs, so I'm not shilling here, I'm just backing common sense.

Yes
If you're asking me to explain the average Slav's logic I got nothing for you, nor do I have any clue what the hell happens inside Romania besides vampires and gypsies. I would assume money because you can say that for everything, especially in the dirt poor cold-war-era Balkans. But I'm pretty unfamiliar with them regardless; I only just found out the other day that the PSL is the ROMAK3.

Thanks, any recommendations for 74’s for a poorfag?

They were surplus. Not reject parts

Everytime I have an AK in my LGS they refer to the dust cover as the "upper receiver"
Please kill me

>tfw no answer

Well, for starters Romanians are neither Slavs nor Balkanites linguistically/culturally.

Romania was moving to the AIMS-74 in 5.45 during that era and scrapped tens of thousands of police, patriot guard, and army 7.62x39 rifles into parts kits for sale to the United States.

Approval for the creation and importation of the WASR happened in the mid-late 90's and many of the cut up kits were rebuilt and refinished into WASR 10/63s built on new non-dimpled and internally reinforced civilian receivers.

SAR-1s were completely new production rifles built entirely on military receivers, which is why they have both dimples and the undrilled auto Y stamp that the WASR is lacking.
During this time the AKT98 in .22 was also produced for civilian export alongside the SAR series on military receivers.

>surplus trunnion on a draco c
>not even a full size draco
What the hell IS happening at Cugir?

Also it's an fpk

Drunken monkies with running entirely off of the fact that the formerly communist government entirely paid off their nice/good quality machines.

>fpk not psl
what's the deal with this? Thrown for a loop ever since I browsed IWD's website

Attached: FPK_SVD_STOCK_SETS.jpg (600x399, 103K)

But

Attached: Screenshot_20180527-173007.png (1080x1920, 1.64M)

Oh lord

They were part of the former Ottoman empire and are lumped in with them a lot, but linguistically and culturally have extremely little in common.
Romanian is quite literally a Romance language, look more towards Italy/part sof Slovenia/Spain rather than towards Serbia/Bosnia/Croatia.

Fpk is psl is romakIII

Also wasr is surplus parts. Not reject

Attached: 2018-05-05_13.13.03.jpg (1877x2210, 3.26M)

I also want them so bad...

That's why I was asking the other day if someone has used Rit dye (powder) to dye them. Some Ruger 10/22 people have been able to dye their clear ones quite well.

But no idea about the translucent Beryls.

How do you install an AK trigger group? Is it simple or gunsmith level?

clockwise if left-hand threads.

its easy just be careful they can bite you

Here's a question: have you even glanced at one?
Arguably the easiest thing to replace

It's easy, just zip tie the hammer spring unless your like dermal piercings.

Imagine being such a degenerate that you don't even keep your cleaning rod properly stored in its designated location.

>tells others to git gone

It’s an ALG and in like 5 different pieces.. I’m gonna need to google a guide

Babbys first 74 I want new furniture for it but can’t find anything under 100 anybody want to trade for this stuff, I’m looking for plum

Happy memorial. God bless Patriots.

How does your wasr have a triangle folder

>Guy with shitty tricked out polymer AK "pistol" with brace and tacticool flashlight says "dawg blesssd amerigaa :DDDD"

This checks out.

Why doesn't yours?
Triangle folders are aesthetic.

Attached: IMG_0027.jpg (4019x2199, 1.58M)

I have both the ALG ultimate and enhanced and can confirm you are the brainlet to rule them all
>inb4 roll pin

I think I’ve got a set of plum, shoot me an email at [email protected] and I’ll get back to you later once I have a chance to check

It's called gun smithing
It's kinda funny, when people used to want something, they did it themselves or took it to a tradesmen to have it done. Millennials wouldn't know much about it, our generation has big problems with "I can't outright buy it off some website? Obviously it doesn't exist." and "where did you buy th- oh you did it yourself? Sounds like too much work."
>Note: installation may cost way more than the stock itself

Be aware, is me and I'm the folder owner.

I'm not this mindless old wannabe boomer

WASR a cute.

Attached: IMG_4040.jpg (1200x900, 312K)

>mindless wannabe boomer
You say that like I'm not absolutely correct

>cheek riser on a wire folder
My fucking guy
Now take that trip off

Attached: sherman poweeeeer.jpg (719x814, 69K)

Wait... Boomers are cool now?

Breh

I've been tripping on this board for 7 years now, for good or bad.

Attached: IMG_20180527_101001~6.jpg (2810x3690, 3.04M)

That's cool, don't see how it's relevant at all
Why do tripfags always play the ageism card, like that trumps it all? Is one seriously supposed to go "oh man they've wasted nearly a decade of their life they obviously deserve it"? If anything that adds to the retardation

Complete opposite infact.
He took some guy asking how to get his rifle done like mine as a chance to rant about millennials not wanting to take a saw to their guns.
Der ewige boomer is a plague upon us all, beware the beast boomer, for he shall make a desert of my hobby and yours.

Attached: IMG_0802.jpg (3264x2448, 2.88M)

Well if you prefer everyone to be user, there are plugins for that. I don't have the time or effort in me right now to debate the finer points of interacting online with and without an identifiable persona.

Attached: DSC08033.jpg (1024x768, 231K)

real talk though user, did you do the installation yourself? is this something a retard can do with a vise and hand tools or is it an expensive gunsmith job?

Anybody ever solve the chin weld problem on a Warsaw folding stock without blowing $300 to replace it with an AR stock with cheek riser?

This

Did you read the thread?

Do you mean a wire folder

"""""""Technically""""""" something that you could do yourself with rivets/tool, dremel, press, etc...
But honestly most gunsmiths I've talked to say they'd do a similar job for like $100-150 if you supply the parts yourself.

The issue is parts price/availability, as russian 4.5mm folding rear trunnions are pricey.
The trunnion, folding stock, and gunsmith work would cost more than a normal fixed stock used WASR on gunbroker.

You're much better off buying a 7.62x39 kit build on one of the "khyber" (folding 7.62) receivers that are made in the US.
You can get a complete khyber receiver for $40-50, a romanian kit with barrel for like $450-500, and then just get it put together for another couple hundred, or do it yourself cheap with screws if you're a giant fuck and don't care how long it will last.

Not a wire folder. Bulgarian side folding stock.

Nothing wrong with that

Attached: IMG_8237.jpg (1024x600, 154K)

You want to do it fucked up? I gotcha senpai.

Screws not disclosed or shown on a gunbroker auction are great

Attached: 2018-05-27_21.54.30.jpg (2578x1500, 3.25M)

Everywhere I go is out of orange Bakelite grips with palm swells. Any of you guys know a place that’s got them?

Also, do y’all have any pistol grip you recommend where the screw it comes with is long enough for the sb brace?

I wouldn’t mind doing magpul and dyeing or painting the grips.

post your shit nigger

i actually ordered dye and will report back on the outcome.

Attached: 2018-04-28.jpg (1600x862, 76K)

Lee Armory builds are GTG from what I hear.

stock wont fold its welded. theres your first surprise

Nice mags.

Reminder:
Keep all AKs off the range out of respect for vets on memorial day. Expect to get your ass beat for flashing one of those around.

lmao I wish someone would swing on me at the range while I'm shooting my gats
