Hi, Jow Forums. I wanted to get a nice bolt action, and started looking at milsurp. However, everyone is telling me that the prices on milsurp have spiked to the point where I might as well just buy a modern bolt instead. However, no one gives any recommendations other than a 10/22 Marlin or Savage memes.
Is there a good affordable bolt that doesn't use lmao22?
Just get a CZ if you want to be a faggit about it, buying guns shouldn't be hard.

>I wanted to get a nice bolt action Don't get a milsurp then unless you are really into collecting/LARP value.
A modern $300 welfare boltgun will BTFO old milsurp bolts.

Ruger Americans Savage Axis' CZ bolt lineup

And if I'm in the $650-800 range?

All three brands make more expensive guns but I would also add Bergara to the mix. People will likely throw Remington in but their QC has been in the shitter for years now.
>substandard precision on average >trigger is a lottery >shitty clips, shitty magazine, lock happy rims I'll take my modern sporter, thank you.

There's no reason you can't enjoy both, but for a lot of purpose, milsurp bolt actions are stupidly inferior.

I would add the Weatherby Vanguard to the mix. I do like the FNs as well.
