Best Handgun

A couple friends and I have been debating on what the best handgun ever made is. In Jow Forumss objective opinion, what is the best handgun?

Glock 29.

for CCW I'm a fan of the LC9.

The best handgun will be the one in the biggest caliber that you can shoot well.

1911 is obvious answer

HK Mk23

Colt woodsman

How much should someone spend on their first pistol?

I'm looking at a Beretta M9A1 and they're all pretty much around $700

Depends do you want a gun that will last forever
>M9
will last forever i would find a lgs with pricematch and save some cash tho
>have you ever shot guns before (how new are you)

Hipoint.

The Springfield XD/HS2000 is the best handgun ever

What is wrong with most of you. Best handgun needs to outlast even you to old age and has to get you there. Not a single revolver mentioned so far. But giving points to:
For simplicity, but again magazines may be an issue.
Anything 40 S&W is completely out. Why? guns wear down faster. Proven fact.

I'd say a P49 or P210

See
Your revolver will go out of time long before the Mk23 hiccups

Hrm, single stack. Okay, I can see it working.

>Single stack
Are you being retarded on purpose?

Yes. If leadership knows you are smarter than they are you are as good as dead.

Chiappa Rhino

this thread again, yay

Something with generations of tested reliability, that you can pass down to your descendants.

Seecamp LWS32.

Really? None of you faggots mentioned Browning Hi-Power up until now? You know, the pistol after which all the pistols now came from?

The High Power is essentially the Johnny Unitas of handguns. Sure he pretty much invented the modern passing game but no one is going to call him a legit contender for GOAT.

Glock 19 Gen 4 is the only real choice. Lightweight, compact, no thrills, proven track record, 15rds standard capacity. The only upgrade needed is the sights.

Sphinx 3000

The one you shoot well. Handguns like all guns are a very personal thing. Some people can't shoot a 1911 well so why should they use it if they are better at shooting and hitting with another firearm? The best is always the best your with.

Basically, the only guns that you can say are good are

>glocks
>hk
>beretta
>select 1911 manufacturers
>german sigs (no exeter)
>3rd gen smith semis
>ruger revolvers
>pre-lock smith revolvers
>old colts
>maybe maybe maybe CZ

These are guns you can get 300,000 rounds through (springs not withstanding), deliver good groups at 25 yards, and are generally reliable.

Everyone else is making guns that will survive the 2,000-5,000 rounds the average pistol that sits in the closet will find.

m&p 2.0 compact is better...

My dudes. I want a Walther PPQ M2. 4in or 5in barrel? Help. I need to order one today or I'm gonna pop, and I can't choose.

>what is the best handgun?

It really doesn't matter. It really doesn't.

Friend got a M1 with 4in barrel, feels pretty comfy. If you're not gonna carry it 5in would probably be more fun to shoot.

The best handgun is the one you're familiar with.

For me, that's a 92fs

4in barrel.

I should make a straw poll or something.

Good luck finding extra magazines

The FNS series imo

>Ambidextrous
>Polished steel mags
>Metal sights standard
>Front serrations standard
>Full pic rail

All of the above make it a better battle ready handgun than the Glock. Mainly the ambidextrous controls and steel mags. If you actually run failure drills you know why. I got tired of bashing the Glock on my leg while pressing the mag release with my index finger trying to reload one handed with my left hand during a jam. What a fucking joke. No more Glock dance for me.

Bigger IS better

I said fuck it and ordered the 5in without slide cuts from my LGS just now. YOLO.

Sei Unica

>tfw SIG fixed the safety from the 1935A but fucked up the mag release

The safety is a stiff sombitch though... and while I'd obviously prefer a thumb mag release you can actually get pretty quick with the P210's heel release - it's much quicker than my Ruger for example.

>not a single revolver mentioned so far
which is a goddamn travesty.

>DA/SA
S&W 686

>SA
Ruger Blackhawk

revolvers a best

>People still bickering over second place

I peraonaly think its the 1911

for me it's the colt single action army, the greatest handgun ever made

Probably the CZ75. Fits my hand like a glove and shoots like a dream.

Absolutely this. There are so many that will get the job done. The differences between them in any category are almost negligible

Ruger P series
