User paints his ar

Today I finally decided to paint my ar 15 after buying it a year ago

This is my ar before applying a primer coating.

Please be purple.

Just did my first couple mag. Didn't quite turned out like I wanted to.

Make sure to paint it as is, while loaded, leaving the safety on fire and the scope caps up. You'll get the best look that way.

I finished applying the primer coat. Removed the pistol grip though.

Now hang on a minute

You don’t know what you’re doing.

there is a rear sight tho

Look again dude

I removed my rear sight before painting.

First tan coating applied

>guys watch my ruin my perfectly good AR

no thanks nigger

It is the M&P2 because it has a dust cover.

so many things wrong with this, good thing it's a parts bin tier AR though and not something gucci

next time mount your red dot properly and use krylon camo instead of priming

Almost done

keep going op
nobody cares what type of rifle it is, I want to see the pattern

Looks good, but ive always wondered if the paint will be sticky when you grip it

huh, shot one of those not too long ago that looked exactly the same. I think the only difference was the one I shot had a brake on it. Is that you S?

Doesn't look half bad, keep it up OP. Not sure what the general argument of your red dot it, it looks fine to me. You mount it for comfort, and it's based off where the eye relief is in conjunction with your eyeball.

I have a strange desire to buy a WASR and paint it a loud, fuckugly color scheme like the Problem Solver from FO4.

Do it. I been debating on getting another AR, just to paint it yellow.

It's a non-magnified red dot; there is unlimited eye relief. Reasons for mounting it farther back would be to allow greater perceived sight aperture through the tube. Mounting it forward would allow better peripheral vision but a smaller perceived aperture.

I bought several old wood sets of furniture to do something horrific on my GAY K, but can't bring myself to paint the metal

The fuck? Was Ninja actually in that fuckin movie? lmaoing hard right now. Did he say any legible lines?

I like it so far.

Oh. Didn't they make those clear flip-up red dots for that reason?

Both him and yolandi are. They're literally playing themselves.

The entire movie was pretty much a Die antwoord cameo.

And it sucked.

Wow. Thats, actually kind of sad.

Fuck you!

Chappaie robot gangsta #1

It's better if you're shit faced. Parts of the movie is aesthetic as fuck. Hugh Jackman is a giant was dick.

I would like to paint my AR but I don't want for it to feel painted

This sick Aussie cunt.

It depends on the user as well for their own vision. Also dont be a bitch, shoot with both eyes open. Also also that's not true, any tube has an eye relief range, you are thinking of holos

Where the fuck is the final product OP?

Dude, Ninja and his woman fucked that movie up so bad the director, Blomkampf, just gave up abd walked away from it before finishing filming.

paint it Jazz Solo

Did OP died?

I don't think you understand what eye relief is. Eye relief "is the distance from the last surface of an eyepiece within which the user's eye can obtain the full viewing angle."
Basically, in magnified optics, there's a specific distance in which your eye can be from the ocular lens in order to have the full picture, any closer or farther and the image will be cut or not visible at all. This is due to distortion of light through convex/concave lenses.
Non-magnified optics don't have this problem because the lenses aren't convex/concave, and instead allow light to travel through undistorted. Your eye can be pressed against the ocular lens or several feet away, and the perceived image will be the same through the optic in both situations.
So in short, the "unlimited" spec under eye relief is not false: vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-strikefire-2-red-dot-with-red-green-dot-cantilever-mount

Also, it's irrelevant if both eyes are open or not, in regards to the placement of the optic. The closer it is to your eye, the more field of vision it takes up, which limits peripheral vision. The closer distance also causes your eyes to have a closer preferential focus spot. Ever have a speck of dirt on your glasses that made you keep wanting to focus on it? Same concept.

Are you the same faggot that fucked this poor saiga?

Yeah. I like it, what’s wrong with it?

>Someone buy this rifle before I ruin it duracoat
>Comes with an EOTECH, it's like getting a free rifle.
>Only $1300 for each
KYS

Now that the paint is fully cured here's the final product

And the mags

Attached: 20180531_094038.jpg (4032x1960, 2.4M)

Bretty good, user.

Not something I would personally do, but I can dig it. Good stuff OP.

To anybody looking to do something like this, don't paint over rubber. I forgot about the rubberized buttons on my optic and now they're sticky af. Good thing I didn't do my magpul grip. Also use painter's tape on parts you don't want painted.

Attached: 20180531_101405.jpg (4032x1960, 1.91M)

Not too shabby. I would have gone a bit lighter on that pattern and a bit harder on the color contrasts but by no means is this a terrible job.

Thanks, it's my first time doing it so I'm still on the learning curve.

I'm doing the windowed mags now

It's finally done.

What paint did you use?

Looks good my dude! Off the subject, I like that StrikeFire ii. I got mine a few months back and enjoy the hell out of it.

Post your painted boys

Literally main characters

I loved the look of that south african lbv. I actually thought of getting a backpack painted like this.

That's pretty slick, man. I've been tossing around doing something like this with mine.

I used rust-oleum but if you want a more robust and permanent result cerakote would probably better. Daddy thumb has a video on it.

I think it looks good here as is. That being said after seeing the next mesh stage, i think it could have benefitted from more dark brown on tan and tan in dark brown here. More contrast so the next layer blends more.

Cheap AR build + Rattle can = fun
