2nding. BCM is functional, but I don't always like mine. I keep going back to the AFG on my mk18. It's comfy to me, and I control the gun better.

I had a KAC VFG a million years ago on my first AR. I've thought about putting one on the mk18 to see if I like it better.

I could see that hinge breaking if you tried to. I wish whoever took the picture actually photographed the broken part. The hinge is on the other side.

I've done a lot of drills and gone prone with mine from standing and never felt like I was going to break it. Mine has also taken some tumbles while out shooting, but I've never worried about it snapping.

On the bright side, it can still fire in that state, and eptech is king of paralax free sighting, so you can shoot semi well without a stock. I've done It for fun with mine.

Story goes that a 5 foot drop on concrete (stock first, then optic) broke both the hinges and glass on an Eotech. I don't like EOtech but I've also never thought of them as particularly fragile. I wasn't there and it was years ago so I can't really vouch for it but it's not airsoft so you be the judge.

1st gen SCAR stocks also had an issue at the hinge but I don't think any of those ever got distributed outside testing platforms.

Yeah, I'm not taking it as gospel but given the relatively small number of ACR stocks in circulation, I'm not dismissing it either. Like I said, you be the judge. I've got an ACR stock for my SCAR that I'm not using and it seems plenty sturdy but I also haven't taken it out and thrown it down a hill attached to a loaded rifle.

It's strange that it broke from what they say it did. Regardless, it broke at the only point I'd expect to break on the stock. And if it can be broken, someone will find a way. Ask Giddy or any marine.

Mine has been sturdy, though. If it snaps one day, I can always get another.

Fair enough. I honestly find the EO tech breaking to be more sketchy than the stock. Especially as it was a secondary impact. Who knows though. All I can say is that I trust my Ugg boot more. Maybe I'm crazy.
