SAS.

Seals and only seals

T. Worked with pretty much all nato sf in rc-s

Don’t forget the other ground Navy people attached. Had Navy EOD think they were hot shit, but they couldn’t figure out what a recoilless rifle round was.

Really? which NATO SF units were pleasant suprises?

German one

Lativia, estonia, lotta the smaller countries, the Italians were p cool. All the other U.S. sf were nice dudes, Australian and brit sas were cool

Yeah they thought cause they had a nice budget they were special

INDONESIAN KOPPASUS is the BEST special operation in whole Asia. KOPPASUS is highly respected and feared by Amerikan DELTA, Aussie SASR, Russian Spetsnaz. Hell, even Israeli commando is fear to step even one feet on Indonesian soils. China, Singapore, Malayhsian, even Thai regards INDONESIAN KOPPASUS as master in jungle, snow, desert, urban combat. Even American general said ONE KOPPASUS operator is much much better than whole squadron iof SEALs.

Anything outside of USA UK Australia because they do fuck all

All of the European ones that haven’t seen a modicum of combat in years.

Some of the smalled country SF's have some experience in Afghanistan though its mostly recon

>rc-s
Where were you at? Kandahar? Also, did you work with any spooky JSOC guys?

Mexican SF are pretty active doing counter-insurgency, HVT hunting, and hostage rescue. Lots of pictures of them in active duty if you look online. Russians too, Syria and trouble regions like Dagestan keeps them active. That’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

Spetznaz

Not to say there aren't specific units compromised of nothing but the best of the best tier 1 dudes, but the bulk of the organization is more on the level of maybe the 75th Rangers. Except, instead of them all working within the same organizational structure in the field they're meant to be distributed out in small groups to expand the capability of the regular army.

They've got guys on every level of the "operator" spectrum, basically. From 75th grunts to Muhreen Scout-Snipers, SEALs, Delta, etc

>rc-s
Can you tell me more about that?

Spetznas isn't one organization you toddler. It's just a name for SFs. Just like we say commando, task force, task group, special task group, etc in the west.

>Spetznaz

Are you mocking the INDONESIA KOPPASUS? Shame on you. You don't realize the KOPPASUS in most experienced in combat better than your nation 'boy scout'. Indonesian KOPPASUS is much experienced that they don't need expensive and problematic Amerikan Stryker. Indonesian BTR-80 can take out any Strytker or even Abrams anywhere, any time.

My understanding of it is that SEALs are only as good as people make them out to be when they're in DEVGRU. Apart from that they're just tier 2.

marine force recon gets overhyped on occasion.

Not him but stands for (most likely) Regional Command South, which is a part of ISAF in Afghanistan. See "nato dot int/isaf/placemats_archive/2009-01-12-ISAF-Placemat dot pdf" for more.

Oh and Spetsnaz too. They're very good at killing but aren't amazing at basically everything else, especially rescuing hostages. Army ranger tier unit.

Yeah we worked with spooks a lot but never face to face. I was stationed at Kandahar but most swoopy missions were in helmand which was rc-sw by that time, also did some stuff with muhreen sf in rc-w.

Spetsnaz is not a unit you idiot.

How much direct action stuff do you think still goes down over there now that it's officially to a train, advise, and assist mission?

hehehe the one guy with the tactical handwarmer second from the front.

The Haqqani network is very active and a threat to the stability of the Afghan government. Now that ISIS is fading, prepare for them to be the next CNN meme terror group on the news.

It's only the swoopy guys that are doing any DA stuff and it's been that way for a few years niw

Cool. I'll check that out

They're clearly better trained and funded compared to the regular Taliban goatfarmer shits. How much of a connection does the Haqqani network still have to the Taliban at that this point? Do they operate pretty much independently? Also, how much of a relationship do they have with people embedded within ISI?

>Georgia and Austria
>1 guy

The “Taliban” exists as much as the mujhadeen does. Which is to say the name is taken up by people looking to leverage the branding, but it has little if any connection to what people in the US think of as the pre-2001 Afghan Taliban.

ISI is dirty as fuck. They want to fund certain terror groups and play them against other groups for their own ends. I can’t provide any connection between Haqqani and ISI, but I know enough that it’s impossible to wipe out it or a substitute group without taking on the ISI, and the US simply won’t do that.

typical edgy incel post

Yup. Why they send one guy? Who knows. The movie War Machine actually brings that up, which I found pretty funny. I wonder what the troop strengths for ISAF today are like. I assume at this point, USA are the only country putting more than a 1000 troops on the ground.

Sounds pogilicious

Delta.

I know that fuckface. I was speaking very broadly. Someone already said so before I posted.

Youre fucking retarded. It has nothing to do with that, it's geography. Why am i explaining this to a neverserved neet faggot

>Army ranger tier unit

You called Spetsnaz a unit. You are actually the fuckface who can’t read in this situation.

Don't the Spetnaz units vary a fuckton in quality though? Like I've heard the GRU ones are solid and well-trained but most of the regular army ones are basically the equivalent of the 82nd Airborne.

Most of Jow Forums is dude. I'm a non-served bitch too for now. I just like studying conflicts and learning about this shit.

No such unit, retard.

"Spetsnaz" is a generic term for any special purpose troops.

SEALs. Can't do sneaky operator shit when you have to be back for a book signing by noon.

I keep hearing how everyone loves working with the polish SF

this is true
SAS are almost like the navy seals now SBS is were it's at and the other unknown groups UK has

anything USA has produced

Kek and what country are you from guy

Those poolish g*om faggots.

from USA

youtube.com/watch?v=VZWruly6ZLg

Work with any canucks?

Probably some of the israeli units, considering that they are made up of conscripts

Yeah they Were cool

Work with Lithuanians?

>overrated memes
All of them to an extent. Thanks to then media everyone not in the loop seems to be under the impression that special forces are magical super soldiers immune to bullets and explosives and act shocked when one ends up dead somewhere.

true

>2k18
>still falling for the spetsnaz is a concrete organization meme
:(

All of them

You're right, but I dont think that makes them overrated in an objective sense, its just an indictment of how badly a generation of CoD players and airsofters can have their perceptions skewed on the risks of combat. It was pretty embarrassing seeing all the larpers talking about how they would have singlehandedly beat down that Niger ambush a few months back.

Yes also cool guys. The Georgians were hilarious, Aussie SAS were bros

>It was pretty embarrassing seeing all the larpers talking about how they would have singlehandedly beat down that Niger ambush a few months back.
Holy fuck, those threads were cringe-inducing to watch unfold.

38105106

I'm american and I know this is an outright lie. It's also 100% bait. I wont even give you your (you).

All of them.

>various air, sea and land dimensions
Jews can't compete.

>Implying anything after 2014 in the Stan isn't pogilicious.

I'll show you my salad bar if you show me yours, 'neverserved neet faggot'

All of them. Mostly Seals though.

Unironically all of them
In modern western military, your average infantryman is in no way inferior to "special" forces soldier.

Seriously, the only places where this designation still has any real value are countries like Russia or Africa - militaries where rank and file infantryman is conscript or underequipped retard.

Attached: 1508096245298.jpg (640x640, 36K)

Incorrect. I’m sorry you failed selection.

>Except, instead of them all working within the same organizational structure in the field they're meant to be distributed out in small groups to expand the capability of the regular army.
That's the problem. They get used as shock troops and fair no better than standard infantry and when Russian incompetence gets them cut off and surrounded they get wiped out like every other unit. They are more inclined to fight to the very last so the chechens don't get to have fun execution shenanigans compared to standard infantry though.

JTF2

Attached: 1506057691956.png (1104x1075, 311K)

Haha it's always funny to see some 3rd world dumbass think that just because they grew up eating dirt with a 2nd grade education that they are better than an American that grew up shooting in the woods.

Attached: 1483407926089.jpg (600x600, 65K)

Jtf2 is the bees knees bra wot u talking aboot?

they've literally done nothing since their creation

whichever special forces group you placed your pride in because you're a fatass who hasn't done anything with his life

Attached: 1527103173770.jpg (300x297, 31K)

All of them.

The SAS and SBS share the same selection course and almost identical training.

Attached: 1491303425776.jpg (625x353, 50K)

God what an awful movie

Probably done more than the rest of their military in the last seventeen years

SEALs, any other unit in USSOCOM (they're good at what they do, but they're not supermen)

Attached: SEAL Centurion.jpg (750x935, 135K)

no human is honestly, you gotta be smart for this work but nothing can prepare you for a bomb underfoot or a bullet to the face

Is this bait

Are they the guys with the Red Unit Taliban troops who are equiped with a formal uniform and NVGs?

Now which SOF unit is the most underrated?

Attached: 1498057900145.jpg (655x527, 59K)

Rangers, Green Berets, most small nations commandos/SOF equivalents of the aforementioned

INDONESIAN KOPPASUS

>but the bulk of the organization

Spetsnaz is not an organization, it's just a term.

You're a complete retard and neverseencombat faggot if you genuinely had no idea what RC South was.

dumb frogposter

Most of them are overrated.
Not to say what they do isn't badass, and that they aren't good at it. But when you look at operations on the grand scale, especially special operations, the operator is a pawn.

It's the intelligence gatherers, and mission planners that are overrated/underrated.

Think about the raid on Osama, right? You're talking about finding a man who's been MIA for 10 years, identified by surveillance, estimates, and honestly a whole lot of luck. None of that is done by the SEALs that went and in killed him.

Now, was that raid awesome, was it successful, did it require skilled operators to carry out? Yes, yes, and yes.

But ultimately, all they are is doorkickers.

Think at a more local level, right? A police department. Does SWAT roll around kicking random doors and magically spring up drug dens, weapon staches, terrorists, etc? No, detectives build the intelligence, identify whos who, and then they get the SWAT team to kick the door.

N....nnn.......nnnnn......NERD!!!!!!!!

all of them

Thats all objectively true, but what everyone else does is boring af so it doesn't matter how functionally vestigial DA work is because nobody wants to watch a movie about some faggot watching a drone feed for 20 hours straight or listening to Baghdad cell recordings for a living.

Now how does one acquire said intel gathering skills - so that they can play detective and operator. Short of spending half their life in LE/alphabet agency.
Asking for a friend.

>Unit 777
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_777#EgyptAir_Flight_648,_1985
>the TF 777 operators committed several mistakes that would eventually prove fatal to many of the hostages.
>As explosives were detonated to attempt to blow a hole on the top of the airframe, the explosion ripped through the cabin area, immediately killing 20 passengers.
>Using the same hole, the operators gained entry to the plane but in the confusion opened fire indiscriminately and killed and injured more passengers.
>In the ensuing chaos, passengers that managed to flee the plane were then gunned down by snipers in positions around the airport who mistook them for terrorists attempting to escape.
>The total number of passengers killed was 57, out of 88 total.
