I have a Judge with a 3" chamber.
It's a fun gun to shoot, what can I say?
High-velocity birdshot makes a nice little cloud of shot.
Buckshot packs a pretty good wallop.
And there are some pretty cool rounds for it, in addition to the .45 LC thumpers.

Mine is accurate with 45 LC. The PDX shells are also acceptably accurate. I have the public defender, and it conceals pretty well. I don't feel undergunned when I'm out.

I work at a gun store and can't get people to buy them.

Then again, I'm a brutally honest guy and sales isn't my primary trade so when people are asking about them for a city carry or HD rather than a woods gun, I tell them there's better guns for those purposes.

I had one. It was the first gun I had ever purchased. I traded it along with some cash for this.

I do kind of regret getting rid of it sometimes. It was kinda fun sometimes, but .45 LC is so spendy, and I traded it off before I got into reloading and didn’t know you could reload them for like 10 cents per round.

They have about half the muzzle energy of .45lc (which the gun will also fire) while having about the same perceived recoil, anything other than slugs (theres only 1 brand of non-3" slugs since the gun will only take 2.5" shells) will pattern like ass (we're talking "all 3 balls in 3-ball 000buck will miss a man-sized silhouette at 15 yards" bad) through it because it's rifled.

.45lc is simply far more lethal than any .410 load you could fire through one of these.

The wad will hold the shot together for a few feet, yes. But once the shot leaves the wad it will go fucking everywhere but straight.

My wife bought me a circuit judge in .44 a few years ago. She hide the whole purchase from me. It was a thoughtful and wonderful gift.
To this day I still haven't fired the damn thing. Doesn't stop it from being the one gun with the most meaning to it.

Wilkinson Arms model Linda, 9mm. Really fun to shoot and pretty accurate, albeit heavy. When I got it it wasn’t missing the rear sight, but luckily not long after I got it, the company went back into business so I got a rear sight from them.

I’ve been thinking of buying a barrel and stock and turning mine into a carbine.

I mentioned this in another thread but me and a buddy used to play a retarded version of paintball with Judges and birdshot at 10 yards. My Chinese paintball mask didn't even get scratched and my fake leather jacket didn't even get an impression in it.

Still hurts on bare skin, but you probably won't even get bleeding until 7 yards minimum.

Long barrel. The Judge has like 3" whereas your shotgun had at least 24".

Being a faggot and double posting but ammo also has a lot to do with it. .410 birdshot loses velocity rapidly after it separates and doesn't have much velocity to begin with. Combine that with the weight of each projectile and you have something as lethal as an airsoft gun past a certain distance.

Ranch, woods, and camp carry. Long barrel version takes snakes, squirrels, birds, fish, coons, and possums with birdshot through #4 buck, and can take deer with a proper 45lc load
