The overwhelming percentage of scenarios that guns get used in are target shooting. In that scenario, whatever gun the shooter prefers is the optimum choice for that shooter in that scenario. Now, if you’re going to spiel off a whole list of tactical applications, save your breath. Defensive shoots, of any nature, have one hard and fast rule- you shoot what you brung. You may not want to get into a gunfight when you only have a 5 shot .38 snubbie loaded with wadcutters in your boot, but that’s what you have so that’s what you use. It boils down to personal preference. If somebody wants to CC a Colt SAA, that’s their business. It’s what they prefer, so it’s the right gun for them. You are not the ultimate arbiter of practicality for every other shooter on the planet.
