Something about a lightweight barrel being short but still light and avoiding pistol territory with a nice looking 3 prong FH pinned makes my pee pee hard. idk dude. same with Geissele though. Uhhh what? 16 inch Gov profile barrels will usually have a 203 cut. usless yeah but that's extra weight outfront I don't care for. 14.5 is just a tad bit shorter and still mid length so it's cool. Gov is still thin under the handguard and there's no reason to not have the rest of the barrel thin aswell

Legally, since I'm in Australia, I can't actually advertise my guns for sale without also posting my licence number. But since I don't want to do that on a Chinese basket-weaving forum, instead I'm going to ask if any of you have any recommendations for the pricing of what I have so far, and then possibly post a link to a legally-compliant sales listing if anyone's interested.
I have five guns I'm thinking of offloading. The first is a BSA No.1 Mk.III* built for the Siamese Wild Tiger Corps in 1920. Bolt doesn't match. The second is a Mossberg 395KB bolt-action shotgun with 2-round box magazine, adjustable choke and gunsmith-tuned trigger. The third gun is a Savage Axis .223 rifle with a camo-patterned synthetic stock and scope rail. The fourth is an Uberti Silverboy .22LR lever-action rifle with scope rail. The fifth is a Benjamin Trail NP .177 air rifle with synthetic black stock.
Used kiwi shoe polish to the top of the action. Taped it off, then applied JB weld epoxy to the mount an let it set on the receiver. Then removed excess and shoe polish and torqued to manual specs.
I also have the boxes for both the rifle and scope.
Unless you are planning on selling to someone else in Australia, go for it, but do you have any idea the restrictions there are for selling guns internationally? And if you try to just ship one under the radar, do you have any idea the penalties? Fucking dumbfuck.

Scope mounts are not perfectly fitting to the gun. Therefore by epoxy bedding the scope mount and filling the machining tolerances which leave behind gaps you therefore are getting a more perfect fit of the mount to the receiver. The mounts are generic for the specific gun model but not the specific gun. That means that the tolerances such as gaps beneath the base of the mount and the receiver can vary. That variance can affect the overall accuracy and ability to create repeat accuracy when using the rifle.
By getting a more perfect fit you are taking the "slop" left from the tolerances out of the equation and thus increasing the potential for accuracy out of the rifle.

The same concept is done to rifles via "glass bedding" or "epoxy" bedding the rifles action to the specific stock.
By fitting that specific guns action to the specific stock the fit is tighter and thus removes the variance left behind in the form of tolerance of creating two manufactured parts that will fit together but were not made together.
As this photo shows, when you bed the action into the stock you get the stock and action "married" to one another. By doing so, the small slight movements of the action within the stock through say pulling the trigger are removed. These little things such as epoxy bedding the stock and mount are why you pay X% more for a Accuracy International over that of say a Ruger American.
