Mosin
I personally prefer the Kar 98k
This
Better than any nazishit. Cheaper, more precise, better ergonomics, better sights and overall better.
Lee Enfield No. 4 Mk. I
the winner one
Mosin
All of them.
K31 because it's the only bolt action I own and shoot.
If we're talking the WW2 era, a K31.
If we're talking fought in the war, I'll take the No 1 Mk III* for being a little prettier than the No 4.
The Type 38 Arisaka
If it's good enough for my little potato...
Lee Enfield is objectively the best bolt action used by the warring nations during both world wars, except for arguably the Ross
>continental powers collectively too retared to curve the bolt handle because who needs fast sight recover; ruskies still couldn’t figure it out with their shitsticks ater the first one
>superior capacity
>superior fire rate due to the travel path of the bolt being more parabolic instead of sharp up-back movement
>more powerful extraction than in all the other combatants’ rifles, works reliably with faulty ammo
Swedish Mauser in 6.5mm
Seconded. The action is so smooth and the recoil is mild. I could shoot it all day where as Im done after about 100 rounds with the K98 or mosin.
Reply to self
Only taking the ones actually used in the war into account, otherwise the Swiss guns are hard to top
either 1903a3 or the 1917.
VZ24 smooth af
I stole a [SA] marked one for $200
there's a reason to have a straight bolt handle. you get significantly better leverage, meaning the bolt is both easier to open and it allows you to beat the bolt open more easily if you get a stuck case, which with wwi and wwii metallurgy was pretty common
curved bolt handle is better for not getting snagged on shit, hence why carbines had curved handles usually while the main infantry rifles had straight handles
also,
>more powerful extraction
>in a lee enfield
that's just blatantly wrong
One that I can use most easily left handed
That's all of them. None are hard to use left handed.
>Posts an airshit K98k
The absolute state of Jow Forums. This summer is going to be hot.
You are all wrong.
Best Mauser coming through
>Cheaper
Yes
>more precise
Fucking what? None of these guns are match accurate but especially not Mosins.
>better ergonomics
Have you handled guns in your life?
>better sights
V-Notch vs U-Notch, hmm
>overall better
Worse feed mechanism prone to rim jams, worse manual safety, worse bolt by a country mile, shitty bolt design
can't believe nobody has posted the best yet
MAS-36.
The latest development in bolt-action.
Super reliable and durable too, shot a very good round.
Type 99 Arisaka
Ppu isn't too bad, although it feels a little underpowered. I haven't chronoed mine, but I read online around 2000ft/lbs.
Springfield M1903A4
What ammo should be used? Where can I find more information on what ammo can be used?
Mauser Karabiner 98. These things kick like a mule, but are pretty damn fun to shoot.
>The latest development in bolt-action
While I otherwise agree with you, that's not quite true.
Best bolt gun, but only if it's finnish
Your little potato is a nigger
A garand with the gas plug removed
Type 38 or Finnish M39, hard to pick just one.
a choice is simple
carcano
I'm really, REALLY liking the Mas 36.
Why is it so fucking good? How is this so overlooked when it absolutely shits on the competition?
Damn, I paid 600$ for mine.
It really is great, just overlooked because "muh dropped" memes, at least in my experience.
Springfield 1903 boyo, so good we used it from WWI to Vietnam.
t. from Springfield, Massachusetts. Georgia Washington personal visit founding the armory best year of my life, Nixon killing it worst.
fixed bayonets are full retard
>gee hanging this steel spring off the end of the barrel sure fucks up the harmonics
>so lets just hang this shit on there 100% of the time and preclude anyone from actually doing something useful with the bayonet, like, you know, using it as a knife or tool.
The bayonet gets my rocks off
I own both and I like my mosin more than my 98k, but absolutely none of that is true
I like the M38 carbine, actually. Good for close in stuff, easy to manufacture (compared to other bolt guns at the time), and the ergonomics are decent.
Though, not as much as a Mauser, but it makes a good compromise in a pinch.
This configuration is historically impossible
Because it's French and for whatever reason French guns never enjoyed much popularity here in America.
>prone to rim jams
you're a retard. Mosin is designed with an interrupter that makes rimlock impossible. But the rest of your post is accurate
Holy fuck I'm jealous, post pics. Is it an early 1920s receiver? From what I read all the finns are
>for whatever reason French guns never enjoyed much popularity here in America
"Never fired, dropped once" memes. They and America were best bros for the whole history of the US until for some reason in the last 50 years 'Muricans decide to end friendship with France, England is our best friend now. See "Freedom Fries."
Also France does has always done weird shit with their guns that makes them interesting to collectors but tends to put off the average fudd. Said MAS-36, for example, has the weirdly turned bolt handle and completely lacks a safety.
The stripper clips are a different story, if they are loaded incorrectly because of the rims. Other than that, you're spot on.
Didn't mean that last sentence to mock you, sorry. I just suck at making sentences up on the fly.
"Nobody copies the French and the French copy nobody"
1920 Carl. Sometimes Cabelas doesn't know what they have in the racks.
Suprised it took this long to get the correct answer.
All y'all niggers are wrong
Got one of those too, only have 10 clips for it. :(
>tfw you only have 2
At least one is Nazi marked
All the benefits of a Mauser, not made by dirty Nazis or commies!
Charles degaulle ruined the bromance when he cozied up to the soviets and the French intel community became a sieve for western secrets.
M1917 enfield.
Not really from 1917
Not really an enfield
>falling for that bait
>HK
Yo yo niggas. I'm not sure what it means though, I think it's the initials of the quality inspector, who could he be though?
>airsoft
You better own real guns newfag
I don't like Mosins much at all, but I will give them having better sights. Barleycorn front sights fucking suck.
Czech Mauser with a straight bolt handle then?
m.youtube.com
No one posts best rifle. Shame
>WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS HAMMER FIRED SHIT NIGGA IT'S NOT EVEN EIGHTEEN-TWENTY-FIVE YOU MONGOLICIOUS RETREAD
HK denotes it was part of the Coastal Artillery at Hemsö Fortress. Mine is a 1916 Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori produced rifle.
Nice, got mine for $225 after Hurricane Harvey.
Breah that's not a hammer that's a thumb catch on the striker
From cabelas of all places!!! jesus christ! I payed some dude out of his garage 600 for my SA stamped. I don't regret it, good money spent.
>HK denotes it was part of the Coastal Artillery at Hemsö Fortress.
Interesting, sauce?
Mosin, because I have a 1942 tula.
Well. Seeing all US ally are vassals, you can't really blame him for maintaining independance between the 2 blocks. France still considered itself a great power and couldn't suffer to not be an equal in a relationship (plus CIA doing shady things during Algerian war of independance didn't help)
No. 4 Mk. 1 (T), because proper windage adjustments in the optic and the rebedding process give me a woody.
This x1000. It’s ugly, but it’s by far the best bolt action of ww2, lee enfield coming in close second
Taking my No4 and m/38 to the range today, gonna be comfy.
