So many S-400 sales everywhere. US threatens Turkey and India with sanctions, Saudi Arabia threatens Qatar for the possible purchase all in one week news.
2015 stated they will get 10 S-500 battalions and now that has been reduced to 5 S-500 battalions. So will the production of S-500s increase back again if all these profits that Almaz Antey makes were successful?
I'm not saying S-400 is shit but it's not even combat-proven, why do they buy it?
Kayden Barnes
it totally failed in Syria
>inb4 "it wasn't turned on"
Jayden Edwards
SAM defenses are always going to be relegated to being the second-tier option for countries that can't afford to have a competitive air force. SAM networks do an ok job, but they'll always be behind the curve in the arms race with counter-SAM technology. In a couple decades all the most powerful airforces (aka America plus NATO allies) will have stealth strike aircraft. SAM networks will be knocked out on day 1 of any conflict.
Colton Stewart
>and now that has been reduced to 5 S-500 battalions. False, it is still 10, they're just stating that five will be in service before 2020. It's a readiness statement, not an allocation or purchasing statement.
Also S-500 Triumph is a stopgap system, so they won't buy a lot of it. It's also entering service with a 600km range missile, and will be getting a midlife upgrade with a 1500km range missile, so the 10 planned batteries are more than enough to cover Russia.
The 21st century system of IADS that Russia is developing is going to be air and space borne. The missile carriers will be based on TELAR and the radar sensors will be based on A-50U and Liana satellite system.
This will give Russia global sensor coverage, and the sensors will be able to instantly command thousands of launched missiles. This means there will be no more need for a radar truck in a brigade, it will be full of just missile trucks.
How did it fail? It can't fire on American or Jew jets, but it used its sensors to help Syrians localize a fucktonne of cruise missiles and bombers.
Even though Russia won't fire it at them, the Jews are so scared of S-400 that they're unwilling to enter Syrian airspace. They just climb to altitude in Israeli airspace, then air drop a glide bomb or missile.
Julian Baker
nobody flies near it without asking politely s300 too
Juan Martin
the s500 is to be used against satellites and icbms for the rest are the 300 and 400, which have their lesser shields in medium to short ranged sams and then there are fighter jets as well
Christopher Baker
That's political,not technical. We've been over this.
Jeremiah Kelly
Its cheaper than an actually capable air force and the public won't really know the difference.
Elijah Jenkins
Interestingly enough, 2 years ago Putin offered Netanyahu S-400's and he turned it down in favor of the arrow-3.
Brody Flores
A lot of high tech long range SAM systems isnt.
Anthony Clark
As a truck driver, all I can I see when I see Russian heavy carriers,
it must be a bitch to drive/reverse. those blind zones You'd need a spotter.
Eli Ortiz
please read more about passive sensor systems on how they discriminate aerial targets, And read more about the voronezh radars giving information to their SAM systems. They have enough missiles to waste an entire air force without question and are already can target an air force before an air force can even conduct a SEAD operation without getting whacked 1000s of kilometers away because of their new ground radar installations.
The concern is that a single one of these systems are said to track and intercept 10 ICBMs simultaneously. This is not counting how many the A-235 system can handle using ground radars. The question that concerns me is how many S-500s will back the A-235 and if their defense company will make huge profits from sales. And why exactly these sales have happened because their was a military expo featuring the s-400 a week ago and maybe thats why we are all hearing about s-400 sales.
Dylan Kelly
>voronezh radars Those are ballistic early warning radars, not search and track radars. They don't do much of anything except look for rockets. They're not connected to front line SAMs.
Jaxson Peterson
>1000s of kilometers away because of their new ground radar installations. And your ground system is going to pick up those targets 1000s of kilometers away then?
John Brooks
>I thought Qatar bought a bunch of Patriots Hah! Patriots are fucking junk tho.
Qatar is buying S-400 and now Saudiniggers are saying they will attack Qatar if they do. LMAO.
not search and track radars....Voronezh-SM works in the X-band fire control frequency in Crimea for better coverage of Europe's air space. And share datalink information with SAMs
>And your ground system is going to pick up those targets 1000s of kilometers away then?
They do say they can see a flying soccer ball several thousand kilometers away.
Jason Reed
>Selling your good stuff to Arabs
Hope you're ready to see lots of photos of destroyed S-400 systems. The Pantsir was only the beginning.
Ryder Brown
>Hope you're ready to see lots of photos of destroyed S-400 systems.
Like the israelis shitting themselves over a s-300pmu2 covering their airspace. What about muhhh F-35s?
>The Pantsir was only the beginning.
Not even turned on.
Leo Wilson
What the fuck even is this post? What does the F-35 have to do with anything?
>It wasn't even turned on That's the point, you goof. Israel could've wrecked their shit with old-ass F4s if they wanted to.
Daniel Morris
Sauce?
Jayden Morales
Russia has no fuel for fighter jets or missiles.
Parker Gray
>Not even turned on.
They moved it into stowed position afterwards to save face.
Xavier Peterson
they moved the destroyed wreckage into a stowed position after it had been destroyed?
Dominic Lewis
They are also starving because of sanctions and will be forced to have a revolution and overthrow putler
Christian Lewis
Yes, thats not a difficult task by any means.
Anthony Barnes
The video shows that it was exploded while it was stowed
Oliver Thompson
>It can't fire on American or Jew jets, but it used its sensors to help Syrians localize a fucktonne of cruise missiles and bombers. LMAO.
>We've been over this. Indeed we have and beyond made up nonsense which is completely besides the point anyway like "it can't fire on jew jets", you got nothing.
At least you or your coworkers stopped claiming that there aren't any S-400s in Syria, so we're making some progress at least.
That's the very reason Russians brought S-400 there, dumbass. The Turkish pilots are not in prison, also.
Samuel Cox
>are now in prison Fix.
Jose Scott
Good example of a mutt you posted here, vatnik.
Henry Ward
>this is what vatniks actually believe they already had SAMs before their SU was downed, fucking dumbass. >The Turkish pilots are now in prison, also.
yeah sure. it was one evil turk who just wanted to shoot down the russian. he wasn't under command, he just flew and kill the Sukhoi. and turkish president said "we're sorry" right after the incident. oh no, wait, he didn't, he said it after two years.
Jeremiah Jackson
>Fatnik seething What SAMs, imbecile? They deployed S-300 and S-400 there specifically as a response to the shootdown, imbecile. >I-it doesn't count Imbecile.
Jaxon Sanders
where was s-400 when USAF killed russians in the eastern Syria
arrow-3 is a stationary SAM using ground radars basically a A-135 system.
Grayson Morris
>What the fuck even is this post? What does the F-35 have to do with anything?
That these aircrafts can get wrecked if they are worried about syria getting a pmu2
Luis Brown
nice opinion what sauce cnn
where was s-400 when USAF killed russians in the eastern Syria
Your making up shit at this point. They contacted the russians again prior to their strikes.
Sebastian Bailey
>USAF killed russians in the eastern Syria Those 3.5 mercenaries not related to Russian military?
Lucas White
>Falling for a talking sock from youtube
Lucas Nguyen
>They do say they can see a flying soccer ball several thousand kilometers away. Oh it's you.
They're not datalinking anything with anybody because it's not in service.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voronezh_radar You should read your own source. It's capable of tracking things the size of a soccer ball that are thousands of miles above the planet, not down low. The one you claim that can do all these things isn't even being built, if at all.
Asher Foster
Spiegel reporters were in dier ezzor before the local tribes loyal to the regime attempted something, i have no idea what there were 5 mercenaries from Russia in one of those groups that died I personally, would not waste a single shell from a shilka if i was in command of the russian anti air assets in syria to cover anyone who ventures on his own if there were 300 russians, or 200 russians in a column attacking an american position, it wouldnt end up with 200 dead russians only (not a single picture or a video or a names of the russians that were killed). Blackjacks would have been on their way and the world would never be the same. I saw the ukrainian fan fiction of a screenshot of a post on social media, and people getting caught in Russia trying to put up fake obituaries. I like to spin false information on Jow Forums as well, but i myself would never let it become truth to me.
what gave it away is that there is no fire on Mars
Cooper Stewart
The pilot was arrested because he was part of the military coup dumbass. Nothing to do with the incident. He was likely executed.
Evan Howard
Dont forget the kurds getting their hands on an Igla and the video of its proper use in Turkey on a Turkish Cobra helicopter. Besides, the Turkmen paid the ultimate price with he revenge bombing with cluster bombs and some sticky burning liquid, so did the Turkish oil convoy on its way to Turkey from Syria. I forgot what were they claiming to transport in that convoy, bread or medicine.
Dominic Flores
Thats just what the king roach said after visiting the midget
Adrian Long
It's kinda funny how just about everyone ever who hasn't been kissing the goatfucker's ass has turned out to be part of that coup, thousands upon thousands of them without even being part of the military.
