I love it. Everything feels real solid and high quality. The trigger is not as bad as everyone has said, and the rifle feels very ergonomic. I haven’t been able to shoot it yet and I will report about that either later today or tomorrow.
I was a little worried about the color before it got here, but it’s a nice crisp coyote brown/FDE

Kind of jelly. I want an AUG pretty fucking badly. But I'm a broke grad student right now so I only have "non exotic" guns right now (ARs, AKs, a Mini, Mosin etc.).
Once I finish up and get back into my career, and hopefully if the super vocal antis haven't moved the Overton window away from us, I'll be able to grab one.

How you did depends on how much you paid for it and what your reason for buying it was. If you just wanted an AUG because you like them, I think you did great. If you're one of those fags that desperately wants a MSR other than an AR but can't clearly articulate why, I think you're a retard.

I just slapped a strip of velcro where the brass tends to smack. It's a cheap solution but it works. Without any protection, casings will definitely damage the stock. Found that out my first time shooting it.

The commemorative STG77 guns kind of have a sour reputation because it seems like Steyr just slapped them together without much care to make them 100% out of the box. Don't let those specific rifles warp your perception of all AUGs, they're fantastic rifles and the normal old A3s and A3M1s are phenominal rifles.

The Corvus one is nice but expensive. If you're wanting to spend money they're great, if you're not wanting to spend money a simple piece of Velcro is all you need.

They shoot great. They're easily the most accurate bullpup of all of the big bullpups on the market. The trigger isn't as bad as they're made out to be, they're heavy but crisp. They're very nice rifles.

The most striking thing about shooting my AUG is how controllable it is, even for a 5.56. Between the great balance of the bullpup design and the close proximity of the vertical foregrip to the primary grip, it's very easy to keep on target. As in I feel virtually no recoil and see almost no recoil represented through my optic when I shoot it. The recoil impulse is quite direct as well. If I'm not thinking about it, I don't really notice it's happening at all. The internals are also quiet for lack of a better term. It doesn't have that hollow spring sound you get with ARs and AKs.
I've never experienced any accuracy issues, even with the shittiest ammo available. I consider myself a mediocre shot and I can easily get 3" groups at 100 yards with Wolf steel cased .223 with a non magnified red dot. A better shooter with better ammo would make it a laser I'm sure.

I have an AUG a3 m1 in white. The sling is difficult to use on the left side, I had to switch it to the right side else it interferes with the charging handle. Did not take long to get used to sling on the right.

It's always available, just more expensive than a lot of other calibers. 9mm and 5.56mm will spoil you. I am leaning towards getting a 1.5x ACOG for it.

It was about 1300. They used to be cheaper a few years back, but they are more scarce now.
The Academy near me always has American Eagle 5.7 in stock. SGAmmo is good for some of the FN branded stuff.

The one I was looking at they were selling for 1900 which I’m sure included the price of the optic (I think it’s like 300), but they said they could negotiate the price if I was interested cause I just bought a silencer from them.
The PS90 is definitely a gun I’m gonna get in the future. It felt really ergonomic to hold

The rail system is completely modular. I could replace it with a short low rail, a high rail, or one of the factory optics. The optics themselves raise the price of the AUG to 2k minimum

It's a fun, fast laser gun that was controllable out to like 50yds for a scrub like me. Controls were surprisingly comfy and it had literally no kick.
It didn't have the smoothness of a full retard MP5 but I still liked it a lot.

I got the tactical. I'll be putting in a steel guide rod, 11lb recoil spring, 13lb main spring, a competition hammer (not sure if i should get a fat width or standard), extended firing pin w/ reduced power spring, and some VZ grips. Already put on a shadow 2 mag release which i recommend highly.

Babby’s first ak. $650. Was gonna get a wasr and still will but CA said they’re not importing more yugos so figured I’ll get this now. Spent $25 on Balkan War handguards, $5 on a retaining plate and $16 on a new recoil spring. Also grabbed 1000 rounds of golden tiger for $199. I do okay ?

No, the rail on the A3 is different than the swappable rail on the A3M1.

The A3 has a fixed longer rail that is attached to the receiver, the A3M1's rail is removable and replaceable with other models of rail.

There is barely any carbon on the internals, and even then, it’s all easy to wipe down. I could get used to this
