Is this true? Any fl/ga anons know of such a law?

Is this true? Any fl/ga anons know of such a law?

Dude seems super nice & educated but I need to know for sure before I do something illegal because I trusted word of mouth

If it's face to face you're good. Don't ship a gun to some dude who doesn't have an ffl or you'll be sodomized first by the Treasury department then by Tyrone in prison

Wait just actually read it. Disregard my post. Don't take advice from drunken internet strangers

Yea it's face to face, but I've always understood the private sale law to only apply to residents of your state. Do florida & georgia have a special partnership/exemption for this sorta thing?
K

Op, all interstate transfers need to be done via FFL.

Don’t commit a felony.

To the best of my knowledge, it is a felony to sell a rifle to somebody who is not a resident of your state without an FFL transfer

DUDE USE AN FFL FOR THIS
USE A FUCKING FFL
USE A FUCKING FFL
It is an interstate transfer, the ATF/FBI can in theory RAPE YOUR BUTTHOLE if you do this without doing an FFL transfer

K I wonder if this dude is like a sting or something lmao. I mean it is an 80 yo gun but still

He seems happy to use an FFL so just do that as a CYA measure. Why wouldn't you?

What about gifting to a family member in another state?

Irrelevant. Still needs ffl

Fug

I have met face to face and bought and sold guns with guys in Georgia (as a florida resident) many times and it was fine.

Legally you should do it through an FFL and pay the transfer fee. Legally you should also go the speed limit and not have a full auto sear buried behind Publix either.. but I digress

There are a number of reasons for not using an ffl the number 1 being because I can. Georgia does not require ffl's on private transfers pistol or long grun.

Interstate transfers aren’t legal, you both either have to be residents of FL or GA.

>t. Former GA boy also go Dawgs

To be fair, it’s not very likely that anyone from the gubment would even know about interfamilial interstate transfers.

Just keep your cockholsters shut about it.

No, you must transfer interstate sales through an FFL.
Federally, you can ship the gun to people in your state, but why though?

>it’s not very likely that anyone from the gubment would even know about interstate transfers.
Fixed that for you. You'd have to be incredibly unlucky to get caught doing this and there's actually quite a few ways to explain yourself out of it.

>C..can I get away with it though??
Not if you need your hand held from 4chinks.

>why though?
Because some people would rather ship it and be done with it then drive an 8 hour round trip.
I'm about to ship my AK to a builder over the cascades because I don't feel like driving 4-5 hours to this po-dunk shop in some po-dunk town just to turn right back around and drive another 4-5 hours home.

>Because some people would rather ship it and be done with it then drive an 8 hour round trip.
Sure there's valid reasons to do it, but it's still pretty uncommon. I'm going to assume the builder has an FFL so it's a moot point there anyway.
