im cf reserve navy and permanently angery. ama

Attached: delete that virus.png (231x254, 89K)

why are you angry

What kind of music do you most often see guys listening to at boot? I listen to stuff like death grips and want to know if I can expect to meet any /mu/tants

Attached: 1526185715169.jpg (939x891, 174K)

Currently in hm a school, is there any realistic possibility for me to end up staying on land, deployed or not for my entire 5 year contract, or am I gurenteed to be stationed on a ship at some point (atleast if i'm not with the marines)?

why would you get an opportunity to listen to any music at boot except for maybe a random song or two provided by DIs to troll you?

Talmudic chanting

All tech-oriented hobbyists and tradesmen are obsessed with seemingly random bogeymen, and this obsession stands in the way of normal work. As well, most if not all tradesmen in tech-oriented fields are obsessed with enemies and objectives that are obviously secondary to the objectives of the field, e.g. gamers are obsessed with gamergate, sysadmins and ISAs are obsessed with seemingly random specific users, etc

To jump many steps and many years of experience, the only solution I see left is for tech tradesmen and tech hobbyists to be sniped, assaulted, gassed, and bombed.

>But user, are you not one yourself!?
I would rather die in a firefight after assaulting a software studio or engineering design house than in a firefight with ISIS or some far left or right terror group.

if the bible says that the last enemy of man to be destroyed is evil itself, the last enemy in the way of security, productivity, and culture, is the user themselves

>having music at boot
no

Attached: Tired.png (43x16, 429)

It is possible yes.

Music at boot? Get fucking real.

Only time i heard music was anytime we were taking a bus to some training ground or back to the barracks because of bad weather. First song i heard was katy perry hot and cold or whatever its called.

Realistic ya, but why do you care about being on a ship, you havnt even been on one yet.

6'9" and 240

Thank you for neverserving.

Thanks
I mean it doesn't seem so bad, it's just that shore duty seems a lot more appealing to me and i'd rather focus on doing my job instead of needing to balance it with all of the special stuff that being on a ship requires you to know/do. Doubt that I need to worry as much about damage control on land as I would on a ship, so in my eyes that just means I get more of an oportunity to focus on my responsibilties as an hm and learn more about the rate and its specialties.

i have lv ii

Went through MEPS and did the security interview (TS) for army a few weeks ago. I forgot to mention a medical debt that went to collections back in January. It's in good standings and I have a payment plan in order, but what do I need to do? Bring it up to recruiter? Or just keep mouth shut about it?

do you have anything else important going on? if not go active.

Just shut up. You forgot. Bring it up if you wish

Is this a real post?

in canada all basic is the same, or at least was until like 2017

musician in canada is something that requires both a degree in music AND an audition that is generally about as hard as a major city's or major university's orchestra.

if it requires any less in the US, I will lose respect for the US and will encourage my juniors to not respect the US.

How bad of an idea would it be to ask my commander in a few days to process my discharge slowly ? I've got a few grand saved and put aside however I don't know how long I'll be out of work. Would I come off as a scumbag for requesting to stick around for 3 - 5 months because of my financial situation ?

If you have 60 days of leave, use it now, lol. Otherwise, no fucking way. Maybe if he's a typical corrupt officer and you're a girl with a tiny waist and a big rack.

>I want to quit my job. But like can I still get paid???
This is what you sound like

The same to you, yankee. You'll be met with a rifle behind every blade of grass. At least in Quebec. Ontario might be cooperative, but even the anglophones further east will try to strike you down like the dogs you are. I advise you stay away, and keep your dumbshit liberals on a tight leash. Physical violence is one thing, but no one likes cultural warfare. We did have actual real terrorism over it recently, you know.

At BMT (or whatever basic training you get sent to) you can volunteer for the band flight and you basically spend a good chunk of your time practicing instruments and military songs. Sometimes when there's a special event going on off base the band flight gets to do a performance there. You also get to play for the graduation events.

At least, that's how the air force does it. I'd imagine it's the same for everyone else.

>This angers the canuck

I want to join the navy and be deployed for long amounts of time preferably with little time stateside. I plan on being an MA but I fear I won't get enough opportunity to be at sea or deployed in a foreign country

The only thing that exists between Canada and the United States is hatred.

Prime Minister Trudeau has joined the enemy, and must be recognized as such. Sink the enemy fleet with him.

Enjoy getting fucked over by Trudeau.

boatswain's mate performs some of the duties of the ma but it's more boat focused

I would sooner take the bridge of a Halifax or Dewolf or MCDV than take direct orders from such a fraud; Trudeau is not a Quebecois family. To "Just Watch" is before my time, but I can't help but say that the time to just watch is soon to come.

Even as a member of the Forces, a federal organization, I can't help but say that any support I've ever received hasn't been from fellow city or provincial dwellers, not federal agents. To vote to leave in a referendum would be suicide, but if a violent revolution cropped up I'd rather be struck down as a loyal and happy puppy of the quebecois seigneur than to live on as a tired dog of the ontarian shogunate

You can't just extend your contract?

youtube.com/watch?v=7TEc1SfBaYA

I've met yeomen and COs that cool; the type of person to play an anti-war song in the office in the middle of a battle.

I've honestly grown incredibly bitter in my short time in the forces. I wish I were less bitter, and could help new people, as well as be more useful to those plodding along above me. But I've grown so bitter and angry. I hate my job. It's the easiest I could have, to be just in comms, but I've heard that even my department as a whole is being overhauled and upturned in response to poor morale.

I personally just want to be happy, but I'd love it if everyone around me were happy too. I'm very tired of spending so much time upset, both professionally and personally. I can't imagine I'm unique or that retention in general has been very good either.

What would be best to make the comms nerds a bit happier? I'd like to be happier, but I don't care so much about myself, but it's sad to not have juniors below me since they're all remustering, nor superiors since they're all leaving for other jobs.

Attached: pink cat nyaou headphones.jpg (800x800, 581K)

you're that fucking guy who posts furry and other such shit while constantly bitching about your life in the military and in general arentcha? the canadian? if so, fuck off everyone tried to help you before
also that spacing

BM stands for Bitch Mate. Don't do it. There's enough SEAL rejects doing it that you shouldn't even bother.
MA's must spend half there career either at the gate or ambushing people "speeding" 3 mph over the limit on base. Also, time spent at sea depends on the ship. You go where the ship goes. There's a billion rates that go on ship so choose something better than MA or fucking BM.

Well, at best you can take it that even in such a polite land as Canada that the ABSOLUTE STATE of mental health isn't great. Even with a full time job and a real contract with a ship on the horizon, I don't feel happy.

Attached: mental health continuum.jpg (847x960, 92K)

there was once an entire thread of people genuinely trying to help you and you just shot everyone down and kept griping. You've griped for tens of threads easy now. You don't care about help as far as I can tell so fuck off with your moping and shitty pictures.

Exactly.

There are people beyond yourself. Take your juniors and try to show them that things can be better, and encourage them to try to get the resources they need to make things better.

As OS, AB, LS, you don't have a lot, but at least in the CF you make up the vast bulk of the operators. Even among managerial roles that are the advisors to the acting subbies, enough voices saying something as simple as "We're out of pencils." can become quite loud and make the proper CDS take action. Let alone something like "We can't do our QL4 at an NRD" or "We'd love to talk with the Army and Air but need radio licenses" or "We have lots of small boat stuff, but NATO has forgotten about us and our needs for brevity words" or whatever.

>consider [A KSG]

no retard

wtf yes how else do you listen to metal while shooting targets

>Keep bouncing to different recruiters
Unfortunately it is a secret government policy to recruit only women for anything other than land-mine kicker because the ADF has some weird obsession with bringing the poz to the military. Might have something to do with us having an obese bull-dyke as MoD. There was a major bollocking of the defence force in a senate inquiry the other day over this bs, but do you think I could find an article on that to show youse that isn't behind 47 paywalls? God no. Can't have the gentiles knowing.

>I have heard nothing but bad things about this
I've heard a combination of different things. People I know who've been in the navy and the subs in particular either love it or hate it. Those who love it tend to be weird nerds like me who just enjoy being basically on a space ship and don't mind being far away from anyone and everyone ashore. Those who hate it tend to be normies whose missus cucks them while they're at sea. I can't really be fucked going into the surface fleet since its just stopping brown cunts from coming into the country... by intercepting them and bringing them into the country.

My other preference was for chairforce intel but that is just 100% thot city. Beyond that its army officer with a corp preference for intell or armoured, but they changed up the enlistnment procedure so they just "consider" you for your corp selection (read: make sure that all the good jobs go to our #bravegirls)

>the west
>ever

On my shuttle to MEPS, I met this degenerate thot. She wouldn't shut up about her boyfriend, her country music, her high school life, and whatever else entered her head all while flirting with whatever guy would giver her the time of day. 5'0 mexican dwarf who is joining the Air Force. Is she going to get slammed, or will she just be able to continue to act like an entitled bitch?

well im actually in and you better not go sub; theres no parking and youre going to get cucked if you have a gf

surface fleet just mostly does whatever. its still the military so getting a non military gf is a terrible idea but at least not as terrible as going submariner

i have never met anyone happy with their relationship who WASNT dating someone military at the same base or at least coast theyre on

Attached: raptorbeer.png (750x1090, 448K)

The only reason to not go sub is that the Navy is literally a willful prison sentence. Outside of neich fields like sub you're better off in literally any branch. Even the Coast Guard will be more fulfilling and useful the the United States.

how big are her teddies

are national guard members exempt from the NFA? i know that police are in some states but i couldn't find anything one way or another for the NG.

No. Some states let you have auto knives tho.

Y-you're a big guy..

Smol. I thought she was unattractive, but she certainly acted like a Stacey. I think poor rural towns in heavily Hispanic areas have low standards.

I live in Australia tho

>a wilful prison sentence
M8 i'm gonna find out tomorrow if I have a shot at a decent job or if I'm going to be stuck being a bottom-tier solicitor working 11hrs a day, 6 days a week, for the rest of my miserable life doing something that I fucking despise with people i can't stand, for people I can't stand.

Working my life around the 8-10 hour shifts of a submemer and just consuming my time with being autistically pedantic about systems and knowing every single facet of my machine inside and out and back to front sounds far more satisfying than the corporate prison I'm otherwise going to land myself in.

the less attractive ones are the most likely to act like hard stacies.
ignore her, it doesn't matter if she gets smashed or continues to act like a bitch or whatever. Just keep your head down and get through training.

What's a good air force job that could translate to something civilian after I'm out? Preferrably something engineering related.

Oh, well that explains why a recruiter hasn't blown you for a chance at an officer package. Sorry famalam, but you're probably fucked. Kangaroos probably have better odds.

>tfw fell for the /meg/ memes

Any insight into small arms/ artillery repair?

>boatswain's mate performs some of the duties of the ma but it's more boat focused

>be enlisted, get broken

>probably getting a med discharge in the near future, about 10 months before the end of my enlistment

>intend to go to school, get a degree, get back in as an officer ASAP

>most likely to be better and 100% by the time I get a degree

curious as to the whole "tell us you can't sleep, have tinnitus, etc so we can bump up your benefits" process works if you intend to get back in ; would disclosing any kind of problem (other than the obvious one I'm getting booted for) hamper any chances at getting a commission a few years from now? Any tips for getting out if you intend to rejoin later on?

Attached: atheists-one-hurting-juice-owww-oohhh-my-bones-19729929.png (500x676, 172K)

I was a HM on a DDG for 3 years, did a MEU deployment green side as well.

If you are a female, you are most likely going to be station on a ship at some point. Navy wants at least one female HM within medical (for standbys/pelvic exams/etc)

If you are male, they will try to keep you green side (with Marines) but the 8404 NEC is overmanned as fuck last I checked, so more sailors are getting pushed towards blue side.

As an HM, ship life gets better as the size of the command gets smaller. Ex: Carrier HMs hate life because they are delegated bullshit tasks and they isn't enough patients for them to all get medical experience.

Whereas on a DDG or smallboy, you are the go-to guy (1 HM for 100 sailors roughly) which is fucking awesome if you actually care about developing medical skills and knowledge. You are essentially working directly next to an IDC and can learn tons. I got to perform numerous surgical procedures on my own once I got my IDCs confidence. It's all it what you limit yourself to.

You could also try out for SARC or SAR Corpsman....

TLDR:
>ships are a part of the Navy and Marines, sorry SHIPmate :)
>bigger ships, less fun stuff, less work
>smaller ships, more career progression, more work

Good, stay out of the military because you won't cut it.

In the near future I'll have a 4-year nursing degree and will then want to enlist as a 68W or HM and NOT a commissioned nursing officer. Trust me, I have my reasons. My question is, will I be forced or coerced into commissioning as a nurse if recruiters know I have a nursing degree? Should I lie and say I have some other random degree (English, etc) instead? Are educational backgrounds verified at all?

Yeah but, consider the following. None of you are even good at your job, you just spam Motrin, do paperwork and suck up to your LPOs everyday. I was an AM, and if we half Assed our work like you guys did there would be heads rolling.

You know unemployment exists right?

Yes if you get retirement you can never rejoin.

If you dont but are med discharged, be aware you have to stop your ga disability payments AND pass a va and meps physical to show you are magically healed. So dont go too crazy on how many injuries you have if u wanna get out.

No one cares.

But also enter on the acasp program so you can choose your first duty station.unless you plan to do an op40 or something, then nvm.

BTW, have fun being a medical assistant as enlisted. Not even lpn/lvn tier, but your choice. Fyi 68c is lpn/lvn in army.
