Specifically 8" and shorter barrels.. Why is the industry hesitating so badly to have more/better option in 10mm. Same for .357 mag and .44 mag (which understandably the rimmed case causes issues but the issue has been and can continue to be further resolved as evident in any magazine fed magnum firearm). But in all seriousness the whole debacle of 5.56 ($1.00/round for optimized cartridges for short barrels) .300 blk (really just excels most in being supressed) fuck it all and compromise for 7.62x39 (enjoy your fireball from the depths of hell) 9mm (weak for this style of firearm) .45 acp (slow chunksicle).
10mm auto and magnum rounds should be dominating this area of the market by a landslide.
Ultimately I want a viable and not excessively difficult to find or have to have custom made 6-7" AR pistol in 10, 357, 44. Do it. Do it now.
Fuck me. I meant to mention DI being the route to go to handle it all. Less recoil, less catastrophic failure resulting in ending the day with 2 bolts when you started with 1
Chase Garcia
That certainly is an option and is entirely doable. But what I'm saying is that it seems ridiculous that PCCs like this aren't massively, readily available
Alexander Anderson
>$1.00 20 cent tula out of an sbr'd AUG is miles ahead of any snowflake pistol caliber If you're supressing, go with 300 or fuddyfive
Gavin Richardson
OAW is still long. And the $1 is for sbr 5.56 rounds
Michael Rodriguez
because nobody makes that looks cool or is cheap enough for faggots to get behind. when my money from crypto comes through im going to pay someone to design this
Joseph Rodriguez
Sub guns have been fallout out of relevancy for a while now. SBR's just do everything better.
Jack Hall
>PCCs in pistol length aren't extremely popular Yeah..no
Jose Harris
maybe it's because normal people don't care about energy differences and barrel lenght optimizations
and that it boils down to either 9mm or .223
Nathaniel Price
SBRs currently can only take advantage of the cartridge out of at very minimum 8.5", more realistically 10". 10mm and 357 mag would be beyond optimal at 6"
Zachary Scott
Whatever happened to those .50 AE uppers? Seems like that would be ideal for the biggest option out of a short barrel.
Brayden Nguyen
is there a reason why Jow Forums has such a hard on for 10mm other than beeg boolit?
Aaron Torres
It's an autoloader designed essentially magnum cartridge in a large caliber and the cost is extremely reasonable
Jeremiah Green
Noveske announced the 10mm PDW but it's not like any of it is proprietary specific at all. A stronger metal bolt is about all that should be needed even for magnum loads
Juan Taylor
Maybe because taking pistol ammunition and making it worse for use in pistols is retarded when we already have intermediates.
Charles Wilson
Because everyone likes .357 mag and 10mm is the autoloader analog to .357. Its a legitimately good cartridge that doesn't require going out of ones way to get into an auto like the coonan, automag or DE
Also .45super, .460 rowland, .960 rowland, 9mm major and 9mm super cooper are old news and they'll all work in whatever pcc you want to shove em into
Gavin Peterson
That doesn't make any sense at all. Intermediate cartridges aren't inherently designed for pistol length, short carbine ar best. How would a pistol caliber be worse by being used in in the same barrel length as long slides or long barrel revolvers?
Daniel Collins
"Beeg boolit" makes a ton of sense in this application, and that's from someone who thinks .45 ACP and up is completely unnecessary in handguns. Apart from ammo cost and commonality with a handgun, there's no reason for pistol caliber carbine to not be in something like 10mm or .357 Magnum.
Cameron Jackson
Exactly. Rifle cartridges can't benefit to their fullest in a 6 or 7" barrel. 9mm is anemic for what the exact same set up can provide. 45 acp is subjectively...meh. magnum rounds and 10mm are the most logical option for this set up
Hunter Anderson
>Yeah...no
Go back to California you valley thot!
Ethan Ramirez
Because even magnum pistol rounds can't penetrate a lot of armor. 5.56 from an 11.5" will
Logan Green
>5.56 ($1.00/round for optimized cartridges for short barrels) . As someone who pays .38-50c a round. Please explain.
Isaiah Wright
I don't think most people are purchasing pistol caliber carbines with the expectation of piercing body armor.
Gabriel Wood
If you want to move the goal post in that direction, then you may as well say nothing under a spitzer in .30 cal with steel core minimum is viable. Which is obviously false.
Thomas Parker
220gr hard cast 10mm goes through 3a soft easily.
Justin Turner
$15/20=$0.75 my bad
John Young
Also this is designed for 10.5"-11.5" barrels. Not 6-7
