Gun Show Stories

>went to this today
>guy has a sign Sauer p938 for sale
>says some customer ordered it off gungrabber during a late night of virtual drunk driving on the information superhighway
>customer "fired only one magazine through it" before selling it back to this guy's local gun store ffl
>hmm, seems like it may have had slightly more than seven shots fired
>plus unfortunately it's made in america
>sticker says $700
>without missing a beat guy says he'll let it go for $650
>i hadn't even thought about starting to haggle yet
>remember some user here posted about his p938's safety falling out when clearing the chamber
>remember several other unflattering sig sauer experiences had & related by various others
>tell the guy it's a good price and that I'll probably be back to buy it after checking out the other dealers downstairs
>poke around
>leave without buying anything because of unconstitutional interstate sale laws and besides nothing really grabbed my attention
Did I make a wise decision by not quasillegally buying a somewhat suspect American-made Sick Sour for $650, or should I have just offered the guy $500 cash in hand?

>go to buy SKS stripper clips
>forget to buy
>end up basically stealing a nice 1903-A3 for $480

good day

Do private sales count?

>Be me noguns, with strong desire to become hasguns
>See ad for FNS 9
>Have had mostly good experience with FN pistols, buddy has one that I like
>Meet this guy at Buc-EEs (truck stop)
>He's pretty normal
>End up talking him down to $350
>Am now hasguns

>go to a gunshow
>$4K 1903 springfields
>$2k mausers
>lever action 1873 $1.9k

>be yesterday
>go to buy range ammo at show
>pick up 2 boxes of brazilian 10mm and 2 boxes of serbian 9mm
>table owner is having some trump conversation
>stand there like an asshole for 2 full minutes waiting for him to take my money
>looks at what I have in my hands
>"ok, that's $40"
>hand him $40
>he stops and stares at me
>"oh wait no, actually $60"
>hand him another $20
>gives me a bag to bag it up
>bag my ammo up directly in front of him
>turn around and start walking away
>"woah woah woah, hold up 1 minute"
>"I gotta check your bag"
>checks my bag, gives it back, says nothing more
>leave wondering wtf just happened

did he have fucking brain damage?

>$4k 1903 springfield
there's always 1 guy with like 4 of them, he's also the same guy selling dirty beat up garands for $1700

>Went to gun show in Laughlin NV
>Purses
>Toys
>More purses
>"Handmade" jewelry
>Oh look, a table with a gun
>"Sorry can't sell to you. You're an Arizona resident.
>Candles
>Fake Nazi shit.

>non gun related tables
the whole back aisle at the last show was entirely juice related

>fresh squeezed juice
>long term storage juice
>detox juice
>industrial juicers
>upgraded blades for industrial juicers

Fucking hell, and a shadow box of of Ally and Axis pistols beat to shit for $8k+

he's also the same guy selling obscure rifle reloads in beat up green and blue plastic boxes for $2.75/round

No he’s just an asshole who thinks having a conversation is better than making a quick buck. Terrible salesmanship and probably the reason he’s selling at a gun show.

You did right, hopefully he wasn't able to sell it and that trash stays locked up somewhere collecting dust.

every show... every show it's the same garbage prices

>$595 gen 4 glock 19
>$1700 basic M1A
>$1595 Tavor
>$1600 50AE Deagle
>$600 nameless generic AR uppers
>$900 nameless generic AR upper with cable wire hand guard
>the gun show "armorer" selling his custom bcgs for $250

I go out of boredom, but god damn, there's really never anything good. God forbid a fudd catches you checking the price on his $1700 M1A, your whole day is over

Don't M1As usually go for $1700?

Yeah, but it's a gun show. It's like going to a flea market and selling shit at amazon prices

Every gun show I’ve been to had a very large amount of Kimber 1911s on many tables for some reason.

Both did good.

Oh shit. I almost went to this. We should shoot sometime.

>1903-A3
>$480
you sly dog

Recently went to the Huntsville, AL show. There were a few gems.
>guy was selling a DR-200 and DR-300
>Auto-5 for $500
>SP1 for $700
>m77/44
>FN49
>wall of WWII-era M1 carbines for about $1000

But it was like 50% knives, like fuck off. No name or un-heard of AR parts. Overpriced Mosins, SKSs, and Mausers. Some fucker was selling a sporterized Argentine Maurer for $1700 (I nearly bursted out right there). And there were tables of old R700s and S&W for brand new prices ("firm" or course). And there was no ammo or jerky booths, which was weird.

Couldn't even buy the Daewoos or the FN49 because I was out of state =(

>huntsville
which one, the cahaba shrine show or the travelling one that uses the fairgrounds?
I dont know where the m44 guy finds them but everytime i see him he has at least one with the bayonet
theres also one guy with a couple of beat to shit galils for $3k

Fairgrounds? It was at the VBC last weekend.

What did that argentine loo like it might have been mine lol

The stock was cut down to behind the band and the band was removed. That's about all I can remember of it. Can't seem to remember if there was a scope mounted or not...

>stun gun crackles
>knife tables
>jerky table
>ATF table
>guy selling chinese fuses, natsoc flags, and bomb making manuals
>generic ar shit table
>old guys with sporterized milsurp slung on their back and a for sale flag taped to barrel
>service dogs at every turn
>strange infomercial type shit table
>women with qt daughters selling craft shit

they're always the same. i go to pet service dogs and hit on qt craft girls.

Bought a sporter'd Lee Enfield for $200. Aside from the stock being bubba'd, the thing was in great shape.
Tried to trade a neato molle chestrig from Eagle Industries to a guy in exchange for a couple of 1980s improved LBEs. He said that because he didn't know what it was he couldn't do the trade. Fucking faggot.
