Ill unironically blow you just so they could be legal in canada.

I'd unironically lose one on a boat trip from Upper Michigan, which you could miraculously find on your boat. but i don't know you so frigg off.

I almost want to start collecting FN rifles, but they seem to be the only thing more obnoxiously overpriced than H&K.

Mod. 27?

Yup.

Neat-o. Digging the color case hardening (or patina).
27-2 or -3?

Found the fudd.

Pre-lock -3, really not a connoisseur so I don't even know if that's relevant or if it makes sense.

When you're stranded in CA you make do. It's how I learned to stop worrying and love the fuddshit. If you think that's fuddy I also have a single-shot 20ga and a BLR in .308, which puts me at least 6/10 on the fudd-o-meter.

That said I also have a Glock and am waiting on a Kel-Tec SU-16 to clear gun jail, so it's not like I hate on combat tupperware.

just build an AR out of an 80%

My favorite raifu just happens to be a (mostly) Rhodesian fal had to piece it together

The S&W purists generally prefer the 27-2s over the 27-3s, but the latter is just as good functionally and is still a very well-crafted gun. Over time they transitioned away from pinned barrels, hammer mounted firing pins and towards cheaper bluing/finish to keep costs down.

It's all the same to me really as long as it's a pre-lock. I think your gun is beautiful and I hope you pass it on to your children. I'm not a snob over it since the only reason I have my 28-2 is that it landed in my lap for the right price.

But.. but.. muh RA markings

I bought/built a few over the years but I'm just not crazy over the AR-15. I dig the AR-18 design a lot more. Or better still the M14/Mini-14, hence why I own an M1A.

That's not to say the AR-15/10 is bad, it's just not my thing. Different strokes for different folks.

>I think your gun is beautiful and I hope you pass it on to your children
th-thanks, it actually is a head-turner at the range.

Oh yes also, mine originally had a Pachmayr grip when I got it that I'm debating putting back on because the Hogue grip obscures the beautiful S&W trademark logo. I just like the feel of the Hogue grip a lot more.

If you want to show off the rollmark original wood or Pachmayr is the way to go.

I'm thinking about it but the Hogue fits my hand so perfectly it's ridiculous, almost like I had a custom molded one.

Yeah, that's the rub. I wish Hogue made a grip that left space for the trademark to be visible.

My Swiss raifus. Separated by eighty years, both shoot great. B&T could use some lessons in making a lighter rifle, but the accuracy and smoothness make up for it.

Is that you Mishaco?

Revolver and a shitty Dubbla-Dubbla 2 raful.
Also, trips of deception.

>only thing more obnoxiously overpriced than H&K
what are AKs in 2018?

Speaking of which. I'm thinking of buying a: Legion Soviet AKM
https ://www.legionusa.com/legion-usa-russian-akm-soviet.html

or a Rifle Dynamics AKM

Both about the same price. Any suggestions?

AKs aren't overpriced. We just lost the ultra-cheap $300-400 parts kit builds and imports. Hopefully we'll get them back, but in the meantime we're stuck with domestic production which is either more expensive and ultra shitty (because they under-estimate what it takes to build a decent let along good AK and have no experience) or good but ultra-expensive ones because they don't have the advantage of cheap foreign labor and parts/tooling that was already bought and paid for during the cold war.

If enough commercial manufacturers make AKs eventually they'll get their shit together and make enough of them in numbers to get the prices down and quality up. PSA might swing it in the next couple years if they make forged bolts/carriers/trunnions standard.

Which means they're overpriced. Because when quality/lackthereof doesn't match price expectation means overpriced. One of the strongest selling points of the AK is not being expensive but when you have have cheaper "gucci" rival ARs taking the low cost tag out from the "ugly but functional" AK, it aint looking good.

Don't buy Rifle Dynamics. I'd buy the Legion before an Arsenal before a WASR before a Rifle Dynamics build

Thought it was the older Adidas logo from the thumbnail.

I love my Yugo to death. You could drop a bomb on this thing and it'd function.
Previous owner used wheel bearing grease as lube which I thought was funny but he wasn't lying when he said it actually works really well.

Need me one. I heard if a guy near me that sells refurbs that look brand new for cheap

That MOE handguard is hideous. Put the A2 back on, and get yourself an ACOG, or a carry handle. The grip is acceptable only because A2 grips are the worst.

Buy it. Literally nobody cares how refinished or common a Luger is anymore. They're scarce and iconic enough that if you have one at a range and it works you're pretty much the coolest guy there.

Nice opinion.

How much did you have to put into this, and did you build it from parts?

Assume it's a rhodie.

Pretty sure he does c96s too, cobbles together the ones nobody will miss with extra parts and refinishes em

You're the one bastardizing an A3. The only point to having one is to have a military clone.

If you are like me and you particularly enjoy the look on people's faces when you invite them to shoot a rare/iconic/expensive/nice gun then either would be a good investment. Although a 9mm Luger will be easier to feed, also less chance of someone messing up a reload and dropping it.

I remember back when I was 4 or 5 we had a neighbor that was a WW2 vet. He was sitting in his recliner chair telling war stories when he dug underneath the cushion and pulled out a Luger. Said he took it from a dead Nazi officer. I need to find out where that gun is.

Grip seems off imo, do you though.

I have a polish underfolder with similar furniture and a red bakelite grip really made it come together.

you don't know what an A3 is
