what the fuck is wrong with 4 gauge, you weak fuck

Search for betsy gun ammo. Its a geophysical tool that shoots 8 ga

I had a buddy who did a restoration on a double barrel 8 gauge D shotgun. He did manage to find a company that sells it. The ammo is so expensive that it's not even worth firing it.

Build a 10 gauge or something so you can at least use the damn thing.

Yeah, I can believe that

>>only buckshot
Nah, they got #2 and #4 birdshot as well, you could knock down a crow with that.

I'm sure you saw this in the thread where you got this idea, but a guy on gunbroker is selling "prototype" 8-gauge guns for industrial shells (one auction lists 4 available, and one lists 3):

gunbroker.com/item/769947326
The same guy has a number of listings for various 8-gauge shells, all at $15/each:

Maybe get in touch with him (possibly as though you're interested in buying one of the prototype guns), and ask about how to get hold of ammo in larger quantities (and hopefully better prices).

Winchester, Remington, and Fiocchi (see below) make the ammo. Might be worth getting in touch with them, may turn out easier to get hold of these things from one or the other than you'd think. Maybe mention that you're thinking of buying one of those gunbroker items, or claim you're looking at buying a used kiln gun. (Probably don't mention to them that you're building a pipe gun, lol.)

Alternately, if you can find someone near you who uses these things, you may be able to persuade them to throw in an extra box of shells in their next order for you.

Finally, some other ammo on gunbroker:

Not using (-)1 gauge? Hit the gym bruh.

Yes really

The only hard part is figuring out how I'm gonna fire it for the first time when I'm not sure if it will blow up

In an abandoned quarry, with a string.

It shoots zinc slugs to bust mineral masses.

They're used to clean kilns and blast furnaces without shutting them down.
