Whats your vest gonna do now bitches!
>too heavy
>limited to small magazines
>needs a new recoil reduction system
>we already have enough full power cartridges
No, what would be a true revolution is an intermediate caliber that penetrates ar500 plates and mushrooms like a 240gr hollow point fired from a 14 inch barrel with very little recoil to make accurate full auto, or at least 10 round burst, fire viable at up to 50yd. Also the round has to be light enough for the average rifle man to carry 200-300 rounds.
4/10, made me google 8.43x63 to see if I had missed some new cartrdige
Why not just go back to 7.92 Kurz? I wonder if you can make an AR shoot it
kek
>Decimal in the wrong place.
We're dealing with low IQ or underage.
.556 would be pretty effective against body armor, I'd imagine. That's like a Boys rifle.
That's the part of this thread you have an issue with?
I see where you are going with this.
>Marines want full auto fire squads
>use $18 per shot ammo
Defense contractor please leave.
I can't think of any reason why you couldn't. Might be a fun project
Fits ok in my .458 socom bolt. Not alot of play though
Why would you use a bigger, heavier round for armor penetration?
>8.43x63
What would that bullet even look like
>.556
14mm?
>Military switching from 5.56 to 9.5x40

What's that, the old .338/06 wildcat that was briefly a fad among the moose hunters in Canada in the 50s?
.338-06?
sushi?
essentially, yes. Another 8mm
>.338/06
They should make a full auto version!
The .338-06 is a versatile cartridge for hunting bigger game. Loaded with light weight bullets, such as the 180gr. Nosler Accubond, it is adequate for species like deer or pronghorn at medium to long range, and when loaded with heavier premium bullets like the 225gr. Nosler Partition or even the 250gr partition the .338-06 can handle the largest North America game including moose and brown bear.
Rifles chambered in .338-06 need not be as heavy as a 338 Winchester Magnum or other 338 magnums; therefore, .338-06 chambered rifles more desirable for mountain hunting or where excessive weight is an issue. While the .338-06 performs well from a 22" barrel most magnum rifle cartridges in the same caliber, such as the .340 Weatherby, require a longer 24-26" barrel to reach their full potential.
>.50 Alaskan
Dude went crazy with 24 hour sunlight.
>take .348 winchester
>neck cartridge out to .50
>cut 720gr. boat tail .50 BMG in half.
>take the ass end, flip it over, jam it into cartridge.
>ream chamber out to match.
Dude claims he's never recovered a bullet, no matter how he hits a grizzly or moose....
5.5x65
Might be just a bit overbore
