just make sure you get the right caliber.
It is rather dramatic to have a 22 cal break on a 30 cal rifle
Yeah its made by this Ukrainian company strela for 7.62 rifles
The 74 brakes are great on 5.45 riffles. Rob is just shilling the fighter break that by the way he has made and profits off if
I accidentally shot a 5.45 brake on a 7.62 rifle.
Said rifle is a Saiga conversion, guy I bought it from did the FSB conversion using Bulgarian 74 parts, and never mentioned it before I bought it.
Took it to the range, and nothing was hitting the target, save for a bunch of keyholes hitting way low.
I inspected the brake and like I thought, it was a 5.45 brake, found a couple cracks too.
>silly Russo-Chink brake.
Some years ago I had barrel cut and re-threaded at 14x1LH
Installed pic related
Might as well be shooting a 22 cal AR toy. Very little recoil.
The AK74 brake works great on AK74 rifles. There’s higher pressure gas coming from the barrel for the brake to work with. It still works okay on 7.62 rifles but not quite as well. And it weighs a lot for what it accomplishes.
My favorite part about the AK74 brake is that it’s not super concussive for either caliber. Most new muzzle brake designs use a multi chamber/baffle system which is miserable to everyone who isn’t the shooter. With some exceptions like the battlecomp or the MAMS. But the AK74 brake is hardly concussive at all.
>ukrainian
No such company.
>Trusting the Polish
I hear the Strike Industries J-Comp is also bretty gud on 7.62x39mm, if you can find them in stock anywhere.
This is like the least scientific test I've ever seen done on muzzle devices.
I'm very happy with the one I got now, as I said, it's been on for a few years now. If ever it breaks, (I heard some years back one prong bent on a dude who dropped his rifle) maybe I'll consider the one you suggested. Would have to research it. But thanks for the info!
>AK-74 Brake doesn't work
BULL. SHIT.
The AK slant break is nearly useless, its only redeeming feature is that it's light.
I have an AKM, If I get one of these j-comps will my bayonet still fit
I haven't tried, so I don't really know--but it looks a bit large, so I wouldn't bet on it.
>my bayonet still fit
You expecting to be overrun, jackass?

>if I greentexted what I did in Kosovo to your Slavs, you'd cry
Everyone will hate you but it's effective as fuck
That must weigh a ton
Also retardedly ugly as fuck. Fucking Russians have no concept of design aesthetic.
Is firearm, tovarisch. Is tool to defend Rodina from fascist aggressors. Is not object of aesthetic contemplation.
4u
You should go kick that guys ass.
Just did mine recently.
It seems like the recoil is a bit softer but it could just be placebo. I'd have to take it off and put it back on one day and pay attention to really be able to tell. I just like it desu.
I don't care. It looks great.

He didn’t say it was bad. He said there are better options that are smaller, lighter and cheaper.
Where's the porn sauce of pic related?
Kimmy Granger on the right, dunno who the otehr cunt is.

You're welcome
I used to like rob until I realized how much of a shill and idiot he is, supposedly he is a army reserve marksman yet doesn't understand how 7.62 is more accurate at range then 5.45, (he's a huge 5.45 meme worshipper)
besides being a blind fanboy ignoring facts, he's a huge shill, the 74 brake is still probably one of the most effective brakes out there.
the slant brake works pretty well for a slanted piece of metal, and has muh aesthetic.
>7.62 is more accurate at range then 5.45
Please, tell me how 7.62x39mm is more accurate than 5.45x39mm.
It's lighter than the AK-74 style brake. It's also quite a bit shorter.
larger numbers means it's better out to farther
kek
74 is larger than 47. Checkmate, heretic!
5.45 is extremely light and is highly prone to being blown off course at extended ranges, 7.62 is not.
preschool level ballistics, if he's actually a "marksman" like he claims to be he knows why this is
7.62 won't even reach those extended ranges
No boyonet=no sale.
7.62x39mm doesn't have near the velocity 5.45x39mm has. Further, being very heavy it loses velocity quickly and thus drops like a stone past 300 meters. 5.45x39mm and 5.56x45mm both have longer range than 7.62x39mm.
7.62x51mm and 7.62x54mm are much more powerful and have a much higher velocity than 7.62x39mm. Also being heavier than 5.45x39mm or 5.56x45mm, they have a longer range. But Rob Ski wasn't talking about those - he was speaking about 7.62x39mm (it's AK Operator Union, not SVD Operator Union).
The muzzlebreak i put on my VZ58 made a nice difference.
Fuck your aesthetics. Practicality is what looks good to me.
Lol at russia's own graphs saying that 5.56mm is better than what they use. It's undeniable, though. M4's can engage at 500m. AK47's max out at 300m, although with their terrible sights you still won't hit shit past 200m.
thats a older map 7n10 shits all over modern 5.56
>muh sights
sounds like someone can't shoot so he blames the equipment
I have similar on my AR. It really is like shooting a .22. some people complain about the back blast though.
> Modern 5.56
> SS109, m193
> Not m855a1 or even m855
Minutia pissing match aside though, why no 5.45 over 60gr? Do Russian units still exclusively use 7.62x54r for all their SPRs?
>Hello Autism
it's summer alright
If I take that muzzle brake off, will you die?
>redtube.com
God Bless (You)!
>russians
>not aesthetic
it's one of the few things they almost always get right, user
>vatnik
yea, sure.
heavier projectiles are more accurate at long distance vs lighter ones, it's a physics thing.
>7.62x39
>trajectory like a mortar round
>goes subsonic before 500m, at which point turbulent transonic drag plays merry hell with its trajectory and can even make it start tumbling end over end
>after which it doesn't have someone's name on it, it's just addressed to "Occupant"
>5.45 has superior ballistic coefficient and an extra 650 ft/sec muzzle velocity
>stays supersonic out to 700m, maybe a bit more in favorable atmospheric conditions
Please tell us more about all the highpower competitions you've taken part in.

Which one? Got any pics? I've still got the slant brake that came on my VZ and it actually makes the gun less accurate by a fairly large amount.
