I just wanted one know bully pls
>Only 24 members, none of our favourite tripshits
Gay.
is it worth getting a range membership to shoot pistols? Is punching holes in paper with a pistol fun enough to justify the cost?
>Inb4 you can shoot Rs on your property
I dont have that much property
It can be. Depends on what you like. I think action pistol sports are pretty fun.
I would say yes. I have fun with my pistols and have introduced a lot of people to shooting, and thus encouraged them to get their PAL due to pistols.
Not too many people from cities are all that enthused about shooting rifles.
Kinda depends on the cost of the range membership though. Worst comes to worse you could get a pistol, join for a year or two and if you don't like it, sell the pistol and don't renew your membership.
do not fall for this, it's like their 5th attempt
It's literally been weeks since I last posted it.
>Kinda depends on the cost of the range membership though
about 500 per year. It is 24/7 access which is a plus. is this a decent price? It also has trap and several other rifle ranges (as well as the longest range in sw ontario)
which range is this?
east elgin sportsman's association
That's a lotta coin. But yeah 24/7 is a plus and if they have several different ranges you can use a variety of funs it won't be bad if you go often.
Think of it this way, if you go twice a month per year it's $20.84 per visit.
Once per month its $41.67
One of the few ranges that offers drop in around me is $35, I think the other is $20. So it's kinda like paying drop in fees upfront.
not for honor, but for yoooooou
yeah it's worth it dude.
you a member there?
been there once, but I'm a member at Silverdale because it's closer.
Drop in fees for southern American here is 15 per visit (2 hour time but that isn't enforced) plus 5.99 per paper body Target, 10 to shoot steel (usually only handguns)
It'll seem like a lot to pay up front, and it is, it's up to you make it worth it. And look guys, even if you can't make the range trips, even if you can't pay the yearly dues, get your PALs and be a member of the firearm community. You know you want to, you know it's worth it, and you know it's gonna be a good decision.
Hope to see you on the ranges my northern brothers.
im only about half and hour out from eesa. I'll have to think on it.
30 minute drive is nothing. I live deep in the GTA so any range is at least one hour away and I put up with that.
Anyone know any gunsmiths that will build my garand for me in southern Ontario?
I know someone in ab who will. It may or may not get converted to a bm59 in 458 win
>tfw $75 a year for range membership
Feels good.
i'm ok with this
Is there any actual law stating you cant handle a firearm drunk or is it a suggestion?
Nah its basically mandatory
I can't get over the cats smug ass look
Mandatory to drink while handling firearms? Shit, I've been doing it wrong the whole time!
If i put on a name youd realize how ridiculous you sound mm.
>truckfag tries a false flag
Pathetic.
That pic can't be real.
Please tell me it's real.
Anybody in here know when these fucking maccabee slr recievers are gonna start shipping? I almost cant contain the benis any longer
late summer
Any recommendations for a budget auto-loader shotty for shooting clay? Or would I be better off with pump, looking to buy new.
What do you own a gorka for?
From what I understand auto shotguns are generally really fucking finicky and the more expensive ones, like Beretta's offerings will function better than the cheaper stuff. I'm not super knowledgeable about this stuff though so don't take my word for absolute certainty.
Honestly, just save your pennies and get a Beretta.
Used Browning Auto-5. I paid mine 450 and it's a bit of a beater but it never once failed on me and it's arguably my most fun gun.
But honestly if you're looking for something really cheap you'd be better off with pump.
>not having gear for slav cosplay
>slav cosplay
You larping fags make me sick
Is it worth joining the primary reserves?
It's ok, so long as you join infantry. Don't expect to do a whole lot, though, since the budget for the reserves is fuck all.
Im joining combat engineer this summer. Reg force, what am I in for?
I was thinking of reserve force combat engineer. I don't want to destroy my body by the time in 25
Mostly building bridges over festering sewers in dongfuckustan. Maybe mine clearing. Tank recovery seems cool, though.
>Fuck all.
Hey, the budget has increased!
Yeah I was told I could go eod if I did well. Thats what I want to do.
>Such is life with Moleman
That's my interpretation of that smug ass look.
Where'd ya get that 74?
Rebuilt a dewat. Piss easy too. Once i had all the tools it only took me 20min to assemble and headspace it.
how was the dewat dewated? seems like you would have to buy several major components unless it was done in a rather minimal way.
Make a vid of you firing it
>destroy my body by the time in 25
>infantry reserves
Good one.
2 small welds holding the carrier amd barrel in and one holding the hammer to the bolt, and the barrel was plugged and drilled. I ended up only having to replace the bolt barrel and hammer. I have a virgin russian barrel on the way cause i fucked up the cheap american barrel when i went to drift it out a bit cause the head space was a little tight for my liking. Only took the drift being off center 1mm to fuck the chamber up. Thought using a softer metal for the drift punch would help but i forgot how shitty american steel is now.
Why would i do that
Fuck, ignore second quote.
Nice try dudley douchebag
>Why would i do that
Just want to see guns shoot
its an alright price, fuck people on CGN who want 1k+ and more for their RC K98
How hard do you think it would be to re-activate a FAL that doesn't cock and click but the bolt retracts and the mag is insertable?
Where is that from?
Not him, but Leverarms. leverarms.com
Judging by the description they're pretty beat up.
Its highly dependent on what or how much is fucked. But realistically if you can salvage the upper and lower reciever youre good, just need a parts kit and barrel from that point
And where would one find a barrel and parts kit or acquire on in Canada for an AK-74 then?
Only asking out of academic curiosity.
>finger on trigger
Do you have a picture of the severed cat's head?
well its due here next Tuesday so we will see
Haven't been on here for a few months, how fucked are we? Is Scheer feared?
I dunno, but apparently some Quebec-nigger company managed to get F2000's into the country non-restricted. Blew my fucking mind. Maybe there's hope for the SCAR getting an NR FRT after all, given how fucking angry the F2000 looks. Maybe chief horsefaggot at the RCMP Bureau of whatever the fuck where they classify shit retired and we've now got a young, hip Jow Forumsommando giving final approval?
>F2000
wat
As much as niggers like to complain -- rcmp is still bound by the classification rules laid out in the firearms act.
They also lobby against freedoms for the rest of us to make their job easier. Fuck the RCMP. Trash agency full of trash people.
You dont.
I'm 25 and just got out of the engineers. Started reserve, ended reg in Pet. The physical toll is pretty intense especially during bridging. My shoulders are basically gone and bone spurs in the heels from jumps and general PT.
Engineer trades course in a nutshell:
>get to tent city
>realize I'll be sleeping in a mod tent the next 3 months
>inspections immediately, every day, they tone it down after the first month or so
>nightly fire picket (walk around in uniform with a pick handle, air horn, and a flashlight to narc on people)
>troops get broken, get sent home, RTU themselves
>learn about tools, get tested on everything from hammering nails to hydraulic jackhammers
>only allowed to eat 1 mess meal/day except on weekends, the rest is from hay boxes in a mod tent
>pray before eating, recite engineer's creed, and a bunch of other shit
>do demolitions, definitely the bread and butter especially when it comes to TEB
>get cocked especially hard during this mod so as not to fuck up when it matters
>PT every morning with the Lt. or WO, hacking darts waiting for them to show up
>mopping disgusting showers and bathrooms
>do bridging, break body, staff relaxes because troops need rest
>play pirates on rigid-hull at swan lake
>get most weekends off, go bridge jumping in Oromocto, go to PEI, or just anywhere off base in general
>do mines and search, stay out all night prodding for mines like it's fucking 1940
>unearth old munitions at this tiny compound half an hour into the training area
>get cocked by Sgt. Wolf
>construct fortifications and do HESCO in the rain and hate life
>sometimes cadre staff will follow the troops back to tent lines and administer a couple of hours of bullshit cock
>walk everywhere on base, do stupid morale-building ruck marches with the whole base and some americans at 1km/h
>get drunk and pay buddy to vape his own cum at the grad party
That's just for trades, basic and BMQ/L are fun and I wish I could do them all over
also expect to carry around some kind of massive unwieldy trophy for your troop around base. Another from my trades:
>doing search
>old dilapidated cars used for vehicle searches
>37°C, troops are cooking
>some idiot goes "Sgt. I'm hot, can I sit in the shade?"
>Sgt says nothing, gets up, and walks over to one of the cars
>rips the passenger door clean off and comes back with it
>"Well if you're too hot private, why don't you just roll down the window?"
>stupid pte is forced to carry this car door around base and on the bus everywhere with him
>Sentries watch it during meals
>He marches with it in ranks and his rifle slung
He ended up being told not to come back to Gagetown unless they ask for him because the base commandant and a bunch of civvies saw him walking around with a fucking car door. That, and the day before he poured liquid cement into my sister course's cargo pockets. He made them line up while he poured it out of the mixer because they were moving too slowly and got a bunch of chemical burns
>Finally get a bite on my gunpost listing for my PC Carbine
>He asks if I can drop it off at my LGS so the gunsmith can verify it for function and safety, as well as to ensure it's as advertised, and then he would pay me for the inspection, the cost of the gun, and for the gunsmith to ship it to him
Does this seem unusual to anybody? I've sold multiple guns on the CGN EE before and have never been asked to do this. To be honest I'm not even sure if it's something my LGS can do.
Yeah Questar I think, I remember seeing them on their site ages ago. They were something like $3k, maybe more.
shopquestar.com
They still have the listing on their site.
Also, how much has the SJW culture seeped into the CF?
Any amount is too much.
I just want to know, because I don't want to spend my time as a reservist sitting through a shitload of lectures on gender identity, and pronouns
Seems kinda strange to me. Especially since it's a new gun and not like a 90 year old war relic the guy is trying to use as a plinker.
Your LGS or any competent gunsmith could absolutely do it, but they might just tell you to sell it to someone who isn't retarded.
They might not be comfortable shipping your gun to someone you sold it to. That's the part I'd have issue with. Why the hell does it have to be shipped from the gunsmith? The guy doesn't want to call in to complete a private transfer or something?
Yeah I have no idea, he said he'd talk to me about it more tomorrow. I'm kinda thinking of just saying no and waiting for somebody else to buy it.
Might be a good call. I mean, the guy is acting like he's buying an antique and needs it appraised first.
Also thanks now I know about gunpost maybe I should list a few of mine on there. Got a few that the CGN fudds aren't biting.
'chimo' fellow former reserve gone reg force faggot
if you didn't fuck a chick on the obstacle course you didn't have a real DP1
Hello fellow Canadians, after studying your gun laws I have come to realize that we are not so different you and I. Here category B weapons are restricted to sport shooting in an affiliated range aswell. Category C weapons can be shot anywhere as long as they don't disturb the peace and the surrounding is safe.
I'm getting increasingly scared to buy new funs because the threat of getting everything taken away from me is a very thin line than can be crossed for almost no reason. Can the government also take your guns away if, for instance, somebody filed a report against you?
>Can the government also take your guns away if, for instance, somebody filed a report against you?
Something like that, yeah. Correct me if I'm wrong
I don't think there is any freedom in owning guns as long as their date of purchase, serial number and your name are stored somewhere in some government file.
it isn't
even they aren't that incompetent
Well fuck I wish I knew there was a Jow Forumsommando here, I've been at CER for 3 years now
You're retarded. Get off of Jow Forums
where can I find ones that haven't been defiled by the judeo-bolshevik beast?
i have a RC where all the German insignias were left on, all parts matching, 1938, should have came with front side hood but didn't, cleaning rod can't go in all the way for some reason.
>Retarded
>Get off Jow Forums
Enjoy sitting in the Malaysian goat cheese collecting forum by yourself, then.
Well then thanks for nothing.
No you actually dont. You dont get surplus 5.45 or bakelites either
Well when you decide you want to stop speaking in code, and speak in complete sentences about your AK-74 build, then great.
Until then, nice DEWAT and LARP
how new are you around here to doubt the guy who has literally posted webms of full auto fire before
So are swiss arms and CZkill in canada now ?
Patrician taste in soups, molefag
probably so new that he hasn't seen them
no
What part of you dont get this in Canada do you not get?
Ahhh right. So you are not in Canada, or from Canada.
then why do you keep shitting up our threads.
