Poorfags have rights too.
1000 rounds into one of their cheapest uppers and it’s working great. shoots 1 MOA out to 150
Only poorfags complain about “wasting money” on milspec parts that aren’t even that expensive
>1 MOA in a PSA non-free float
Dumbass
It may be for poorfags but that's a good thing. Arms for the masses.
Also it's far from the worst.
Remember the Bushmaster Carbon 15?
Radical Firearms?
Hesse/Vulcan?
Not to mention literally hundreds of sketchy mystery meat gun show companies cranking together god knows what out of parts from god knows where.
PSA is like Costco pizza. Dirt cheap, not stellar but acceptable. Good option if something cheap is called for.
I would like you better without the tripcode
.6in group at 100yds. sorry that your gucci shit doesn’t make up for shitty technique.
that being said i have a rainer match barrel on another upper and it’s much better in every way
Uh huh
>hey Mom I got one .6” group at 100yds that means my raifu is 1 moa right?
“Dumbass
Meh, I was able to build a first AR for
no but shooting 230/250 in a varmit match does
go clean your gun and practice some more
>no but shooting 230/250 in a varmit match does
No, it doesn’t. People like you are exactly why people hate on PSA
>Comparable in every way to any other basic bitch at around the $500 ballpark
>Widely available in a vast assortment of configurations and various states of completion
If they get people shooting who wouldn't be shooting otherwise, who cares? Shoot out the PSA barrel and replace it with a match grade barrel later, wear out the BCG and put in a NiB carrier, swap the no-name furniture with a better brand, drop in a 3.0 trigger when the milspec one snaps. It's not meant to compete with a $3k gun because it's not a$3k gun
daily reminder no one cares about your opinion
t.fag who buys stuff from Palmetto
this guy gets it
Whatever.
Mine works fine, but I buy based on positive reviews and not specific brands. Must be miserable tethered to a certain brand
Yes it does. 9 ring is 1 inch. Also shot a few others ok with that upper. Trust me I hate those faggots that post 3 random bullet holes next to each other and say ".25 MOA" but for most people PSA stuff shoots better than they can.
It's great entry level stuff.
Also the most embarrassing shit in the world is owning a gucci gun and not being able to shoot it well. Far worse than a kid with a PSA rifle.
Dude, as baby's first rifle it is AWESOME.
>Parts kit for $300 and lower for $40
>Watch Youtube videos and assemble it yourself and learn the inner workings of the AR-15 before you even start shooting.
>$340 out the door plus shipping/transfer fees.
>Only thing missing at this point is a rear sight.
>Buy a cheap one for less than $20.
>$360 total gets you a shootable rifle.
>As a home defense weapon, you don't need uber accuracy and won't care if it gets confiscated as evidence.
>As a truck gun you won't weep if it gets stolen from the vehicle. (Side note: Lock your fucking car doors in public retards.)
>As a first AR-15, you can run it rough, bump-fire it, drag it through carbine courses and if it breaks you won't cry like you just lost a safe-queen.
>Can shoot cheap ammo bought in bulk through your cheapo rifle and not worry about an overpressure round fucking destroying your $2000 safe queen.
>Most newbs are prone to doing stupid shit anyways.
>Most people will customize the SHIT out of their AR-15 anyways with new grips, triggers, stocks, rails, optics iron sights, it makes a great starting point.
No it doesn’t. You don’t have a 1 moa gun
You can just not buy their products and not care, like an adult.
Apparently you've never seen Hesse AR-15s if you think PSA are the worst.
But then he can't shriek and whine about it like a gigantic toddler, whatever will he do without that?
I have plenty. And the PSA upper is on one of them. Just because it's cheap doesn't mean you can't make it shoot well.
>non free float rail
>1 moa
You’re still on this?
it's free floated and it's 1 moa
Why do you care so much? Are you a self-hating poorfag or something?
My PSA lower is just fine. Why pay more for a different roll mark?
No its not
Stop being poor. Nobody cares.
>OP makes thread calling out poorfags
>”stop being poor”
Imagine being this retarded
Daily reminder shilling in the opposite direction still makes you a shill. Also daily reminder rule #3 is in effect for every board that isn't /b/
go back to arg where you belong larper
PSA is milspec.
Sup OP
No it’s not
Sup pussy
worst OP, worst bait thread, sag ed
This is the truth.
Also, stop taking the bait, son.
I like my PSA rifle and you can't stop me.
>1 MOA out to 150
Prety sure you don't know what MOA is.
ITT
I read this as saying a 1.5" group at 150. Maybe his optics don't allow him to hold better groups further and they open up? When using irons I'll stay at about 2-3 inches all day at 100, take it out to 200 and it's more like 8-10.
How could he? OP is a 21yo boomer
I traded a PSA rifle kit and basic bitch stripped lower for pic related.
The lower wasnt even built and the guy had $530 marked on the norinco. It's in nice shape, havent shot it though.
I have other ARs and wanted something different.
>mil spec
>thinking that’s good
Ah, the ARG warriors are here
I know this thread is bait but to anyone here who seriously thinks PSA's AR parts are trash, they're not. They simply sell parts that vary in quality to accommodate different budgets. Want a $400 parts kit that will work flawlessly for the average person? They have that. Want mil-spec parts that will last longer and hold up better to abuse? They have that as well. I built my AR 15 with all PSA parts and haven't had any issues. I just made sure the parts I purchased were up to mil-spec par, i.e.:
Upper and lower are forged 7075 T6
Charging handle is 7075 T6
Buffer tube is 7075-T6 6 position mil-spec diameter with dry film lube
Full auto profile BCG is chrome lined and has 158 steel shot peened bolt hpt/mpi, grade 8 properly staked gas key bolts and bla bla you know the rest
Standard mil-spec trigger group and lpk
Barrel is 16" 4150v chrome moly with m4 gas system(over-gassed I know but it's fine for now) chrome lined chamber and barrel, 1/7 rifling twist, standard A2 flash hider
And finally went with a basic Magpul CTR stock and ergo pistol grip
So I didn't go with the bottom of the barrel priced parts but I was able to purchase all these parts for under $700 and have a rifle that's pretty damn close to mil-spec quality. How can you beat that?? Oh, and I put more money into magazines and ammo than I did the rifle, which is how it should be. Only other thing I should have is a nice optic like a Trijicon ACOG or a EOTech but that'll be addressed when I get over the price shock of said optics.
Palmetto actually makes their own stuff, BCM never has made a single item.
PSA doesnt make their parts they buy from other companies and put their logo on it.
There's nothing magical that goes into making an AR sub MOA. It just isn't typical for a cheap PSA upper and the accuracy is accidental. I'd say to expect 2-3 MOA if you find a load the barrel likes
Imagine being a large name arms manufacturer that lost ties to the military and has to go back to sucking civilian cock. Now Imagine you are so out of touch with reality and your consumer base that you need to hire "persuasion media specialty" firms to go astroturf against PSA.
There it is.
BCM CEO pls go
Just accept that people aren't all as fucking retarded as you, bud.
Now go cry in the corner about wasting thousands on a boring rifle you'll never actually put to the test.
>I don’t know you or anything about your rifle, but it sucks because you didn’t spend as money as me.
You are what’s wrong with the gun community. Or any community for that matter.
Some day you’ll grow up and realize that nobody else cares how much your sneakers cost.
milspec is milspec doesnt matter if its 300 dollars or 3000 same shit different brand
PSA ARs are the nuggets of this decade
a few years ago on Jow Forums we didnt consider people who had nuggets as hasguns, its just switched over to PSAs now
theyll blow up after about 500 rounds anyway so its not really that big of a deal, over time people will realize what theyre paying for
>PSA
>Milspec
Palmetto Shill leave.
Wrong. They own several machine shops, and a forge.
Troll thread? It's among the better entry ar15 sellers
spent time finding factory ammo the upper likes. Most ammo was 4-5moa. Found some 75 grain hornady and 77 grain stuff that shoots well.
When the barrel gets hot, or without consistent cleaning, the groups really start to open up. Hot barrel is around 2 inches at 100yds, and when it gets dirty it drifts left.
Here's what it looks like slow fired at 100. only have a 4x optic on it. Bottom right target is sighting target.
Daily reminder PSA is based AF, makes their own shit in America and hates leftists.
>this faggot isn’t old enough to remember eagle and DPMS
AHAHAHAHA underaged&
Idiot
I have a PSA AR10 and a PSA 1911
I like the 1911 less now than I used to, but still like my AR10.
I only messed with the CHF/premium stuff, my upper was made by anchor harvey, the barrel by FN and also hear the premium bcg are FN, never heard of them having their own forge though, heard they outsourced from aero, toolcraft and other manufacturers.
>BCM CEO pls go
i think half of /arg/ works for bcm
the other half works for aimpoint
and i dont blame them. shits good bruh.
how many threads do we have from BCM, DD, whoever mid to higher end manufacturer asserting the quality of their stuff
now how many threads a day in defense of PSA
>now how many threads a day in defense of PSA
Zero. Anons only post about how their PSA is fine and thousands of rounds in or shoots MOA.
>how many threads do we have from BCM, DD, whoever mid to higher end manufacturer asserting the quality of their stuff
Literally every other post.
If 'rich'fags who spend top dollar on their AR really want to prove it they should just buy a shitty 300 dollar psa upper to beat to hell and post results instead of speculating.
Sage this shit. Please just ruin the ARG with this kind of bickering.
They outsource a lot, but make their own rails, barrels, and bcg's for the standard line stuff. Alot of the premium stuff is outsourced.
>bickering
I dont think you understand the meaning of the word
>psa a shit
>psa isnt a shit
>psa a shit it only lasts 170 rounds
>psa isnt a shit mines got 8k rounds
>psa a shit 2moa
>psa isnt a shit mine shoots .6moa
Bickering
>1. argue about petty and trivial matters.
Poorfag here.
>Buy complete upper with free floating rail
>Free floating rail starts free floating away from the receiver 200 rounds in.
>shipped without the locking tab whatnot that is supposed to be sandwiched in the rail clamp. pic related
>"yo PSA, you shipped my shit with a missing piece, a really important piece"
>"my bad poorfag user, here is a UPS prepaid label, just send it back and we'll take care of it"
>AR out of commission for two weeks
>get upper back
>piece still missing
>whatthefuck
>"oh yea, our bad bro, we got a cease and desist letter for that piece so we kind of like, just tightened it up for ya"
PSA, not even once.
You probably wouldnt like my "build"
In building an AR15 and being on a budget you have two options. You can:
>Buy the cheapest shit (like PSA) and in the end have a mediocre rifle with stupid issues like
>Save your money for longer and wait for pieces to go on sale while putting off instant gratification to build a superior product
I get that many of you want to be "has gunz" as quickly as possibly but extending your build time for a few more months will make you much happier in the end.
This mirrors my experience in some ways. PSA shipped me a $400 upper kit with a broken CH and missing rear sight. They wouldn't respond to phone calls or support tickets, so I finally made made post on the AR15 forums and got a reply.
They mailed me another cheap CH, but still, no rear MBUS sight. It's been two months now and I'M STILL WAITING on it. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Daily reminder that this is not true
If you buy PSA you'd better hope that your crap gets shipped in good condition because if it's missing anything or anything is damaged you are SOL.
>If you buy PSA you'd better hope that your crap gets shipped in good condition because if it's missing anything or anything is damaged you are SOL.
I really wish I had known that before I ordered. My neighbor bought this exact same 16" MLOK Freedom upper kit and it's been great for him, so I figured it wouldn't be the worst thing I could do. I hadn't counted on the atrocious customer service and QC.
Why don’t you like the 1911?
i guess everyone has an opinion be cause the one time i had to use psa CS, they were very helpful. of course, this was a few years ago and only one time. YMMV i guess
i disagree. like one guy above said, order a lower and a complete rifle kit. then put it together yourself, learn to shoot, and learn what you like and dislike. and fix your own shit if it breaks, or replace it with nicer stuff.
you get more out of a $300 rifle and 2000rnds of ammo, and $500 of upgrades/fixes than some DD bullshit.
>learn what you like
>build another gun how you want.
when i was broke i had a cheap AR, then bought a lower and upper for cheap, a nice barrel, bolt, and trigger
poor
My SBR is off a PSA 'Blem' lower.
they do make their own parts, BCM doesn't make a single item.
Giving a shit about .223/5.56 caliber rifles... Buy a real rifle caliber you pleb.
