Armslist, just sell them quick cheap and easy, unless you want one for one reason
How much did you pay for them?
put them up on armslist, you'll probably make a little more overall if you get mags for them first
Email me and I'll buy the sterling
about 120 before the 30 dollar transfer for the three
duly noted
I will send hit you up but the sterling is so far the one I like the most
Raven mags are like 10-15 max. Can't remember sterling off the top of my head but a little pricier.
P-25 would be worth a little more as a SNS collectible but it's in shit condition. I mean really with a mag and working I would pay like $50 for the MP25, $65 for the P-25 if I really wanted them, and I've got a slew of them. But some urbanites will give you a good $100 for 'em apiece if you get a mag with it. Sterling in that condition I'd rate about $75-80, if it had a mag and in nicer condition it would be worth around $125. But $150 for the three is not a bad deal, I horde these types of guns just because I can.
good to know. the sterling has a bit of finish issues, but mechanically it is golden. good to know on the ravens as well!
You'd be making pretty slim profit margins on the guns, I'd honestly function test them and save them for a friend or family member who needs to borrow a gun or bury them somewhere for some SHTF scenario.
I have enough guns for lending to people closet to me, but good to know.
this might be a dumb question, but can a raven mag work in a sterling?
Should, might need a little tweaking. Here's an old forum post about a Raven 15 round extendo that was modified to work in a Jennings but would also work in a Sterling/Galesi. Galesi mags will work too since the Sterling is a post-GCA copy of it.

Sterlings will usually have those issues. Quality was not very good coming out of the factory, plus alloys can tarnish poorly over the years under the right environment. I have 40 year old Ravens that look pristine and late production ones that look like horse shit.
You planning on robbing da licka sto' or something Jamal?
needed a boot carry for the motorcycle and pocket carry and .25 auto is c o m f
thanks for the info! I had a bauer .25 and it was honestly the biggest piece of shit I have ever owned. who knows, I might keep one of the ravens, but why is the p25 worth more than the mp25?
P25 is the older model. Assuming it's an Industry CA gun but you could add more money if it's Baldwin Hills.
it is an industry gun, they both are
I'd hold on to them at least for a little bit. They are fun to collect and the ATF does monitor SNS transfers and may stop by if they see 3 SNS that transferred out from an online sale.
what do you mean by that? Am I not allowed to sell my own personal property if I so desire?
Go with a Colt Vest Pocket or pretty much anything not made out of zamak.
sterling is still steel, why I probably will keep it.
I'm just pointing out they do actually go and use the Multiple Sales form when you transfer multiple pistols. Multiple SNS are very likely to cause an ATF or CLEO knock and talk as members of
bryco-jennings-jimenezarms.com
have often pointed out. Caveat venditor
Well two or more handguns bought from the same FFL within a business week's period has to be filed on a form and sent to CLEO and ATF. That's why I tend to not buy a bunch of these things at once, even if I can get them cheap, because it's a pain in the ass for the FFL to do the additional paperwork.
fuck that is bullshit. god damn police auctions with killer deals. I mean I buy and sell guns pretty regularly, but this is gay.
Yes, this too. I've never been visited but have done multiple purchases of handguns a few times. Did three one time, but it was a great deal where I got two hi points (both nickel plated slides) and a rusty FN 1910/22 for $250 OTD. Couldn't turn that down. FN was just surface rust and had eagle marks so easily worth more than that in today's market.
I didn't even know Sterling was a ring of fire gun company.
But you can rack up at gun shows because you could purchase one from each dealer ... and usually someone from the ATF is walking around, usually undercover, spend enough time at one and you'll be able to point 'em out. Sometimes they'll run a counter too but that's rarer because of the money involved to set up shop.
>tfw had an ATF agent follow me around at a gun show a few years ago because I had bought multiple small pistols for my collection
>mfw only found out about this because I legit thought the guy was following me to rob me, went to one of the cops at the event (who I know from the gun store/range), and then the guy flashed his little boy badge and started hee hawing
>we all got a good laugh out of it but Mr. ATF was butthurt that he spent an hour following around an Autistic Pocket Pistol Collector instead of an actual trafficker
Sterling was out of New York so it's not Ring of Fire. Ring of Fire were companies situated in California, pretty much all of them owned by a member or friend of the Jennings family. Paul Jimenez (owner of Jimenez Arms) was the Jennings foreman and outbid an antigun group for the molds and tooling of Jennings during the bankruptcy auction. Antigun group was going to melt everything down and he got everything for like $600k.
Even my LGS has had a few Phoenixes. Were they around at the same time? How did Sterling go under?
History on Sterling: weaponsman.com
Phoenix bought Raven tooling/equipment.
Cobra bought Lorcin and Davis tooling/equipment
Phoenix started out making Ravens but nowadays (to my knowledge) they just make the HP22/HP25 guns and have stopped their Raven production. I could be wrong on that though. There was also Sedco at one point, which made a copy of the J-22 that sucked. AMT is often put into the Ring of Fire category but they were doing interesting things with Stainless Steel when nobody else was.
that's genuinely horrifying
>tfw local gun show is full of fudds
>atf has their own table
>they do background checks for private transfers
GOVERNMENT GET OUT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
ATF IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>AMT is often put into the Ring of Fire category but they were doing interesting things with Stainless Steel when nobody else was.
My OMC Backup has been bulletproof. Heavy as a fuckin' rock, too. Perfect killing machine.
my experience with the bauer has permanently tainted my view on stainless steel guns. I am so jaded from wicked galling.
Tbqh that's a good thing so long as it's not compulsory. I don't mind selling a gat to the rare law-abiding melanin enriched gentleman, but I want to confirm that he actually dindu nuffin before I do.
I live in denver, there's like 5 black people here. frankly, I don't care who I sell a gun too. I am cool with running a background on the guy, but I don't want to have to be forced to do it.
Most of the fudds at the shows I go to want to see GWCL's (georgia concealed carry) to sell you any kind of gun. Funny cause at the last show I ran into some black guys from Atlanta, you know the type.
>came down with a ton of money to "arm up" as he told me
>nobody will sell them shit
>all they've found is a sporter Mosin Nagant, a 7mm Mauser Sporter, a tacticool SKS, and a fucking Nagant Revolver
>they had no idea where to get 7mm mauser ammo, so I gave them a website and they thanked me "for being cool"
I'd like to think somewhere in an Atlanta Ghetto some guy is riding dirty with a fucking 7mm Mauser, probably cut down into a pistol at this point.
>thinking that they're going to use that thing for anything other than staging a home invasion and getting better gats
that made me kek harder than it should have
>yo tyrone, set sights for 650 meters my negra
