Gun noises in movies

No funs here.

Do guns actually make the constant clicking noises they do in movies? Like they go to raise their gun and it just makes all these little clicks and rattles, or is it just a movie and game thing? its all I notice in gun fights in movies now.

Yep my guns do that all the time. My kitchen knives also make a *SHIIIING* sound when I bring them out.

No.

No.

Movies do it cause they think it sounds intimidating.
In real life it might happen if you have a sling on the rifle but it would not be very loud.

My unloaded glock will only rattle the firing pin, but when it's loaded it makes zero noise when shaken at all. Maybe an AK would but other than that I don't think any gun will rattle that much

This.
All the fucking time. No matter where your knives are, in the drawer, on the table, doesn't matter. It's always that damn "SHIIIING" when you pick them up.
That light flash that sometimes comes up as well isn't very helpful either when trying to make a sandwich in the middle of the night-

Slings and loose parts will sometimes rattle. Not like in movies. 90% of the time you can't hear anything.

was watching heat the other day and a guy pulls the slide back 1/2 inch to see if it's loaded and when he closes it it makes the sound of a pump shotgun

My Glock always makes a hammer cocking sound when I draw it. Just my experience, could be only certain Glocks that have ghost hammers.

You have to put the selector in "Mexican Standoff" first.
