Is 5.45x39 too weak? People constantly give 5.56 shit and it has about 23% less energy than that.

Goddamnit, someone smarter than you created that round. Trust in them to have done the math. I'm not an engineer, but I know engineers are so goddamn autistic, they must know what they're talking about.
It's bullet construction fixes some of the issues, it has a "air gap" in the nose so when it strikes a object the lead flows towards the nose. This makes the bullet tumble in the body, which does horrific damage, so much so that the Muj in Afghanistan called the 5.45x39mm the "poison bullet".
your looking at commercial under loaded ratings senpai
modern 7n10 5.45 is better than 5.56
They're both too "weak", and they both utilize clever engineering to compensate while maintaining the light weight, low recoil properties they we're invented for.
taking a direct hit from 5.45 will be a life changing event regardless if you live or not
this, in texas all centerfire cartridges are legal for deer hunting, i shot a doe with 5.45x39mm 7n6, completely mangled the lungs and heart, she died within 20 seconds and ran maybe 10 meters
>Soviets
>smart
>tried to rip off 5.56 but couldn't even figure out what made it so effective creating a shit non expanding round
>horrific damage
Hydrostatic shock is massively overrated
7N10 is just 3 grains heavier than 7N6 with the same velocity.
you tell me
That's just because Texas deer are weak. I'm from Wisconsin and I shot a buck with my M82, he shrugged it off and fucked my wife while I watched helplessly
5.56 is more powerful, the commercial ammo available for 5.45 is severely underloaded so any advantages it might have, is with ammo that is unavailable to the U.S market
in other words it's a shit

>king a direct hit from 5.45 will be a life changing event regardless if you live or not
na, no it wont.
>compares 5.45 to the oldest shittiest 5.56 available
Nah but 5.56 still shits on 5.45.
>Goddamnit, someone smarter than you created that round. I'm not an engineer, but I know engineers are so goddamn autistic, they must know what they're talking about.
An engineer also made this.
No, it's fine. It tumbles instead of fragmenting like the 5.56.
It's better out of a short barrel than the 5.56, since the 5.56 requires high velocity to fragment, whereas the 5.45 tumbles instead.
it's 5.56 tier. I think 7.62 is a better option, simply because BDCs can largely negate it's greatest shortcoming (drop).
If you're not strong enough to carry a lot of ammo weight than it might be a good choice.
That bullet went through him on an angle. Look closer. The entry is through the neck. Not what it appears.
no it's 100fps faster
>7n10 3150fps
>7n6 3050fps
>good quality commercial 2950 fps 60gr 2750 69gr
this, it went mostly through skin and not muscle tissue, 5.56 or 7.62x39mm performs the same here
>Trusting the educated
We're not fucking liberals.
It's all bullet design. Any well designed bullet of any caliber will tumble in flesh. Golden tiger in 762 does the same shit.
It's effective and useful but not unique to 5.45
No none of those calibers are too weak. If you can't kill with those then you should kys.
t.someone who has killed hundreds of animals with guns
Seriously people who debate calibers on the internet are the most retarded people on the planet.
yes but it won't tumble/fragment in like 5 inches of thin skin
And I bet he was on a shit load of acid when he designed it too.
7.62x39 has how much more energy than 5.56? Like 20%?
Damn must be a big energy difference between 7.62x39 and 5.45
5.56 and 5.45 are around 1200lbs of energy
7.62x39 is 1500 to 1750
