I love FDE, but the Glock 19x's finish on the slide looks like ass. I handled one in my LGS and I chose a two-tone G19 instead.

The Rami is a strange gun. It's heavy and should hold 1-2 more rounds due to its size. I would highly recommend the p-01 compact instead of the Rami. If you want a full finger grip on the Rami you need to use the extended mag it comes with, and at that point it's the same grip length as the p-01. If you don't mind a 2 finger grip then go with the Rami

Fired a USP compact in 9mm. I liked t but I found it to have quite a bit of muzzle flip for a 9mm. Then again I’m not very experienced - can it be overcome with training? I really want to like this gun. Also should I consider LEM? I know all about the system but don’t have one to try out - any thought?

The bomar rear sight will poke holes in your clothes. Other than that just be cognizant that you’ll need to wipe it down every night with an oily rag. Try to get one of the older ones with the single hole trigger - far more ‘sthetic

Lipsey's doesn't sell to the public afaik, they're a distributor. Sometimes where possible they'll contract an exclusive color from a manufacturer (they do this with Ruger a lot) but most of the time distributor exclusives are just painted guns, not factory colors.
Most of it. If you're putting guts n a decocker, good luck, use the guide pin and do it in an enclosure so you don't loose the multiple tiny springs (especially the god damn lifter spring). I'd have said to save money and skip 80% of the kit, but at least you're doing it yourself instead of paying them $200, so kudos.

Yes, it'll lessen as you learn how to grip the gun without anticipating recoil, but other guns are less flippy from the start. The USP full size has a double recoil spring to help that.
I don't like LEM but you should try it and see if you do. It's basically the feel of the single action, with a double action length.

Safety model with the sear you have to hand fit? In general you're gonna have to drive out the trigger pin and disassemble the sear cage/fcu and pull out the safety and all that shit. Been a while since i did mine. Be careful and go slow, particularly on the sear fitting. Expect the sear to wear in a little past where you leave it. Left mine with a hair of positive hammer engagement which slowly became neutral after several hundred rounds. FYI the safety will no longer function in the same manner and can only be activated when at half cock. Oh, and don't be an idiot like me and accidentally miss a herculean swing with your punch and severely gouge the gun. You'll feel bad afterwards and have to keep telling yourself "at least it was just an old surplus model".

The proper way. The way it was done for the M9A3, G19X, newest Golt Rail Gun and FNX 45 Tactical: an ackchyually ACKCHYUAL solid bespoke cast polymer (or anodized) FDE frame and a PVD or slide. Not painted black plastic and painted melonite.
The downside to that is the horrible color mismatching of every single component to every single other component.

The USP is a fairly muzzle-flippy gun, it's meant to tame hot high pressure ammo, not plink or run sweet splits.
The USPc comes into its own as a .357sig and the full size is best as a .40 or .45

LEM is absolutely fantastic for carry, but might not be your ideal range gun trigger. I love it but many people find it to be just too different.
