Shooting with no eyes open is the way to go.
You've just got to shoot with your heart.
Luke Nelson
One eye only.
t. I am a pirate.
Easton Rivera
I shoot with both eyes open. I don't know why, I just do. It's how I've always done it.
Blake Barnes
To actually answer seriously I sometimes close my eye for a few seconds to get more sight-dominant, but after that both open. Usually just both open to begin with.
Jackson Cooper
I do this too. Or squint my non dominate eye so its not completely closed
Jeremiah Taylor
I shoot with both eyes open. I started doing it when I got into handgun shooting and I had to train myself to do it. It feels natural now and now I do it with everything except sometimes when using a magnified optic. I did it because of the supposed benefits of having a full field of view but what I really like about it is that it just feels more comfortable or natural to shoot since I'm not having to constantly keep one eye shut.
That's exactly what I did to get myself used to it or when I was losing focus with both eyes fully open. I also focused on the target, then brought up the sights, and then brought the focus to the front sight. After awhile I no longer had to squint my non-dominant eye to regain focus.

Alright Idris Elba.
Kayden Robinson
I close both
its in allas hands after I pull the trigger!
Brandon Long
No
AK irons
Luke Reed
>irons
Shoot with one eye open
>optics
Shoot with both eyes open
Every other answer is incorrect
Isaiah Sullivan
I use both because it's correct but I need to try one more often as my astigmatism is getting worse.
Zachary Perez
Arghhh
Adam Sanders
One, because cross-eye dominant.
Kayden Barnes
I shoot red dots with both eyes open and irons/magnified optics with one eye. Something about both gives me serious double vision if I try both eyes open.
Andrew Bennett
I thought it would be the other way around??
Doesn't having both eyes open while looking through an optic be annoying because the differences in the images you see don't match??
Anthony Garcia
Not that user, but we were taught to keep both eyes open while using the ACOG so that we didn't get tunnel vision during a firefight. Looking through an optic narrows your field of view significantly, so keeping your non-dominant eye open ensured that you could see movement outside of your optic view and adjust accordingly. It takes some practice but after a while you don't even notice the disparity.
Anthony Ramirez
This. Fucking kill me.
Owen King
Both because it's what Mel Gibson told me to do.
Owen Hill
with rifles, do whatever works best for you. but if you don't shoot pistols with both eyes open there's something wrong with you
Hunter Gutierrez
When did Walter White use an M4?
Jayden Green
No because I'm not a tacfag and cross-eye dominant.
Julian Jones
I aquire targets with boths eyes then close one when I shoot. My eyes are cross retarded.
Thomas Ross
No. Because it's pointless.
Carter Morgan
Both eyes open. Greater FOV and easier to use in high stress situations. Closing one eye doesn't always happen naturally when you're full of adrenaline.
Jack Green
Took it from Tuco.
Elijah Foster
Michael Richardson
both eyes open. My dad told me the good shooters shoot with both eyes open when I was 6. I have ever since.
Adam Fisher
Trips of truth.
Thank you for showing me the way user.
Lincoln James
I try, but I don't seem to have a dominant eye. When I shoot with my left eye, something in my brain interprets my gun's sights as a visual obstruction and I predominantly process my right eye's field of view and can barely "see" what my left eye is looking at and vice versa.
>so I just shoot with an eye closed until I become brave enough to wear an eye patch to the range.
Asher Cox
I shoot with my left eye closed and my right eye open, my left eye always fucks me over with my accuracy
John Wilson
I use one eye with long range scopes only. It gives me a clearer picture and more focus on the target.
