Jow Forums, we need to talk. On this board, misuse of the word fudd has become completely out of hand. For those who don't know, a fudd is a gun owner who believes guns are nothing more than hunting tools. A fudd is NOT:
>a person who likes bolt actions >a person who likes wooden stocks >a person who likes 1911s >a person who likes revolvers >a person who disagrees with your opinion >a person who has a misconception about guns
The word was created because it served an important linguistic purpose: to identify and shame political traitors within our ranks. By beating the word out of its original meaning, you make it impossible to for the word to serve that purpose. You are doing as much harm to the cause of the 2nd Amendment as actual fudds.
should we really enable fudds by condoning conversation about their weapons? that's like encouraging democrats to vote because it's part of 'democracy'
basically the whole i disagree but i defend your right to say it thing.
Nolan Murphy
>their weapons That is a fundamental misconception you have. There is no such thing as a fudd weapon. Being a fudd is a mentality, not a type of weapon. This guy's name became synonymous with being a fudd.
Thank you for posting this The people who shit all over 1911's, revolvers, bolt guns and wood stocks are faggy tactical larpers who are just as bad as actual fudds

I think I'm being harassed by a fudd who comes up to my property line then fires a single shot, big caliber, big boom, then drives off before I can get out of my house and down to see what's going on. One time it even rattled my windows. Send help.
Jackson Ortiz
That shit ain't funny. Don't mess around, put a stop to it.
Get some cheap cameras, trail cams or wireless security cams or whatever. If you can establish a pattern you can go out to meet him (don't get shot, duh) or just show the footage to the cops.
Aaron Clark
Eh, only happens every few months. I met an old homeless vet in my neck of the woods who was similarly ran off his own property by a corner shooting fudd and even had the local county judge threaten to kill him. Must be some sort of old boy club intimidation thing.
I'm considering ordering a trail cam and putting it in the national forest nearby, but really am just hoping to catch this chump and call him a yokel or other mean names. Thats as far as that plan goes.
It's the first letter of a sentence. Of course it should be capitalized.

shut up fudd

this
Fudds originally were faggots who say "i only need a wooden stock bolt action rifle for hunting we need to ban these scary black assault rifles" they usually help the grabbers write legislation since they're the only grabbers that have an idea of how guns work.
Adrian Harris
Words evolve bro. Fudd means something entirely different now.
As for political traitors, we just call them faggots now. A far more fitting and accurate term than a cartoon character.
Lucas Lopez
>Fudd means something entirely different now. No, fudd means NOTHING now because you people use it for EVERYTHING. Words are useful because they have narrowly defined meanings. When you use them carelessly, you lose the ability to communicate.
>As for political traitors, we just call them faggots now. So instead of describing them accurately, you just use a crude grunt of disapproval.
OP is right. the defining trait of a fudd is they don’t believe in 2a >don’t need no plastic 17rnd handgun >don’t need no pistol grip on rifle >what are you gonna use a suppressor for >no point in a barrel under 16 inches anyway >gun registration is ok if you don’t have any scary guns
Connor Young
What is the word we use for old boomer stereotypes? >muh 1911 >muh stoppin power >"what if they're on drugs" >reeeee plastic >gun myths passed on via the song of their grandfathers
Kayden Rogers
That is literally exactly what he said, you fucking dunce.
Anthony Wood
Yes

None of those are unique to any age demographic, and all but the last are legitimate concerns. Let me go down the list. >There are many young people, including me, who genuinely like 1911s and find them to be enjoyable to shoot. We also recognize that they are quite functional as weapons, made no less so by the age of their design. >Nobody sincerely denies that stopping power exists. The only disagreement is on what constitutes it and how much of it is necessary. >People do fucked up shit when they're on drugs. Ask anybody who has ever spent considerable time in a poor neighborhood. >Plastic is not all created equal. There are cheap, shitty plastic guns parts and high quality, expensive plastic gun parts. Cheap plastic will melt when it gets too hot and shatter when it gets too cold. It also bends and vibrates excessively under recoil.

If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.
