If the Domestic parts were made in house by century, good luck with your new hand grenade!

>century

If the feedramp is w shaped and not v shaped, you’re fine.

Usually I hear one or two things about a gun, or a few “yahbuts”, but seriously, I hear nothing but people shitting on this gun whenever it comes up. Pretty much it’s only use is for LARPing with live rounds and not expecting to hit anything.

I was deeply dissapointed by my Century C308, I wish I had gone with a PTR. I feel your experience would be similar with that FAL

*One or two good things

Get any DSA but the voyager, or whatever one is the cast receiver, instead.

Ive been debating a ptr, but that 500-600 century c308 is tempting. I already have a DSA fal build

why should i?

Bitch you think if I had the money I wouldn't buy something other than century

Why not put that money towards something not Century?

>century arms FAL
you mean century arms FAIL

Guy wants $900 for it but but he said he'd trade for a shitty dpms AR and a basic marlin 1895 in 45-70 I have
What do you think?

How much for OP? I have a century R1A1 built from an Aussie parts kit and have had zero issues with it, they contract out other companies to build their receivers, just make sure all the internals are from a parts kit and you should be GTG since the only thing century did was assemble it.

$900 but I'd be a trade see Also he said he'd let me shoot the rifle before we trade so assuming the rifle ran good would it be worth it?

Fuck me this was a reply for

Is say so, mine runs flawlessly and has the dreaded “unibrow” receiver cut. The widows peak is preferred though. What model FAL is it? I spent about 1K on mine after taxes and it came with 2 mags.

Mine has been flawless. Then again I haven’t tested it’s accuracy other than a red dot. But I can nail a 10in plate 200yds no problem. It’s a bit picky with cheap steel case.

R1a1 sporter
You said check if the internals were from a parts kit, what do I need to look for?

Nice, you’ll notice stampings on the bolt and the carrier for it, anything like crossed flags, or EN for enfield is good, the serials will looked etched in, and a little rough. Those are the inspection markings from the factories that made the L1A1 parts.

Different user, but here is good info on fal receivers by century. You are mainly looking for receiver made by certain places. You can easily snag a low cost awesome fal just because it has century on it. Just look at this thread of people quickly wanting to just get on the century bash meme and parroting it over and over but don’t know of the hidden gems.

Appreciate it a lot guys but I'm going to sleep now so this thread will probably die with me if theres anything else I should know or look out for please let me know, again thanks.

Why can't you just wait till you have more money and buy something nice. You're like my little brother when he was a kid. He'd get 10 bucks in his hand and he'd turn it into quarters to blow on vending machines and shit within an hour.

Are you the guy from FB?

b-but muh wasr

You could get a Century FAL with a Imbel or coonan receiver. Hesse sucks ass though.

wasr is imported not made by century
>Christ how hard is it to research this

Hijacking this thread to ask. Is 950 a good deal for a DSA SA58? Or should I just save my cash for something else? Pic related is same type with bipod and foregrip.

yes

No

Is DSA as bad as I've heard?
Word on the street is between either "good to go, casting is fine" or "out-of-spec overpriced trash" with not much in between.

I've got a DSA Para 16". It's fucking phenomenal. Stop believing shit some fudd says on FALfiles so you can buy his "builds". People on Jow Forums talk shit because they can't afford it or they're stuck with shit rifles like G3 clones.

Depending on the FAL it could be a good one. Early ones were IMBEL and Argentinean built. Late ones have recievers that were built under contract by other companies. Some of them better than others. I have a reciever built by Caspian Arms and is nice. It has the unibrow pattern feed ramp but it works great. Inspect the gun before you buy it. Hope this helps man.
