Quads are, unfortunately, true. Houstonfag here, we have the absolute best food in the whole damn country here, and a few decent gun stores and ranges, but traffic is an absolute nightmare. I commute to alvin for school, and while it normally takes me around 45 minutes to get home, that time doubles during rodeo season. San Antonio is pretty cool, the river walk is fuckin gorgeous. definitely visit the Alamo, it’s like your baptism for integrating into Texas.

Austin is an unfortunately liberal city, but the city itself has many beautiful areas, including ladybird lake and Hamilton pool.

Eat some whataburger, drink Dr Pepper, shoot your guns, tailgate at football games, and never forgot that god has blessed you with the chance of living in a state that’s smart enough to keep its hands off your rights. EVERY chance you get, vote to keep it that way.

Native Texan here who visited San Antonio last weekend. The Alamo was cool and all, but if you want to see a really nice mission, go see the Mission San Jose just down the road. Its in perfect condition and really cool to walk around. Might as well see Mission Conception too, which has a large and rather impressive church.

I really enjoyed San Antonio. Had a lot of fun and proposed to my girl. Not as many homeless as Austin either, which was nice. Riverwalk was nice for the most part but I kept my head on a swivel due to some of the folks that were around.
