so I remembered the other day about how when I was 12 I used to go along this canal that fishermen would crowd every weekend so after they left I would collect the lead weights they lost, the end result was about 3 pounds of lead every weekend. What I did was smooth out the actual plier part of pic related and drill a hole in the middle of the separation eyeing the drill bit next to a 22lr bullet to get the ((((correct)))) size. After that I would use a butane propane torch to melt down the weights and use the pliers as a cast essentially casting my own 22lr bullets. Here's where things get stupid, I would get strike anywhere matches and shave that shit to use a primer powder, (I had read in an article somewhere about using matches for primers) and I would put that powder with a bit of the striking strip in the rim of a used 22lr case, take apart milsurp 7.62x54r (it was 2003 x54r was still cheap as fuck and a single spam can got me about 16,000 rounds) and used the powder in the round and used a normal 22lr round to somewhat know how much powder to put in. After that I would take my weight cast bullets and seat them in the case(how I did this at 12 I'm still not sure) about two days work got me about 400-500 rounds of 22lr or up to 1,000 depending on how many weights I found, anyway funnily enough, the fucking things worked and my Sears and Roebuck rifle fucking loved the things, rifle probably had about 60,000 of the things through it since I made the things until 54r started getting even slightly more expensive. Anyway the actual question, was this absolutely fucking retarded? Could these "hand loads" destroy the rifle?
TL;DR >I made my own 22lr mini factory when I was 12 >was I stupid?
I did get 2 inch groups and those things hit like a motherfucker.

How often does the Apache gunship actually use hellfire missiles when dealing with insurgents in Iraq/Afghanistan? It’s not like there tanks there that need an ATGM to kill, and with a single Hellfire costing at least $30,000, when would it ever be cost-effective to use one to blow some Hajis out of their cave/mud hut with one instead of using Hydra ?rockets?
I just learned open bolt firearms are not illegal in my country. Given the set of draconian laws we have, I didn't expect this to be a thing.
I'd appreciate it a lot if you could tell me: >which open bolt smg was by far the simplest/cheapest/easiest to manufacture >which open bolt "semiauto only" smg was by far the easiest to turn full auto
Basically I want something I can copy as easily as possible and sell lots of before the government realizes people are turning them into machine guns.

Sten. Pretty much any of them.
Oliver Miller
Thanks, looking into the sten right now.

Anyone used these Northridge K31 chargers / clips?
This is probably my favorite QTDDTOT OP post ever. That's fucking cool.
I don't know about how corrosive strike anywhere match heads would be in your improv primers, but as long as you cleaned it I think you're good. The improvised ammo could have destroyed your rifle if you had fucked up and added way, way, way too much powder or if you had added way too little powder, had a squib, and fired into it, but obviously neither of those things happened. This is kind of inspiring.
Look into the Luty SMG. It's what you want, pretty much exactly. If I recall correctly the original design is full auto, but he wrote a semi auto conversion design as well.
I don't think those were available at the time, the only reason I somewhat knew what to do was because my granddad reloaded 45-70, except unlike me had actual reloading equipment and didn't full on nig rig it.

Somehow I never had squibs I even experimented by pulling a 22 bullet taking out the powder leaving the primer only and loading in an airgun pellet and it worked fine great for shooting in the backyard.
Where may I purchase a nagant revolver and how much should I pay for one? I already know it's going to be pricey regardless.
Joshua Bailey
Skip the steel plates, head to dollar general, pick up some cheap ceramic plates and 3l Shasta cola's.
Evan Hughes
Check armslist frequently and go to gun shows, while there are the POS boomers you occasionally run into the lady who's husband died and happend to want to sell his what do you know it, nagant revolver not even realizing the price it can fetch, it's how I got my SIG P6 a couple years back.
Mason Jones
Thanks, I'll look into that.
Hunter Cruz
ThisExcept duck into pawn shops as well for the same lady. Widows are surprisingly uncaring for their dead spouses possessions.
Michael Cox
A russian one? Not pricey at all Should be anywhere from 100-200 Check local gun stores that specialize in taking in surplus shit, and also check gun shows

I've been told not to put the gas tube lever all the way down like this. is there any reason why, and how much should I push it down to if not all the way?
Anyone recomend a brand of black powder for my Rugar Olf Army? Never shot black powder myself so anyone to hear from yawith experience would be greatful. I have caps and bullets and a measuring deal so other than the powder I should be good to go.
Christopher Hill
Look at the shape of the locking pin when you disassemble next, that should tell you why
Bentley Bell
I think it's very obvious where it needs to be...

hunt hog with .308 or 30-30 at 300m?

Considering driving for Uber for extra income at the moment. Currently I just throw my Makarov in my waistband condition fabric 2: electric boogaloo and it works fine for sub-20 minute drives, but I'm thinking if I'm gonna be sitting in a car long term I'll need a different way to carry. Also open carry or car-mounted holster is out of the question since Uber has a no firearms policy (unless exempted by state law, which luckily I am). I'm currently set on: >snub nose 5 shot .357 poorfag special (probably Rossi or EAA) >deep concealment shoulder holster or holster shirt under a button up Pros: >probably quickest draw on any threat to me coming from driver's side door >gun is out of sight and reach from passengers behind me Cons: >if I'm retarded (which I don't think I am) I could possibly shoot myself in the arm while drawing Looking for other opinions on gun in the sub-300 dollar range, I think the mak might be too large
What's the rules on Meta threads about Jow Forums on Jow Forums? is it supposed to be posted somewhere else or is one thread allowed within the board?
James Harris
.308 definitely, between the flat point of the bullet the soft point of the bullet and the energy loss of 30-30 even at 100M makes it terrible for shots past 150M IMO, 30-30 hits the same energy levels at 100M that x39 hits at the same distance to show you an example. So in short, yeah use .308 it's cheaper and there's not really any reason to choose 30-30.
Lincoln Harris
Not too sure, but to be safe, take it to /qa/ but between either boards I highly doubt anyone will listen or care.
