The UAVs are mostly for recon. The 056s are TASS/VDS nodes with some Yu-11 armament, while the 054As are the helicopter carrying ASW patrol frigates that also have the same sonar suite. The 054As are equipped more with Yu-8 ASROC than with AAW missiles in practize.
