let the gun recoil. focus on recovering a sight picture. dont shoot it like you would with 2 hands where your try your hardest to counteract recoil.
buy a ruger MkII and practice with that
google "Natural point of aim".

Draw and shoot one handed a lot. When it comes to "how do I shoot more better", it's really as simple as just shoot more.
inb4 hurr training bad habits
If you have any semblance of trial and error you'll figure it out, or it wasn't meant to be.
Laser rounds, and practice your draw in the mirror(unloaded, clearly)
if you're looking to emphasize duelist stance as your main stance, look into a revolver as they point better. plowhandle points the best
Grip training
Draw: you need to consider your holster and cover garment. You will need a garment that allows you to purchase and clear your pistol one-handed without catching/hanging up. A light, stiff material will allow you to clear with your hand/thumb and "let go" as you extend to aim.
Shooting: Assuming that you are focused on dynamic shooting (you are using your support hand for some urgent or environmental purpose) you will want to focus on positional accuracy (point-shoulder shooting, natural point of aim, bent-arm/hip shooting). If your focus is marksmanship, then you will need to consider locking out your arm or traveling your sights across your target to alleviate natural movement.
train.
Horizontal shoulder holster and an open cover garment. Can be drawn with off hand, with some practice. Fasten zipper or whatever closure at the very bottom in case of gusty weather.
Explain to me the "first over the heart" technique. I have see this before - it looks like Autism. Is it Autism? I'm sure it's Autism.
It is just the default position for your support hand when practicing one-handed shooting. Call it a training scar, I guess.
This is me making bullshit up, but if your being engaged with a pocket pistol caliber by a criminal like .32 or .25 the thickness and bones of your hand could potentially save your torso
Be 3 yards from your target, like the real world dictates for any use you will ever get out of your gun. Fucking gamer faggot.
Why do this though? Unless you only have one arm, which is unlikely.
train using only the front sight post to aim with... (you would be surprised how common and effective that is) (pro tip Aim low hit high and this is only effective at fairly close ranges)
best answer here. heard from a bullseyeshooter
>squeeze pistol until hand shakes
>relax just enough to keep gun from shaking
>that’s a good grip
also the grip in the photo should only be used to blow your own brains out
"Down and disabled": you have been shot in the arm/shoulder and you have to return fire unsupported. Cops have died because they got shot in the strong arm and didn't draw across their bodies with their weak/support arms and engage.
Try using one hand
making a fist keeps you from shaking other variations are fist behind back and fist near pocket
