I'll be travelling from the US to Europe soon and was planning to bring a BB gun (cheap zinc alloy spring powered BB gun) in my checked-in luggage. I'll be trying to orient the gun in my luggage hoping that it will be scanned in such a way that the outline of the gun won't be noticeable, but will rather show up as a thin block.
Airsoft is partly legal in the country that I'm travelling to, but without a permit, it's illegal and owning a BB gun is treated as owning a real gun. I don't care about the gun being taken away, I'm just afraid of getting arrested or missing my flight if the gun is found somewhere in the luggage.
I have the feeling that, if found while in the US, TSA won't really care. but I have a connecting flight in another country in Europe before I get to my destination country in Europe and I'm afraid that it will be detected there somewhere and I'll be raped by the cops.
Do BB guns need to be declared like a firearm does?
Alexander Scott
In America, yes, in some states. In Europe, you'll need to do more than declare it. You'll need a license and such.
I was also thinking of trying to just ship it through the mail but I'd have no idea on how to hide a gun in a package.
Carter Hughes
This is a very stupid idea.
Brandon Cruz
You going to the netherlands?
Grayson Cox
Portugal
I know, which is why I'm considering
William Rivera
IDK, check the specific country if they allow "gun like toys" unless you are doing a penetration test, in which case good luck explaining that to the cops
Jackson Gray
They don't, but the thing is, a friend of mine did the same fucking thing and he actually got it through.
I don't quite understand how
Joshua Allen
>risks jail time for a shitty bb gun
what the fuck is wrong with you. are you literally a pants-shitting retard
also, you're discussing both illegal activities and airsoft on Jow Forums
its not hard to get past security, you just need to figure out what the meme of the day is, thats how TSA keeps failing, read any article about how poor their detection skill is
Xavier Rogers
You are extremely stupid. Don't do it. You can't get away with it. If it was completly made out of plastic and looked like a nerf gun, then and only then can you get away with it. Otherwise, YOU WILL BE CAUGHT AND THEY WILL DETAIN YOU FOR AN INDEFINITE AMOUNT OF TIME

To clarify, I'm NOT talking about bringing it on the plane with me. It'll be in checked-in luggage
William Nguyen
>Wrap the gun in aluminum foil >Shape the foil to look like a massive bad dragon dildo >now they don't even want to open your luggage
they only x-ray your bags when you enter security, for any connecting flights they'll be considered secure. your problem will be if they go through your bags in customs at your destination.
Gavin Hernandez
Why?

>Checked baggagerefers to the items ofluggagedelivered to an airline or train for transportation in the hold of an aircraft orbaggagecar of a passenger train, which means it is inaccessible to the passenger during the flight or ride.
Angel Howard
This is helpful, thanks. This means that at the very least I wont be SWAT'd and raped on the plane. Now I just need to figure out how to hide it in the luggage
Nathan Perez
just buy one from gunfire.pl when you arrive
Jordan Gray
just do it and go to prison what could go wrong
Charles Morales
You will trigger all the alarms in the scans. All the airlines tell you NOT to transport things shaped like firearms.
Carson Green
This actually looks pretty good. Any chance it'll go through?
