lol

Any idea what airshows this will be shown at? I’m touring Europe soon.

i dont think they have any plans for it soon.

You can see it during the MAKS airshow which is held in Moscow every odd year (next one being summer 2019). I went there in 2011 and seen it fly.

Russian MoD at least has signed for an initial order of 12.

Short answer: Yes.

Weak, nigga. Real weak.

Sukboi-57

They're probably ordering them as a test batch, they'll see how it performs and order more if it does well or if it's good enough

Yes, also boomers fucking around with our air force

Why does one R-77 have the potato masher fins and the other does not?

Why do you want to ruin the thread so badly?

Which is better?

>The aerodynamics are novel, combining vestigial cruciform wings with grid fins used as tail control surfaces (similar devices are used on the OTR-23 Oka, and USAF uses them on MOAB). Each surface consists of a metal frame containing a blade-like grid assembly which combines a greater control area, and thus lifting force, with reduced weight and size.
>The flow separation which occurs at high angles of attack enhances its turning ability, giving the missile a maximum turn rate of up to 150° per second. However, updated variants of the R-77, such as the izdeliye 180 that is destined for the Sukhoi Su-57, will use conventional fins instead.[4]

Any new pics of Izdeliye 30?

t-50's kind of meh looking, f-22 is the first of the modern looking stealth jets, and the j-20 at least tries something new with it's little canards, but I just can't get behind the sneaky slav for some reason
wonder how sweden's super secret gen 5 plans are going, and if the shinshin will ever bear fruit

>by customers i meant foreign customers.

Well, while India may not go with the FGFA, they still intend to buy the SU-57, just not the two-seater from the FGFA. Also, Turkey is interested because the Americans refuse to sell F-35's to Turkey.

I could see Kazakhstan, Vietnam and Iran being potential SU-57 customers.

>also only 12? wtf?

Russian procurement works in batches. While the MoD intends to get 250+ fighters, they buy them in batches, in this case being 12 for the first.
