i like the C variant.

More like this is the old face of bait threads.

How is it bait when it's factually the newest and most modern fighter?

Same

>First STOVL plane as easy to operate as a CTOL

you cant say that when the PAK-FA exists.

There's absolutely no proof that the PAK FA exists

it does. and its far better than the Fail-35

I hope this is enough to fund your Putinka habit for the next hour.

LOL, the USA is threatening Turkey against buying the S-400 because of "interoperability" issues with the F35

More like they are spooped that turkey will use them together and figure out the S400 can see it

And this is the new belly of modern aviation, say something nice to it!

they already flew over the S-400 tho...
both the burgers and the jews did it.

>this tiny diamond cockpit in the front

Yet they avoided all Russian controlled areas. Because they knew the Russians could shoot them down if they wanted

That's sexy.

now i know youre a vatnigger

An A with the same size wing as the C would be the ultimate F-35 variant.

Attached: AIR_F-35_JSF_Variants_lg.jpg (1164x873, 191K)

why?

It wouldn't, it would sacrifice maneuverability and G-rating.

this is a good post

It's so goddamn sexy

PAK FA - name of the project
T-50 - Suhkoi's internal development name for the plane
Su-57 - Name of the finished product

>theoretically

It's not exactly as simple as he made it sound. Forward-swept wings are subjected to much higher mechanical stress, an issue solved by composite materials. And here's where the problem really lies: the wing in this case has to be a full-composite one-piece, meaning any tiniest bit of damage to its structure will result in having the entire wing replaced, meaning the price is insanely skyrocketing.

Attached: su-47 (3).jpg (990x637, 58K)

Well it's fucking ugly and why has noone goten the idea of weaponizing and updating SR-71 Blackbirds?

Because SR-71 is a faulty piece of shit with almost 40% crash rate and pre-takeoff incontinence. It's also ugly as hell.

Because they dont exist anymore and we used up all the plutonium for the timemachine, Marty!

this is why the new scramjets using forward swept wings aren't forward swept but straight lined in the front and angled forward. Like a triangle with it's point facing back.

give me w-warm!
Give me... soft!

What new scramjets?

It's a mig 17 with a bodykit

This is the new face of modern aviation, get used to it.

Can someone explain the rationale of the US procurement system that produces stuff like the F-35 or the Advanced Gun System or the Littoral Combat Ship?

Why do they all cost so much? Why can't the government just go
>Nah, we're not paying that fucking much

>1 cruise missile per bay; same as the F-35 which is half the size

Good god, jets are big.

raf f35 in uk

because US procurement has to use US labor, which is significantly more expensive than chinese, russian, or brown labor. The US also has to develop all of its technology instead of just stealing/copying other countries.
