that shit aint right
No this
Technically it's this for now
Thinking about getting a mid level AR. Looked at Colt LE6920. Thoughts?
Im not talking about someone waiting behind a door but if someone is breaking into a house they generally dont know the layout so they could open the door to the giddy cave thinking its something more important. Boom they are face to face with gidster, weapon or not they can slap your shit and you wont be able to effectively shoot someone with a rifle. With a pistol you can atleast point shoot from the hip at near point blank range.
entry level AR for mid level price
I got to look down an ACOG for the first time today during some quality range time with a friend's SBRs. I felt even poorer than I already do; it was glorious. I need to save up for a solid build.
I agree with you but I also worry about being so close that the muzzle comes into contact with the assailant and is forced out of battery
They would be downstairs, even the most retarded criminal knows that in a two-story home that people sleep upstairs and downstairs is usually vacant and while a one-story home exist I don't live in one so it doesn't apply to me.
If someone breaks into my house, the most likely scenario is there going to rummage around downstairs trying to steal anything they can and getting out of there ASAP they're not going to come fuck around upstairs but that's where people are and someone screams you never know someone has a gun and they could end up dead so they're not going to risk it cuz all they want is to steal shit to buy drugs and not looking to commit murder although it is a possibility it is highly unlikely. and if they're opening my door I'll notice that they're opening my door all backup II the door opened boom I hit him with the light to the eyes and fucking the second I realize it's not a family member I put at least five rounds in them so in that situation I win so the only situation I don't win is one where they're waiting for me to open the door.
>that sbr
its okay, your friend is retarded too
14" M1S90 with slugs for HD soon
i herd u lookin 4 sum acog
My $500 poorfag AR in comparison. The handguard absorbed a lot of heat after a few mags, so I'm going to start with replacing that, then a bull barrel.
Your friend's rifle looks like shit.
What do you mean? It's made by Colt. That's a big name with a good reputation and history of military and LEO contracting.
>force out of battery
Unless youre on the ground or being pushed against a wall this is a non issue. Bring the pistol level with your belt line and bring your arm backwards until it clears. Bam pointshoot.
Well, it has a 14.5" barrel and has a tax stamp, so that means something, I think. It's his service rifle.
Thanks, desu. What should I buy him as an upgrade?
Is this bait?
this must be bait
>14.5" barrel and has a tax stamp
Hes a retard
>It's his service rifle.
uh
>RRA operator stock
>ergo grip
>shit tier handguard
>tax stamp
what fucking service is that?
Can I give you some advice from my own builds?
Don't try to make your current one better, you'll wind up with a giant bin full of parts that no one wants second-hand.
Just start assembling the rifle you REALLY want, and at the end of the day you'll have a two ARs,.
There's no bait here my friend. Just honest questions.
>what fucking service is that?
Local law enforcement. What handguard do you recommend?
Thanks, friend. I'll start hunting for deals on a lower, then!
Yeah, tell him how he and his friend should build their rifles.
Being that you know so much about gunfighting.
>14.5 Barrel
>Tax Stamp
This is usually where I start making fun of A2Grip's lack of height but boy howdy is your friend an absolute brainlet or what.
Then its a patrol rifle not a service rifle
>14.5" with a stamp
Dont need to be a fucking rocket scientist to figure out whats wrong with this
>A2Grip's lack of height
The fuck? im 6'2" you scrub. Make fun of my skele status if youre going to do that
>Law Enforcement
I recommend the rope.
I guess I'm mistaken; I'm not well-versed with ARs and barrel laws. His stamp must be for his 10" build.
>What handguard do you recommend?
A real RAS not that drop in turd
I had you mixed up with the other tripnigger. The gripstock homo. Whatever I don't care suck me off.
Here ya go
Gotcha. They were sold out on Knight's when I last looked, I have to keep an eye out. Thanks!
Thanks nigger I needed a good laugh.
Promag makes a better grip than what you're running
Honestly what company does make a good AR these days?
FN
BCM
DD
KAC
LMT
others
I mean if you're so close that you have to pull your gun away, you're close enough to risk them grabbing it and holding out of battery or not letting it cycle after the first shot. I guess this is where a revolver would really shine.
DD? Daniel Defense? I thought they were shunned for shoddy QC. Or am I mistaken.
Best to shoot first
You are incorrect
How in this scenario are you making contact with a Criminal, did you open the door and happen to see, him does he open the door, do you both open the door at the same time? What's going on in this scenario?
GIGN agrees
All I know is that I'm more motivated to practice my point shooting and ultra close threat drills after thinking about this
Basically this. If I run out of ammo I'll hit them with the steel torso.
Hm. Thanks.
youtu.be
Good
>not using torso as a shield
Wasteful
So when you leave your room are you leaving the room because you heard a sound and don't know what it was or are you a hundred percent sure that there are criminals in your home? If I'm simply checking on noise I don't know what it was I'm taking my pistol with the light but if I know that there's criminals I can hear them talking then and I also see on the camera that they broke into the house will then you bet your ass I'm grabbing my rifle waiting at the top of the stairs in the second one of them comes to that hallway I'm fucking light in their ass up but instead of being serious you just want to be a
*be a jokester
Can you believe it took this many years for MP5s to catch on in the US?
>but instead of being serious you just want to be a
Really im dont having this debate with you because you are just too giddy
>catch on
They have always been turbo popular
I'll use my 24x36 steel torso for that.
Ok
They've been popular since the 80s. Even fudds want them
It's more so that they are more accessible than in the past
I remember when the lgs has select fires in stock. Price+200 and a shiny new one was yours.
hi
Hi I liked that photo so I edited it a little I hope you like it
>suppressing an AR
Oh boy, you must like hot gas in your face
Bedtime.
Reminder that you're more likely to have your home invaded by a heathen bird than a person.
There are countless remedies for that you scrub, post your suppressed setup
BRRAAAAAPPPPPP
22 earshot solves that.
>earshot
*ratshot
it looks good
Nah, gotta shoot them birds in the earholes
except for the AR in ir
With a can cannon, you could roll up a pair of ratty socks and fire that at them.
news flash to you
All handguards absorb heat
Its a rifle. Rifles cause that
to happen.
Wear gloves. Don't sweat it.
Move on with your life.
>not having a handguard made from space shuttle reentry tile
jprifles.com
>not overclocking your rifle
4 a2
>very fast handguard melting at incredibly high speed
EOtech offers a "Tan" finish...
does anybody have any photos i can use to compare it to other FDE furniture and accessories?
it's anodized aluminum like geissele and surefire
if only you could type in "tan eotech" into google
Apparently I have no 45 ACP home defense ammo.
you mean ball ammo?
None of that either
Gdhp vs hst
Go!
RIP ammo > all
9mm?
hst
>Isn't running a red dot large enough to beat an intruder to death
>running
45
I'll go hst since that's also my 9mm hd load
Forgot image
idk I thought you were supposed to use ball ammo in 45 for defensive purposes
I'd much rather use a 9 myself
Mil-spec is mid to low tier in the commercial market
>idk I thought you were supposed to use ball ammo in 45 for defensive purposes
Boomer suchka
If I was a boomer I'd think 45 has a place in modern defensive handguns
>LE
>"service"
what is that handguard?
