Why are disposable infantry rocket launchers more popular than reloadable ones ?

I have an idea, a potentially retarded idea
So what if you took a pair of brass knuckles and some glue and you glued some large primers strike faces pointing outwards or hell maybe small rimfire cases to the knuckles so that when you punched someone it would hurt even more because they have small explosions occurring in extremely close proximity to their body in addition to being punched by a piece of metal

I actually did design a ballistic fist though, The diagram I drew up for it basically consists of a .410 4 winds welded to a steel plate attached to a glove with tape around the barrel to make it snug to the receiver so it doesn't fall out

Toss a rock in it and sink it in the pool. Let it sit at the bottom for a couple of days then let air dry in the sun. This has worked for me.

I just bought an original named Mitchell pattern cover dated 1965 for 8 bucks. Its pretty torn up with a lot of tears. I put it on my M1 and i like it, but im worried having it pressed up under the liner will damage it. So i would rather have a repro to put on so the cloth isnt damaged much more.

I built a Polymer 80 Glock 17. Lubed it up and took it to the range and it shot well but a few times it failed to feed. The slide would lock all the way back instead of automatically resetting. Any particular reason for this? I think the slide lock spring might have been causing it to push up more than normal and since that's right next to my support hand that could be the issue. How would I fix that if that is the problem?

Nah, metal tarnishes. Only worry about it if there's a noticeable buildup or extremely dark (black) discoloration.

The slide lock spring should be pushing the slide lock down. If it's pushing up at all, you assembled it wrong.

Sorry, because you mentioned it in conjunction with the slide locking back, I took your "slide lock" to refer to part 26 on this diagram. If you meant part 20 (the actual "slide lock"), then yeah, the spring pushes up, but there's no way that would cause the slide to prematurely lock back.
(Not pushing the slide lock spring, part 19, all the way down into its slot can cause it to drag against the recoil spring, potentially leading to short stroking, but it won't lock back.)

Because almost every non-1911 pistol was designed for 9mm, and thus couldn't handle a longer cartridge like .38 Super. And 1911s (and derivatives) were almost always bought in .45 partly because that's what the military used, and partly because bigger numbers are always better.
.38 Super is also semi-rimmed, which sucks for high-capacity magazines.
