why is multicam the 56% Amerimutt meme of the industry of camouflage?
>majority of western uniformed special forces regiments wears them that are allied with the US (exceptions being Japan, possibly S. Korea, Phillipines, maybe more) >Australia now has a mutt version of it, replacing a superior version thats been in use since the 1980s (Pic related). apparently they keep the spirit by keeping the jellybeans but its not the same >the Royal Australian Navy version of the new camo looks like shit where even the Naval version of DPCU actually worked due to blending into the ship and not the fucking ocean. Literally a copy of the US Navy square "digital" camo >literally looks like various species of bird shit smeared across a brighter olive drab base canvas >Virtually all of the former Warsaw Pact countries have superior and unique camoflage that matter on enviroment on 80% and not something that would sort of match in any enviroment on 56%
It just works. >Australia now has a mutt version of it, replacing a superior version thats been in use since the 1980s (Pic related). apparently they keep the spirit by keeping the jellybeans but its not the same The differences are pretty inconsequential. The pallet is the same and the swatches are more similar than not, just reduced in size. >Virtually all of the former Warsaw Pact countries have superior and unique camoflage Then why do all their SOF wear multicam?

I'd watch that show.
Hunter Mitchell
exclusive to Australia considering our ranks are being fucking screwed over by faggots because of quotas SOF?
Jason Moore
Special Operations Forces, you fucking scrub.
Ethan Foster
Ausfag here.
That image is of some mad dog war hero from Task Group Taji 3 to 5.
I deployed on Taji Military Complex between late 2015 and mid-2016.
I worked with the Iraqis and had some interactions with the Shia Militia Groups on base.
That camo is called 'AMCU' or Australia Multicam Combat Uniform. The major benefit it has over our knock off of Multicam called 'ACU' or Australian Combat Uniform as used by the SASmandos of earlier generations is that you could identify us as Aussies outside of the flags we had flying from every bloody vehicle.
Speaking to Shiafags of KIA, they said it was easy to differentiate us from the Yanks and the Britbongs and their Multicam/MTP matterns.
The Kiwibros on the other hand were confused with USMC.
So when the Shiafags were having a major hate on for the US, it was quite funny to have the Shiafags waving at us but flipping the bird and shit to the Yanks and Brits!
But regarding the replacement of DPCU, we finally went from looking like a military from the 80's to something near modern! Plus the new pants are an amazing fit. The female sigs getting around the camp displayed this perfectly.
We supposedly paid some exorbitant sum to have the good old 'dicks and bunnies' replicated across to the new pattern. I kind of like it but I got to hang up my F88 for an M4 a few years back so I'm biased.
Austin Gray
Do you think the m4s still better than the new ef88? I’m a big fan of the stock button that cocks it for you
Grayson Allen
Spec Ops use it because all the good high speed gear is in multicam
Jordan Ortiz
>bolt release Christ sickness, get a clue. OPSEC, fuck-knuckle.
Bentley Smith
Revealed nothing you won't find in the news m80.
I found the F88 more accurate and far easier to shoot in general with its better balance but I appreciate the ease of handling of the M4. Haven't touched an EF88 apart from one of the tech road shows but it was broken...
What opsec? The guy in the pic is identified on Wikipedia and the rest of that shit regarding camo can be found out using an internet connection and a familiarity with English. Not even that guy.
But that's a poorly considered crock of shit. All "good high speed gear" is offered in several colors and any company worth their salt will do special patterns to order.
Eli Ramirez
>Yeah, use flecktan instead, its da best and germans used it in ww2 xD And still lost the war lmao
Samuel James
Cheapest to just buy it in multimeme, especially for smaller countries with even smaller SOFs also makes it easier for SOFs to buy their own gear as they often do.
Parker Thompson
So what, during the cold war half the world used some variant of woodland or dpm. Why spends millions coming up with your own pattern when you can take something that already works and fiddle with color a little.
Literally no. When there is a price difference between color options, Multicam is invariably more expensive than OD/RG/CB/CT options. Look, I get you want it to be for some other reason than that Multicam is actually just a good and functional pattern, but this grappling is sad.
Connor Phillips
You're assuming their gear isnt 'donated' by the good old usa
Logan Nguyen
>Amerimutt today op was a retard
William Morales
He really fits into those desks, papers, computers and office chairs.
The navy is moving to multicam to keep uniformity with the air force and army who both have transitioned to their own versions of multicam.
The navy only went to their own version of dpcu in the mid 2000s in order to sync up with the rest of the military.
Jace Garcia
seriously? i fucking just found this pic on wikipedia for Australian Multicam
Gabriel Jackson
they got a blue variant of it, looks like a mashed up 22b rally car
Jose Hill
Muticam works really well. Why is that not obvious?
Camden Wright
No, digicam is the amerimutt meme.
Jace Johnson
While these look good, I can't help but to suspect that the levels were adjusted a after the fact.
Brandon Hall
You know thats kind of the point right?
So when a buncha white guys in multicam show up without any insignia, other enemy forces dont immediately know what country they are from and give certain units plausible deniability.
Grayson Phillips
We started phasing out the blueberries late last year for the new hotness: guacamolies. Pic related.
So RAN and the RAAF are gonna get the same shit but worser than the Australian Army's
Aiden Mitchell
1. It's far cheaper than buying a green, and a brown, and a tan set for everybody 2. muh imperialism 3. muh capitalism 4. camo is entirely irrelevant with today's technology. The only time it matters is its glow under nods- which is also completely irrelevant with thermals which will always win unless you wear a neoprene gimp suit
Not convinced? How many mexicans scamper across the border in blue jeans and plaid shirts that aren't seen no matter how hard good ol' boy border patrolers are looking?
Julian Gomez
What a surprise.
Brandon Richardson
literally where on earth would this ever work.
Julian Green
plus no more blousing straps, added velcro tabs, and those awesome ankle pockets
Angel Diaz
Multicam is just the best all-around pattern. It's the AR of camouflage. Feel free to just wear OD or khaki or whatever just like some of us run AKs, but understand that you're giving yourself a disadvantage.
Angel Garcia
MARPAT is top teir in it's respective environment, Multimeme is a cheap cop out. >AR Multimeme >AK Woodland MARPAT >SCAR-H Desert MARPAT

The red isn't nearly as bright as you think, especially under low light. It's why we use red filters at night. Our eyes can't see red very well, so it's actually not a bad color for breaking the patter up a little.
Jordan Morris
All the high speed companies will make gear in any pattern they can get their hands on.\ t. Fag that works for Crye and put together tropentarn G3s all month
Brandon Miller
>Mutt meme Back to /pol >I don't like the way soldiers look Return to call of duty, there you can make your soldier look as gay as you want.
Elijah Gray
Can we all just go back to BDUs and DCUs? Everything new is just plain ugly.
Jeremiah Rogers
CB or anything else in a flat color is typically cheaper and available for the same equipment
