It's 1 September 1939. WW2 has begun. You are transported to this time by space aliens and implanted into Hitler's body. It's all part of a reality TV show they run for their people that focuses on torturing lesser species in creative ways. Your only escape is to actually win the war. The aliens give you 3 options to improve your military to pick from:
>1: Every rifle produced will be a variant of the modernized AK-74 and every soldier will be issued one. Training to manufacture the required materials to operate them is included. This does away with the huge clusterfuck of various small arms that the Reich dealt with.
>2: The aliens will provide you with 200 T-64BV tanks and training to manufacture the required materials to operate them.
>3: The aliens will provide you with 50 Tu-22M3 and training to manufacture the required materials to operate them.
because the Russian tech is more conducive to being used by the german soldiers as they are closer in time and closer in technological lineage. An AR-15 would be a bigger leap in terms of manufacture than an AK-74.
Parker Mitchell
Tupolevs obviously. The ability to drop accurate ordnance with total impunity anywhere in Europe from the heart of German is not to be taken lightly. It will be five years before anything will exist that can reasonably threaten you.
Xavier White
>It will be five years before anything will exist that can reasonably threaten you.
what would that be?
Austin Long
A strategic jet bomber that cannot be intercepted by anything in the sky at the very beginning of WW2 would probably make the most difference.
With Tanks all they'd have to do is mount the existing Flak 88 on a simple chassis, running on diesel (ideally biodiesel because oil shortage is still a thing) with sloped armor and decent optics. That would give them a tank that's cheap enough to make in numbers that matter, cheap enough to run with their difficult fuel situation and powerful enough to fuck most other tanks up.
As for assault rifles, this probably matters least because their tactics were based around the machine gun but if they went balls-deep on the StG as early as possible. They were already toying with it in the form of the MKb 42, FG 42 and a few inter-war ideas. If they could have a cheap delayed-blowback assault rifle family like the StG 45 by 1940 it could help in Barbarossa but the idea is simple enough that everyone else would probably copy it in short order.
Dominic Collins
I don't want an ar, I'd settle with f5e's or some shit in that ballpark
Luis White
>As for assault rifles, this probably matters least because their tactics were based around the machine gun
they were based on the MG because their bolt guns were shit and inadequate. basically, the rest of the squad was usually just making sure the MG was safe and well fed.
Liam Perez
>Your only escape is to actually win the war deploy paratroopers over england and take their victory points.
John Cooper
Jet aircraft. Nothing will be able to intercept it at full tilt but at cruising speed if early jet interceptors were at max speed then they might just be able to pull something off, if not actually scratch it then at least ward it off target.
Jace Rogers
which jets do you think could do that in particular?
Hunter Hernandez
The Tu-22M3's Some kraut space magic could produce more versions/copies of the aircraft, therefore Germany would have air superiority on every front
Sebastian Hill
50 Tu-22M3s would deny US/UK entry to the war/european mainland completely. Any naval assault could be sunk well into the atlantic. to secure the atlantic wall like this you'd probably need less than 20 of the aircraft. put 10 on the med. and use 20 to make runs on russian arms manufacture sites and you win the war.
Colton Hill
>Tu-22M3 That would win the war in any condition, effectively destroying Britain's island safety. Just a handful flying a few unchallenged sorties daily would have devastating effects on their commercial and maritime activities.
Same thing for CCCP, with it that early enough and the range it has, CCCP could constantly be under threat even past the ural mountains. Hell, you could actually do a decapitation strike on Day 1, targeting and killing all high level Soviet leadership and completely throw them out of the war.
>200 T-64BV This scenario would still probably give you a victory if Russia is still attacked. Britain would still be a powerful island unreachable to you. Russias economic factories would be reached and crushed. First year objectives would definitely be reached, which was the surrounding of Moscow. Who knows what happens once Stalin is dead.
>AK-74 If everyone soldier is issued one? I still think it would result in a victory, Probably even moreso than the 200 T-64's. It effectively makes their operational manpower strength 5x stronger at the start of the war with no resources needing to be wasted on more small arms material.
No matter what, I still attack the Soviet Union. I still would press ahead with what needed to be done.
Isaiah Walker
>No matter what, I still lose.
Lincoln Allen
Why the fuck does it have to be Russian weaponry?
Aaron Roberts
>because the Russian tech is more conducive to being used by the german soldiers as they are closer in time and closer in technological lineage. An AR-15 would be a bigger leap in terms of manufacture than an AK-74.
Jonathan Nelson
I'd get some nukes and blow up the U.S.
Jeremiah Turner
Yeah, no. Fuck you and your slavaboo choices, there's plenty of other arms and equipment out there.
Anthony Brooks
too expensive, why not just grab make some salted bombs?
Evan Bailey
I’ll take option three. I hope it doesn’t BACKFIRE on me.
Jokes aside, and have the right idea- with the Backfires, you’ve just closed the Atlantic, and the Brits are cake-fucked.
Jackson Jackson
Depends what kind of weapons Tu-22M3 comes with.
Chase Hughes
everything it has regularly just without the nuke warheads. nukes would be overkill.
Logan Collins
A lesion of m1a2 Abrams.
Elijah Perez
Immediately compitulate to Britain, then get close to the heads of state there then have them all taken out, repeat with France. Then turn east with everything you have in late February and crush Russia by late fall.
Now Stalin has likely shitted his pants and without UK and US help commies will starve out of most resources. They can run all the way to Mongolia after their factories and railway network has been ruined too.
Grayson Bell
really surprised be the low participation itt. I would have expected people to jump on and post their ideas about how they'd win the war and how they'd smother cultural marxism in the crib....
Brandon Flores
Try
John Stewart
try >kys
Daniel Hill
>thinking that light weaponry has any kind of influence on wars >thinking that a few slightly better tanks will be enough to make a difference
Hitler could have had laser space guns and a billion M1A2SEP and would have still lost the war
Austin Williams
>billion M1A2SEP
the materials in that would be enough to build a star destroyer or two.
Ayden Carter
I'd not invade Russia and tell the japs to not blow up pearl harbor, that's what I'd do.
Tyler Gonzalez
If I choose the backfires, do we also get the munitions that they carry and the know-how to make more of them?
Samuel Clark
Tu-22 give a couple to the Japs for Pearl Harbor too
Jacob Barnes
>If I choose the backfires, do we also get the munitions that they carry and the know-how to make more of them?
yes. as well as the training programs to train pilots and maintenance crews etc. - without that they are just scrap metal.
So I'm Hitler and can win the war and save my life by making the right choice of weapon? And if I fail, I die as Hitler? So... my first move is to kms. ez scenario OP.
Brody Harris
>I can outsmart time traveling interstellar aliens and not play their game
yeah. nope.
Robert Bennett
it's not outsmarting them, and it's not not playing their game. brainlet you need to stop posting.
David Martinez
Actually kill yourself you raging autist
Joshua Jenkins
This, kill myself and save millions of lives.
Easton White
no, you surrender to the allies and save lives. göbbels will just do what hitler did anyhow.
Joseph Cox
What’s the point of the Tu-23 if there are no missiles for it? Only 200 advanced tanks would be pointless. The AK would be the only sensible choice, but small arms don’t win wars.
Chase Anderson
Don't attack Soviets, take the Malta and secure Mediterranean. After that you can easily kick British and American forces out of Africa. Advance on the Middle East, take oil, create Israel together with Stalin - America is now your best friend and you just solved the Jewish question. Japan take the rest of British and French colonies and game over - you won.
