Most of the people calling it cancer are just slappers only or not that interested in ar15s. The EE is great and there's decent information on the site. The EE pisses a lot of the kids off here because of very strict rules that wont allow for their usual bullshit. That said however, the general is cancer.

Some forums are full of annoying white collar big $ types that think a 24" bull barrel with a 20+ magnification scope is the only way to build an Ar15.

It's essentially a large collection of people who were a little too old when they found the internet discovering what memes are.
Additionally, its probably one of the worst forums in terms of there always being some absurd pissing match about the dumbest shit. Pointing out some bizarrely stupid or overpriced guns or accessories will get you some high school dropout lecturing you on how capitalism works and how you must be a communist. It's fucking weird how one track some of the brainlets over there are in the general forums.
The EE is actually great though.
The tech forums are hit and miss. Some of the mods are shitheads, like the one guy in the reloading forum who likes to edit people's posts and will remove things on a whim. It's weird seeing someone make a joke or pun and having that fuckhead delete it and add a warning or something. I guess its too much time on imageboards but heavyhanded mods irritate me.
They also have way too many subforums with the result that many are ghost towns.
But overall just use it for the EE.
