At least as far as Masterpiece Arms MACs are confirmed, they are accurate, reliable, and have minimal recoil because of their weight. I think they'd be excellent home defense guns. Sure wouldn't want to conceal carry one though.

It's going to be relatively controllable if you're using a stock, due to the low rate of fire, but it's also going to be expensive as hell due to the Hughes Amendment, and you might end up losing an irreplaceable pre-86 machine gun to a police evidence locker somewhere.
And if you're using a semi-auto Mac 10, that shit is gross and you need to fuck off.

Improve your marksmanship or just get an AK in 5,45 or 5,56 and use those polymer bullet loads. My personal HD gun is an AK-74 with the polymer bullet Hornady stuff.
