I would like opinions

I currently only own an sks, which has taken on a slight modification. I'm a believer and practicion of the motto "measure twice, cut once". That being said, I think my next firearm will be a Remington 870 3" shotgun with a 18" barrel. I've trained with it, and I'm comfortable with the operation of the firearm. I am also in a position to buy a handgun, and I'm overly familiar with Glocks, though I don't personally own one. I'm completely competent with them, in 9mm, .40S&W, and .45acp. I want a concealable, shoulder holster for example, large caliber pistol that isn't a glock, or a Glock with non Glock parts, like a larger barrel, a stiffer recoil spring, a compensator, longer magazine springs, what ever. A magnum revolver seems logical, right? I don't like the limited ammunition capacity associated with revolvers. Speed loaders, aren't going to sway my opinion, and caliber wars be damned, I want alot of big bang, not just accuracy with a big bang.

I need help selecting a medium game taking pistol that isn't something like a Glock 40.

I have done my research and I decided on a Mossberg 590A1. Only about $100-120 over the 870, and full milspec. Also, doing my research, I've heard Remingtons QC went downhill.

Do NOT fucking buy an 870 unless it is a used one made before freedom group AKA Cerburus bought Remington. They are SHIT!!!!!!!!

Do yourself a solid and buy a mossberg 590/500. Alternatively a maverick or Iticha will serve you just fine.

To answer your other question, glock 20 is exactly what you are looking for. Maybe a colt delta elite pre Exter signs in .357 sig are nice too. As above, avoid new Sig like the fucking plague.

I absolutely love the position of the safety selector on Mossberg shotguns. If I had to change anything on the Remington 870 it would be the safety selector position. Thank you for the comment, I will look into it.

Dear god, bubba I can hear that Simonov screaming "yбeй мeня" through the fucking screen.

This user is correct, the firearm you're looking for is a P229 in .357sig. If it's not made in West Germany its shit.

.357sig is a "exotic" round in my area. I don't think I'll have to scavenge for ammunition in the near future, but I wouldn't like to at any point in time. Cheap ammunition isn't a necessity, but readily available is.

Then you're stuck with the following calibers shitdick. 22lr 9mm 45ACP and .38/357. Pick one.

As far am I'm concerned, if they weren't so concerned with running out of ammunition they would have built the sks with a bi-pod to begin with. That's why the AK took over. I like the sks's operation more than the AK, though I do have a soft spot for Slav shit.

I was hoping an intellectual individual would drop some knowledge instead of a fag shit posting. My bad.

You're right. 179 firearms, class 3 SOT, submitted multiple firearms to international military trials, certified small arms instructor, SAMMI certified technician, in the industry for 30+ years. What the fuck do I know. Your gut instinct is right, get a model 29 loaded with wadcutters and carry it in a fucking shoulder holster.

Doubtful. The main reason the SKS has a folding bayonet is because the M44 Nugget had one, and by '45 when the SKS was deployed the M44 was already replacing 91/30s. The AK took over because it was a superior design: similar firepower with more ammunition capacity, select-fire capability, shorter, [relatively] cheap to manufacture, easier to reload, and most importantly simple enough for average Ivan to operate it.
iirc, by '41 the Type 99 was the only fielded infantry rifle that had a bipod, and even that feature was quickly phased out to speed up production time.

Well, assuming you aren't a dog. Because nobody knows your a dog on the internet. What is you opinion of .460 Rowland? This is the round I've been mulling around in my head. But finding platforms for the round is a difficult task.

You should get a rifle in .416 Barret too. Oh and that shotgun you're considering? 28 gauge is the only way to go bro.

Select fire capabilities. That in addition to detachable magazines. These things killed the sks. I bought this sks as a range rifle, which lead me to buy a bi-pod. An AK shouldn't be avoided as a range rifle, but the sks made more sense to me as a target rifle. In a perfect world, you wouldn't the need things the AK offered, but the world isn't perfect.

I reload. .460 rowland is a .45 diameter bullet. I know a .357sig is a .9mm bullet. I don't want to reload tapered brass if I can help it. That being said, I don't want to have to rely on reloading to begin with. That's why I turned to "the internet" for opinions. "The internet" spoon fed me bullshit, and un-original ideas. I expect more, I might be disappointed.

I do like the Mossberg safety as it is visible to the shooter at all times, I will however be converting to a pistol grip/AR stock, which will kick the shit out of my shoulder, but I'll be damned if it doesn't look good. The Remington serves the pistol grip config best. I don't mind having to take my hand away for the safety because chances are, you do that anyways when you tilt the 870 over, look down, then click it.

>bipod

I have regular sized hands for an adult. I have to move my finger off of the ready to fire position to disengage, or re-engage the safety on an 870. My thumb is in a natural position to manipulate the safety on a mossburg. This is what I was referring to.

I understand, but I mean that in the pistol grip config, the Mossberg is less comfortable. This isn't a problem for me, seeing how if I'm turning the safety off before the problem arises.

Your preference is based on your opinion, which happens to differ from mine. It's good you know what you want though, otherwise you'd be in my position, asking others for their opinion.

Well. Goodnight Jow Forums.

good night user

sleep well

This Sig is shit thing is utter horseshit. Sig has been excellent for decades, up until last year with the P320 bullshit, and now some sort of internet shadow campaign has taken up the cause to destroy the company. And you see it with other companies, too.
>Glock is shit
>Colt is shit
>Savage is shit
>Springfield is shit
>Remington actually is shit
It'd not surprise me to learn that it's libshills trying to erode the American gun owner's faith in his guns.

A Knoxx recoil reduction, Folding Stock would be good. Less pain on your hand with magnum loads, and if you wanted to shoot a target at longer distances, you would still have a stock that is more compact than a normal one.

If you are good at shooting a Glock, a revolver will be a lot easier. I would suggest a .44 magnum if you have a lot of shooting experience. But, if you also wanted to use it for concealed carry, you might have to find a compromise between hunting with it versus concealing it. Normally hunting pistols have longer barrels because of the change in shooting distance.

Also, hunting with a pistol is harder than with a rifle or shotgun because of the lack of a stock. But, if you said that you have a lot of experience shooting pistols, I don't think that it would be an issue for you.

That would be fine. I was going to say that if you still wanted something similar to a Remington 870, there is a gun that is like the Remington. It's called the H&R Pardner Pump Shotgun. Chinese made clone of the 870 and is better quality.

Nah m8, you'll see this stuff on every board because fanbois can't possibly imagine how anyone could like something that doesn't match their priorities or brand preference. When Jow Forums first changed from guro to technology it was super slow so there would be multi day threads with slap fights over which audio software was objectively shit or how users of a given Linux package manager were morons. Soros told me that there's no commission on any post that doesn't specifically concern targeted policy makers. That bastard is probably invested in IMI and disparaging his investments is a big no-no
