Typical 9mm apologist.
I don't have to apologize, 9mm has won. The FBI, the leading "scientists" of caliber testing, uses 9mm. Why don't you?
>Forgetting to post the info-graphic from Winchester you cherry picked where 40S&W BTFO 9millionmemer
>.40 Short and Weak
EL OH EL
>pic rel .40S&Wfags faces when the FBI dropped that cartridge
>The FBI, the leading "scientists"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
holy fuck, mate, you should really be careful going around making people laugh that hard. Might make an old timer keel over if he happens to overhear. How about you go do some research on the FBIs history when it comes to science and scientific discovery some time.
Get .40 instead. It hits as hard as a .45 and has all of the same hydrostatic shock effects, yet is smaller and will either fit into subcompacts or give you a higher magazine count.
Caliber flame war threads are cancer, but here's my contribution
>.40 short & weak
>hydrostatic shock effects
next you'll start blathering about stopping power like a real retard, typically a .45acpfag
>Get .40 instead.
.40 is at its best in mid-size pistols, where it's only a sidegrade with 9mm -- 10% better ballistics, 10% less mag capacity, 10% slower splits.
For pocket pistols, 9mm is clearly better, and for full-size pistols, 10mm is clearly better.
>It hits as hard as a .45
true, they both hit "barely harder than 9".
>and has all of the same hydrostatic shock effects
true, they both have none
>yet is smaller and will either fit into subcompacts or give you a higher magazine count.
true, but 10mm (or 9x25) will give you improved ballistics with the same higher magazine count, while 9mm will actually handle well enough for rapid fire in those subcompacts.
I mean Donald Trump's is a one term.president at best, but I agree 9mm is best mm.
>22lr is to 9mm what 9mm is to 45acp
>9mmfags will defend this
enjoy your surviving shooting victim's hospital bills and civil suit
i reject thee, satan trips
not even a lefty but why are poorfags always preaching against their own interests
And 45 is to 40 is as 40 is to 10mm your point?
>your point?
OP is a fag
Like just experimented in college or like wears a leather thong to the pride parade?
Like carries .40 S&W
just experimented in college.
with hetero.
decided it was definitely not for him.
OH ANDY *chuckles*
.45 is at least .05 more gayer that. .40 prove me wrong.
desu familamidingdongs for the basic conceal carry the best choice is a 9mm. It does the job adequately and that's all it needs to do.
unironically agree with this
Y'all forget that .38spl is best.
Non 9mm fags right now
>.38 Special Needs
Nah senpai
Sssshhhhh just accept it.
S-stop ;_;
9mm is for sois
.45 is for men
Yea, GAY MEN
>links to every other post, derailing conversations
delete this annoying fucking post, dummy
No
We had this already. Fuck op
>357 mag best 9mm
fukken savage m8
Literally only a few things the 9mm has going for it.
1. International round, can be found all over and made all over cheap.
2. It can be carried in great capacity.
3. Easy follow up shots and user control.
A lot of the reason the American Government has switched to 9mm is because it is less lethal people... Jesus. I mean any bullet will kill don't get me wrong. From reloads to factory FMJs. The American government is trying to cut down on civilian deaths from our law enforcement. 9mm is a great way to go for the average cop that doesn't take his time to aim or has no time.
I really like the 9mm though until I got my hands on a 1911 lol. You get the same inhand gun shooting performance with a great 1911 but you have upgraded in power to a .45. Which has been tried, tested, and proven like all the regualr ammo that runs around.
Make no mistake though, these people that argue blah blah .45 'knock down power'. It isn't always the case at all. It takes a very long time for someone to bleed out usually. The human mind can will itself from dying from incredible feats until our body can go no more.
Most batshit crazy I have ever heard when i was at FLEXY training. Highway patrolman took 37 rounds of pistol fire and stayed alive for the next how many hours he did. All because he wanted to be able to return home to his family. He didn't obviously.
Don't believe the matra that pistols stop people or anything instantly. Only high calibur rifles or powerful powerful magnum rounds can make such feats happen fast at a higher rate. One thing that works every time though.. shot placement, shot placement, shot placement. Aim, stay cool, and take your time. 9mm will operate like any round when you hit someone in the head. The result being death
It’s great for cleaning filth off the streets.
9mm is like blue jeans. Been around forever, very practical, works great from hard work to casual wear, and not one person hasn't have a pair of jeans for whatever reason.
I wear hiking pants with dress pockets because I hike, and like more modern materials, more innovative pockets, and feels and wears more a tune to my tastes and lifestyle. I carry a Sig in .357SIG.
Just like hiking in jeans is a little Amish for anyone's standards even with better and synthetic materials, the progress in propellants and ballistics of 9mm just don't meet my post-beginner standard of a CCW caliber especially after getting used to it.
But for me to say 9mm is a round you shouldn't carry or shoot would be equivalent to me saying you shouldn't wear blue jeans because they were invented over a 100 years ago. It's your personal preference man.
based wittgenstein-style analogy argument poster
FBI has shot more people than you tho
just mad cause .38 spl is so good
That was an actual incident. Look up “9mm carhart”
Nah that's bullshit. FBI wants to kill people dead when they shoot them. You're off your rocker.
I hike in jeans.
Dogs don't count
.40 Super and Wonderful is superior to both 9micromeme and .45 Actually Can't Penetrate
policemag.com
Take your meme round somewhere else. .40 shitty and worthless is dead.
The first 7 lines of this make a pretty good pasta for people bringing up the fbi switch to 9mm.
And been caught lying or misrepresenting scientific findings or principles on numerous occasions some of which have resulted in literally thousands of overturned cases.
Trusting the FBI at their word is hilarious, and they absolutely will not show their data, just engage in their typical urey patrick martin fackler circular quote circle jerk.
>happened one time
Better ditch those .40s then, they can't penetrate more than an inch or two in real person! .50 bmg or bust.

Honestly, there is no such thing as the “best caliber”.
9mm is lethal, and has good capacity.
.45 is lethal, and has enough capacity (if you need more than 7-10 shots per mag, then shoot better, and don’t get yourself into fights like that)
.40 is lethal, and has enough capacity
10mm is lethal, and has enough capacity.
The best round is the round that works for you, and are most comfortable with.
Since all handgun rounds suck at killing due to lack of energy, you might as well get the handgun round that has the most capacity and least recoil while still maintaining proper penetration and reliable expansion utilizing hollowpoints. You know what that round is? 9 fucking millimeter.
All of the big 3, ALL OF THEM. .40S&W, 9mm, and .45 ACP have equivalent results with modern JHP ammunition. That has been proven and stated time and time again. Therefore there's really no reason not to use 9mm.
>defensivecarry.com
>guy gets hit 17 times
>6 times with .40, all penetrating less than a couple inches and doing jack shit
>bullets "so pristine they still had rifling marks"
>shot 11 times with 5.56 all pass through but did penetrate adequately at least
>FBI tests deputy's ammo and it passes with flying colors
>say that it's impossible for the .40 to only penetrate 1" and expand
>deflect blame on to the 5.56 for not expanding
gel fags btfo
how the fuck is that possible. so is .40S&W really that shitty?
>Tattoo on deceased says "LIve by the gun, die by the gun"
fucking lol
Honestly im pretty much just memeing at this point, the only thing that makes logical sense would be the bullets hitting something that caused them to expand before continuing on and hitting the subject. Considering the subject was taking cover behind a car i have no fucking clue what that could've been though.
Real take away is that bullets do weird shit in real life.
Give me magazine fed 38spl and you've got a deal
NO, lets be real here, the 22 WMR is the actual king in this situation. It has the same amount of toe pounds per energy as the 9mm, BUT it's less heavy and thinner. Therefore you are able to carry more in the magazine and with you as well. Kel-Tec PMR-30 is a perfect example of its performance.
First google result for "9mm carhartt" that wasn't an ad.
