Why don’t you own a Makarov yet? They are drying up

You just bought your first circle 10 Arsenal Bulgaria Makarov pistol. You eagerly take the pistol out of the box and strip the gun down. You are shocked at how simple the design is.. and totally disassemble it in 15 seconds..As you clean the cosmoline away, you are overtaken by the nostalgia of a bygone Cold War era. You notice the perfect mirror bluing of the slide, a pristine chrome lined bore, and glistening marbled Bakelite grips displaying a star. You begin to realize the historical significance and supreme aesthetics that the pistol represents. You go to the range and shoot 100 rounds. Not one jam (unlike your 1911). People around you notice the firearm and want to shoot the historical, yet very practical piece. You begin to understand the incredible reliability and simplicity of the Makarov. You even shed a few tears just thinking about the accolades that this military pistol has amassed. Upon your return home from the range, you begin the process of buying another one

I'd rather buy a 1911

for $249?

I don't have one because I want it but I want a lot of other guns. I'll get one eventually. You say they are "drying up" but there are so many out there that they will be available for a long time.

it looks like the latest batch at classic firearms isn't in very good shape and I don't know who else sells them for a decent price. I have wanted one for a while.

But I do.

Slavic junk get a sig P320

Trying to upgrade my carry gun (currently a Mak).
Stuck between P230 or P239

>tfw under 21

I DO want one. Very badly in fact. The problem is, I'm 18.

Because I already have a P-64 :D

Attached: 20180411_222245.jpg (2530x2703, 3.3M)

If I had to choose just one, which should I get? P64 or P83?

got a p64 instead, makarovs were temporarily out of stock in the places i looked when i got it. i also made the mistake of getting the earlier p64 model that the cheaper than dirt mags dont work on

P83 hands down. P64 trigger is shit.

fuck that shit, great gun, but why get 9x18, when 9x19 is the way to go?

Can you find them that cheap in Commiefornia? I'm not having any luck

>why get 9x18, when 9x19 is the way to go?
Some of us are less susceptible to group-think. Caliber-war fags are the worst.

But seriously, why not both?

Attached: 92d.jpg (211x239, 5K)

I don't want to stock another caliber and I'd rather have a Tokarev in 9mm for pure Soviet in a caliber that's much more affordable than 7.62x25.

i am just going with the standard, since you can find 9x19 everywhere. 9x18 is great, but if you are in america, 9x19 is literally falling out of the shelves... i am just saying... i know i am going to be called mean names now. or mean depressed guy or frog memes.

Because my P38 is better.

I bought one just a few weeks ago.

Who gives a shit if its "falling off the shelves"? If you dont buy your ammo online or reload in 2018 you're giving away your money.

And to answer your question, because it falls between .380 and 9mm in muzzle energy which is more than adequate and it comes in concealable, direct blowback guns which is a unique feature that does not exist for 9mm.

shut the hell up pussy, 9mm is the best mass produced pistol round such my dick and fgith me

>bulgarian

Nein, my mak is an east german boi.

>tfw modernized subcompact alloy frame double stack Mak in .380 never became a thing
All we have is this ugly thing.

i got one for $300, you just need to know where to look

you need to get better shelves, user

Just got paid and I’m a little drunk so why not, just bought one off jg cause of this thread, thanks op

Congrats! I bought one from this last batch too. (The ones at classic are fine by the way). Bakelite grips are selling for less than 20 bucks on ebay right now

my friends dad NDed his into the floor lol. It bounced off the wood and was stopped by the curtains

I'd carry my mak if the fucking DA trigger worked. I literally pull it and the hammer doesn't drop. gun works fine in SA.

What's a good CC holster for a Mak? I normally carry IWB about 5 o'clock.

Private sale, find one on Armslist

I got mine from classic, I paid for hand select but what I got was pretty great for their hand select practices. I got both sets of grips, it was brand new looking, and it was actually russian made. Much joy. Not that I would ever assume they did a good thing on purpose over at classic.

What kinda shitty ammo was he carrying?

I've already got an actual Walther, why would I want a slav Walther?

>i was too poor to buy a real pistol so Ill pretend my 20 year old ass is fascinated by some cheap surplus from a literal who country

>implying my overpriced M45A1 ever malfunctioned
>not having both

I'm saving up for a zastava m57, does that count?

Why would I ever own a commie piece of shit pistol when my American made 1911 will out perform it? And by the way 1911s don't jam, shitty commie guns jam.

>I normally carry IWB about 5 o'clock.
why at 5pm? I carry mine all day!

Attached: 1519193560447.jpg (900x675, 157K)

I got mine from J&G Sales. Brand fucking new 1988 model!

Attached: 1517301209239.jpg (3006x3079, 1.62M)

SR1MP?

Sold mine and bought a Glock 19. Very happy with my decision.

No, you poorfag frogposter.

>loaded chamber indicator
>barrel uncovered by the slide
>no glorious stars of communism on the grips
>not chambered in the glorious 9x18 Makarov caliber
>bakelite has faded like fascism has over the years
>glorious makarov bakelite grip shines eternally
>P38 made by forced laborers in concentration camps
>not the highly skilled but extremely underpaid workers of eastern europe.

They said the same thing 'bout the Mosins....

But I do own a makarov, my autistic friend bought one for me and I love it

Attached: 0mSQQtB.gif (250x250, 1.82M)

We're not all turbo poor.

so poor I can only offer the Dindus $1.75 worth of ammo Thats all 8 rounds! Why would you pay more?

Attached: coon2.jpg (340x250, 94K)

>Makarov for $300
>you just need to know where to look
Alright buddy

Last December Sportsman's Guide had Bulgarians for 199 and P83s for 179. I picked up a couple of each for trade bait.

>what is reading comprehension
Pretty sure he was talking about a 1911.

Jgsales has a twofer, a p83 and P64 for $399

Attached: 1359254254963.jpg (480x480, 49K)

Since getting a gun license in Pooland is expensive and you need to be 21 to get one I found a very cheap offer for a 4,5mm Baikal Makarov.

A-am i still in the club g-guys?

Attached: baikal45mm.jpg (1920x1080, 487K)

He CCs it!

Attached: laughingwhores.jpg (1920x1080, 149K)

How's the Wanad?

made in the same factory

FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU CALIFORNIA FUCK YOU I WANTED THIS GUN, GETTING READY TO BUY 30 BUT NOOO IT'S NOT ON THE FUCKING ROSTER

>reloading 9mm

They are weird pieces, truth be told. As Maks mockups they are magnificent, I own real Maks and the Baikal feels the same in your hand and the disassembly is identical. As air guns they are mediocre, with crappy sights, weird barrels and uneven precision. Also no dick grips or leather holsters because they are patterned on the later Mak patterns with enhanced mags.

They are fun toys, but get 'em cheap.

I love my Makarov, but I don't carry it because I'm a revolverfag.

Move to Maine.

u wot?
I'm a Calfag and I've definitely seen Maks for sale at some of the gun stores near me. Granted some of those places are kinda sketch and play fast and loose with the laws but still, they out here.

I live in canada

Ouch. Sorry, guy

Cuz I have a Tokarev and a Beretta 92FS and I don't need anything else.

Does your dad know Hornady makes carry ammo for that?

>380 Slav

That's going right up there with 45aarp

Because why .355 when .357?

I just don't get it why you would choose 9mm Makarov
>if you want something small & light with low recoil = 380 acp
>if you want something with more power = 9mm Luger
9mm Mak is between those 2, but is too snappy in pocket guns and too weak compared to 9mm Luger

Attached: Ian_worried.jpg (377x323, 74K)

Because one's for warm weather pocket carry, and the other one is for the rest of the year.

>trying to write some shitty "emotional" story for a mediocre gun that isn't anything special
Guess what, your pistol sat in a crate for decades because the USSR rarely did much besides have proxy wars. Your gun was made, issued, then sent to a warehouse to be used in case of emergency. When said emergency came it was pawned off onto the US civilian market as a cheap beater gun. I own and have owned multiple flavors of Snakarov and they're really nothing special. I use mine more as a bottle openers and book ends than take to the range. I truly do not understand this veneration of slavshit. Slav guns are for the most part simply okay. Don't pretend that unless your gun is beat to shit and was captured or sold as a war pickup, your glorified bottle opener never saw combat, never won accolades, and never took another human being's life.

Attached: u36hrn15bqz01.jpg (784x1564, 188K)

I wanna get one because I'm Polish but I also want a Mak

makarov experts, I'm a poorfag (not from US) and the only Makarov I can get that's in a condition I'd be comfortable carrying is one from Norinco.
It's veeeery nicely priced, pretty much equivalent of 150 USD, much cheaper than anything else I could CC, and as said before - perfect condition.
So, here's the question - are Norinco Mak's good enough to carry or are they unreliable/problematic/whatever?

>Guess what, your pistol sat in a crate for decades because the USSR rarely did much besides have proxy wars. Your gun was made, issued, then sent to a warehouse to be used in case of emergency. When said emergency came it was pawned off onto the US civilian market as a cheap beater gun.

Guess what - that's the story of 99,9% of handguns. Bah, even if they were issued, they were almost never used because military handguns are ALWAYS emergency you absolute retard.

Attached: 1528578746869.gif (240x221, 1017K)

Because I don't want one, and think they're ugly as sin.

I own two and have had three in total.

Attached: IMG_0196.jpg (1628x1300, 1.01M)

They're fine. The difference in quality between Maks made by different countries is very slight.

I am jelly of that pocket hammerless

You have problems kid

>tfw no doublestackerov

How's your Baikal shoot with that fixed sight? I put one on mine because the adjustable sight was missing the plunger and it shoots low every time.

>Not killing nogs with $2.50 a piece .300 Win Mag boutique loadings and $2.00 a piece big bore revolver cartridges

Do you even safari?

Most guns are pretty easy to disassemble, especially pistols.

just fine, I got the fixed sight because the windage adjustment was coming loose.

Weird, I shot it yesterday with the fixed sight and it kept hitting about six inches low at 10-15 yards. I guess I might need to shim it and at some locktight to the adjusting screw.

holy shit, a live, walking talking burger

somebody get the harpoon

>Guess what - that's the story of 99,9% of handguns. Bah, even if they were issued, they were almost never used because military handguns are ALWAYS emergency you absolute retard.
I never said anything of the contrary you illiterate mong. I think OP is retarded for having shitty slavaboo dreams of a mediocre military handgun.

Autism: the post
you do realize OP's post is tongue-in-cheek? Since he likes the gun but sees the gun for what it is, he idealizes it in an obviously pompous manner throughout the whole post.

can you fire 9x19 in makarov?

Jokes on you, my P38 has capture marks.
