When macho gun owners with more wealth or muscles or military service and discipline show off their guns aka an additional measure of their independence and capability to defend themselves, then liberals HAVE to attack their manlihood or other compensation because otherwise that would imply that well-off middle class conservatives who are probably whiter, educated, and serve the military more are just better human beings than them.
