The shame about the thread is there's a point to be read here. I feel like this both about politics and guns, and that's mostly because they're intrinsically linked in this nation at this point. I feel like we need a younger generation, measured and stylish to really sell all of this. The kinds of people to go around here but willing to hide their power level.
The problem is the artistic types have to pretend they don't like right wing thought or guns at all to get anywhere, or are never shown this avenue at all. They get driven off so we lose that aesthetic sense, and look like old, fat, abrasive boomers. It's a complex issue and it's really unfortunate it's an issue.
There's a couple people who try, a couple youtube channels that make a great effort at it, but it's few and far in between. Probably the worst part is that being in the middle of it and missing the mark just leads to cringy, fedora-tipping, supreme gentleman shit, which is also the opposite of what we need.
I don't know. I think John Wick is really popular for a reason. I think it's exactly what we need. Keanu himself dressed in a sharp, well-tailored suit operating operationally - great. Weapon choice, actual tactics and training used - great, people want to be that. Choreography, technical level of action scenes - perfect for our times, really. But the cinematography, the pace of the films, the color choice - that's a huge one. We need more work stylish as that that loves our kind of stuff.
