Ah, the infamous Sherman. Often referred to as the 'Tommy Cooker' by the Germans. The nickname referred to when the Germans starving from lack of rations, would scavenge destroyed Sherman tanks for the precious cooked meat inside. In fact, the designers of the Sherman designed it to light every time, so that cooking of the crews was guaranteed. Of course, the Germans would often eat the allied tank crews whether they were cooked or not, regardless. My grandpappy told me this in great detail when I was a young boy. Truly the horrors of war.

I like the Sherman, generally speaking a very good tank that dominated the field when it first appeared and continued to be relevant with various upgrades. If I had to choose a WWII tank to seriously use today it would probably be an M4A3E8 simply due to reliability and that nice suspension.
I am also very, very fond of the Panzer IV. What it lacked in armor protection (particularly later in the war, although is armor was for the most part decent), it made up for in relative mechanical reliability, crew comfort, optics and other support features, and excellent firepower (from the F2 variant onward). It has the distinction one of if not the longest serving tanks of the Second World War, and that is nothing to sniff at.
The T-34.... well, it was easy to build and made excellent use of sloped armor. To be fair to its design many reliability issues can be attributed to shitty construction rather than design issues. I wouldn't want to use use one given most other options due to the reliability issues and total disregard for crew comfort or safety.
The Panther was good concept bogged down by design and construction flaws caused by a rush to get it into service. It performed rather well in spite of these issues, I think, although it was no silver bullet. Excellent aesthetics, too.
There's a lot more I could say about this topic, but I don't feel like it.

They are all great in their own way, but you can have a personal favorite that you like. Like I have this baby that I love for it's pure absurdity and the fact that it was actually pretty good when it first rolled out.
