Hey, got a new Glock 21 gen 4. First gen 4. Slide is almost impossible to release with catch when pulled back with an empty mag in it. Is this bent piece a part of the issue? Or will it get better with time? Gen 4 on right gen 3 19 onleft. Thanks

Wtf did you do?

why are you trying to close the slide with an empty magazine in it?

Holy shit user hahahahaha

How did you fuck your ejector up so badly?

Have no idea... it still cycles rounds perfectly. Doesn’t seem to matter if a empty mag is in it or not. Super hard to release the slide.

Do you want an extended slide release? I've got one sitting around for a Glock 21 that I ended up selling, so you can have it if you want.

sharpiepainter at gmail

That's the normal ejector for the 10mm/.45

You need an extended slide release if you want a less PERFECT pistol. You can find OEM 3 hole releases for $15 on Fixxer or amazon.

Thanks.

Will consider. Screen shot ting your email. Thank you. Do you think it will get better through time? Hate to mod a new gun if it’s something time and use will fix. I have no safe queens so this will get used as truck gun.

It should get better with time.

You're adding the weight of the empty clip spring to the slide stop spring (last round hold open). It's always going to be way harder to hit the slide stop that way, I can't even do it on a few of my guns. Take the clip out and it'll pop right closed.

Instead of leaping straight to embarrassing noguns shitposting you guys can actually google things if you want to look like less moronic next time.

It gets better with time, just do it over and over again until it smooths out.
I had the same issue with a brand new slide release in my poly80 Glock 22 and it worked itself out after using it a few times.

What you mean to say, Burt, is "magazine," not "clip." Someone should really trepan a hole in your face and fuckstart your skull.

>he thinks the ejector applies pressure to the slide
>glawk poster
the memes really write themselves

glocks don’t have slide releases, they have slide stops. proper manual of arms is to sling shot the slide on glawk brand glawk. hence why it’s so hard to drop the slide via tab

as for why is so stiff
stiffer recoil spring (fuddyfive vs 9mm)
more pressure on slide stop
harder to release

Shut up autist.

You too.

Thank you....

It's not hard at all unless you have a brand new slide release

Its the magazine you dumb fuck. New mag means strong spring pushing the follower. Strong spring makes slide stop harder to push down.

it’s literally label “slide stop” in the parts diagram
ask any glawk rep and they will tell you it’s not designed to drop the slide
the “official” manual of arms for glock is sling shot method
now if course people can and do use it to drop the slide but according to your lord and savior Gaston its not and never was designed to be a slide release

christ I don’t even own a glock and know this shit

You should be slingshotting the slide instead of using the slide stop as per the manual.

...

A. Ejectors are different for those two calibers of Glocks.
B. Buy an extended slide stop if you want to use it as a slide release.
C. It's going to be hard as fuck either way with an empty mag inserted, not sure why you are practicing that. Take out the mag or put in dummy rounds.

the 'tism is strong with this one

>I don’t even own a glock
Yeah, that's obvious.

How about you take the magazine out and try again? Or put a dummy round in the magazine and drop the slide on that? The problem here is obviously the empty magazine in the magwell. From what I remember, the mag catch on the large frame Glocks is a little harder to operate than the one on the small frame Glocks, but it will work under normal operation.

Do not "unbend" that piece of metal. That is the ejector and is responsible for kicking out spent casings from the gun's action while cycling.

You're probably the same retard who only owns one mosin and has been shitposting about your hatred for Glocks the past week. You know nothing about the subject, but your opinions are stronger than the people who know what they're talking about. Kill yourself.

>the mag catch on the large frame Glocks
Excuse me, *slide catch.

>My ancient fuddlore from 1911 is applicable to all guns
no U

>a non standard part
To me user seems pretty correct here
Glock is designed to be slingshotted

Wtf are you talking about? The 1911 has a large and very easily accessible slide catch
