Wrong.

>He thinks aluminum cans are made from the same aluminum used to make lowers

>b b but muh just as good as steel

PROTIP: it’s dont

>daily reminder: OP is a fag

The walls of an aluminium can are about 0.11mm thick, 0.4% of an inch. Yet it can stand up to roughly 250lbs pressing down from straight above. It ain't bad shit in them. It might not be the best material out there for a receiver or so, but it could certainly be a lot fucking worse as well.

Daily reminder that unless it's Zamak it's fine.

Better than plastic every day of the year.

You're wrong.

Aluminum cans are actually harder then AR receivers, you think its soft because their thin as hell.

What year is this?

Isn't aluminium a softer metal than steel ?

>he thinks military grade means anything significant
Lmaoing@your life

depends but yes

Not OP, but could you pretty please write up an explanation as to why he's wrong, so the rest of us can copypasta it from this day to the end of days?

I imagine OP likes wood.

What an idiot

Yes, because dropping the weight to 1/3 the original isn't worthwhile.

Walking home today, some fucker bumped into me and instantly started talking shit about aluminum being the best metal. I tried to remain calm and explain to him that iron was actually the best metal, but he wouldn't take a hint. He started throwing around words like "rust" and I lost it. Punched him right in his aluminum loving fuck face.

I hate aluminum so goddamn much.

>PROTIP: it’s dont
Dunno if that's bait or not, but it's funny as hell.

>Yet it can stand up to roughly 250lbs pressing down from straight above.
yeah when it's filled with a beverage you dipshit.
Aluminum works fine for receivers but don't start talking out your ass to prove a point.

i think you mean sealed and pressurized. Why don't you go out and grab a ribbed can like goya puts out, empty it and try to crush it on your head, report back. I'll wait.
>lol no i won't

It can withstand 250lbs empty.

no it doesn't depend on shit. Aluminum in all instances is softer than steel fuck wit.

>he doesn't own a can cannon
I laugh at your ignorant sorrow

The only good 92fs is the fully stainless steel ghost variant, not a single gram of aluminum.

Daily reminder that retards have no place on Jow Forums. OP, does your handler know you are on Jow Forums?

Two can play at this game you dumb piece of shit.

Daily reminder that aluminum exposure has given you early onset dementia and you have no business being around guns.

Do you stick every object you come into contact with in your mouth? It would explain a lot.

Does getting a whiff of it when it's got the LPX on count?

ur a nigger

But calling someone "fuck wit" doesn't make your ignorance any smarter.

Low-carbon steel ranges from about 85 to 125 Brinell, depending on the exact carbon content and cold-working.
6061-T6 is 95 Brinell.
7075-T6 is 150 Brinell.

Guess your mother wouldn't be able to stand on it then.

This.

What about scopes? They're made of aluminum.

The 1960s called, they want you back

I would suck 1000 cocks to have Beretta produce these again.

I really enjoy this meme

Not even trimethylaluminum?

Attached: m202_flash.jpg (650x362, 45K)

I would suck 1000 cocks for nothing as long as I don't catch anything.

Take your meds grandpa.

You too. Christ, is it computer day at the retirement home?

7075 t6 is rockwell hardness of 53, anything harder and you are into knives. There is tons of steel softer than that. In fact a lot of it in firearms.
Also you retarded just for saying that. Steel is hardened or softened depending on intended. use.

You would as that gun is gay as fuck.

>7075 t6 is rockwell hardness of 53
It's don't.

7075 has a Rockwell A hardness of 53, which is a completely different method of hardness measurement and several orders of magnitude lower than any cutting tool. Any knife blade is dramatically harder than 7075.

UNLESS if you're talking about the very thin layer of aluminum oxide that always develops on the surface of bare aluminum, but is too thin to really do anything.

7075 Aluminium is THE BEST, super lightweight, tensile strength like C45 steel, and if it is anodized, superb surface hardness. There is nothing that can match these materials for guns!

Aluminum is one of the hardest metals known the man

>all aluminum must be same
>cz 75 pcr
>ar15
>aluminum is used to make engines
I cant tell if this is a shitty bait or OP is just a prokaryotic mutt

I feel like this is the new "why new car so flimsy than old car, new car fly apart if bee hit it lmao!!!" boomer meme.

Steel isn't great. It's don't.

Isn't your mum a massive whore?

Aluminum engines typically have live iron cylinder sleeves. t. Honda nigger.

I want a aluminum AR-15 furniture set.

Now for some reason i want a solid aluminum can

Attached: 807.jpg (740x533, 81K)

Aluminum is really strong but light, one pound of aluminum weighs like half a pound.

You can literally make lowers out of plastic. It doesn't matter what alloy you use; it's a lower.

I'm studying mechanical engineering with a materials specialization. You're just wrong. Just as wrong as people who think polymer is incapable of proper implementation in firearms. If you use the right types of polymer and aluminum they can be extremely strong and durable, more than enough for use in a gun.

Why are people who aren't educated on the topic so confident in their opinions? How can they even form such an adamant opinion without knowing the science in the first place? Doesn't make sense to me.

It's the internet i think. People can spew unfounded bullshit all day err' day without any consequences. It gets the worst when people discuss themes like 5th gen combat aircraft and modern SAM systems.

Are you literally retarded?

Attached: 1476408047283.jpg (2193x2617, 406K)

Polymer handguns have longer services lives than steel handguns and require less maintenance to operate properly and reach or exceed that service life.

>military grade
>anything other than lowest bidder

M9 is still produced?

I don't have any aluminum guns, also I don't go licking everything I see like a fucking retard, so I'm probably going to be fine.

I like aluminum
